Loved the funky atmosphere. Clean, cool accomadation on a lovely beach. Great food, what you see on Internet is what you get.
fantastic location friendly staff cozy room the breakfast
standard of the room and the hard beds ants in the room
It was lovely waking up in a little bungalow and eating breakfast on the beach front. The staff were friendly and helpful. The resort was nice and quiet so slept well. Good aircon, great wifi
Good breakfast, nice room with a sea-view, good location for exploring the northern side of Koh Samui. On Thursdays a night market on the street and on Fridays a night market on the fishermans village (about 10 min drive from the hotel). We appreciated the fact that the facilities were maintained well (some painting was even done when we were there). The beach is nice although in the afternoon when the low tides come a nearby river washed out just by the hotel beach. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
More sun beds needed, elderly people starts putting towels on the sun -beds at 7 a.m. and reserving them although they will stay at the room until 10 a.m.
I would like to compliment the hotel for the service they provided: firstly, due to a cancelled flight I needed to check-in one day later and they didn't charge me the extra night (despite the booking policy that stated otherwise). Secondly, I stupidly forgot my scarf at the hotel and the hotel manager sent it to my hotel in Bangkok with an express mail service and he paid for it himself refusing to receive compensation. The hotel is located on one of the quiet beaches of the island (so if you're after bars and restaurants you'll be disappointed) and it's the perfect place to relax. There's also a great massage service right outside the hotel and the hotel's cafe has a great selection of snacks and drinks (and a view to the beach of course).
we got the beachfront bungalow, which had an amazing view.
didn't like the hotel amenities very much. Pool was very small, sun beds were not cleaned by our bungalow, and room service was very poor.
Staff were very friendly. Nice Ocean view, food was good.
Generally the resort was clean. Rooms were dirty as in the walls and doors, could do with a lick of paint. The shower rarely worked. We were constantly calling the engineer to fix the hot water and after a day in the heat this is not good. Wouldn't stay there again.
The staff really helpfull and great to have a private beach
Daily electrical problems with the shower forced us to seek assistance from the front desk continuously. Stinky restroom. And finally the room is a little too small: the only piece of furniture that fits inside the room itself is the bed.
The Hammock resort is really a rustic home away from home. In a peaceful location, a place to really relax in simple bungalows with everything you need. Ghandy & his staff were like family, they go out of their way to help you with anything and make your stay perfect. This isn't a 5 star pool resort, it is a rustic bungalow resort that is clean and perfect for a real break.
Mae Nam was further that we thought - so rented a scooter for 5 days :) problem fixed!
Rooms very cute, lovely beach, but weather turned windy& wet.Not wheel chair friendly, good location to the town & other shots etc. I would stay there again.
The bed too hard for me.
I wanted to stay somewhere not very touristy but traveling to the highest possible season. Choosing Mae Nam beach and Hammock bungalows was a very good decision. The hotel is small, cozy, has a friendly / home feel. Right by the sea, ok / nice breakfast, plenty of sun beds, free ones were always available... though I am sure hotel was full. Staff was nice, helpful and friendly. There is a small swimming pool, the aircon and wi-fi in the room worked well. Overall my stay was wonderful!
The room was not cleaned during 3 nights I stayed. Bungalows are not single standing but are attached to each other, which makes them a bit crowded. But I knew this before so was ok with it.
Loved the beach, the view and the chilled energy !!
nice simple place is located direct on the beach. Good beach, clean bungalows and perfect location
Air con, breakfast and wifi. The bungalow hotel Hacienda next to Hammock is way nicer in every way and cheeper aswell with friendly staff and massage oppurtunities.
Pool, beds are really hard, roms are full of antz (in bed allso), mold in the room, curtains and bathroom, smels wierd.
The room is not large, but white interior is well designed. A small terrace with sunbeds and the view on Koh Phangan is a good option. Beach towels are a valuable pleasant detail.
The internet photos make you expect that rooms and generally the space of the hotel are much larger than they really are. In the end of our stay sunbeds from other terraces were moved to the beach. Do really sunbeds belong to beachfront rooms? If not than terrace is practically useless.
It's located right next to the beach. The decoration at the resort and in the rooms are very sweet. A very nice small resort to spend the holiday!
It was a bit hard to find. It's located on the quieter side of the island therefore will be better to have your own transportation to get around.
Friendly personal. Easy to rent a scooter from the hotel. Rooms are simple, but adequate.
We stayed for 4 days, the place was good, right on the beach. There was a storm while we were there and there was no power for one day and the next day our aircon and hot water was not working. We complained and everything was sorted thanks to Ghandy, the gentleman at reception, we thought our stay was ruined but thanks to the great service from Ghandy I will highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing holiday.
Nothing to complain - everything offered by the hotel from staffs, services, room facilities, nice view, atmosphere and food during my 4 nights stay were just perfect meeting my expectation. The resort is a cosy and small one right on the peaceful Mae Nam beach. Staffs are helpful and service-minds. Room is lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was just Good in quality and tasty. It's pool is small but nice. Overall, I like this resort and consider to be back here again when I will be back to this island.
A bit strong smell of a toilet
Great Breakfast! Very comfortable and perfect to spend a very relaxed vacation. There are some very good restaurants close by. It is very close to the night market on thursdays
If you go on high tide season the water of the beach can be a little dark
Good staff, good breakfast. Location on a nice - and most importantly clean - beach. Unlike in Railay and Ko Lanta, people are hired to clean and sweep the beach every morning. What a difference that makes!
Nice and friendly staff Breakfast was okay Wifi was perfect Near the beach and restaurants Our room was very cheap and we thought we got good value for the money
We had ants in the room/bed/everywhere Showerwater was sometimes warm, sometimes cold Cold and not very clean oceanwater(can't blame the hotel for this though)
I was traveling by myself to relax and do some work online. I am so happy to have chosen The Hammock because it is super picturesquely located directly at the sea and away from the craziness of the party district. Super clean and modern with all facilities you could think of for a cosy holiday (DVD player, umbrellas, beach bags). It has a noise curfew after 10 which is great, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I almost felt like on a romantic holiday with myself. Would definitely go again!
very good price for a one night stay for next day connecting flight. good breakfast, excellent staff with some english , ocean view
