The staff were very kind and helpful
We booked the motropolitan terrace(I think it's the second best room in Metropolitan), but with the same price you can stay near Siam square with easy access to food, transport and shopping or at the riverside with nicest view, besides, this hotel is very inconvenient, you can't access to any restaurant or public transport system in a walking distance. Absolutely no any kind of view. Maybe it's a designer's boutique hotel, but the furnitures are so not comfy, the decoration is just looks cheap or simple if you'd like to call it a style.
Bed was quite hard, like most I've encounted in Asia
We liked everything however we were most impressed with the staff and how their hospitality humbled us. We arrived late, tired and hungry. Despite the time, the receptionist managed to book us a table at the restaurant (food superb!). On return to our room we found a tray with a Birthday cake for us (Birthday the following week), candles and tea. Incidentally, fresh fruit is provided daily together with three bottles of water each. Finally, I have never been anywhere where the pool staff cover your sunbed with a huge, soft towel and bring you iced water. Loved it and will definitely go back!
It was slightly cold in the bar due to the air con. Great for most people but I love the heat.
everything was beautiful at the metropolitan, the room, the spa, nahm restaurant. perfect stop over in bangkok
Very nice clean hotel
Not located close to sights
Seclusion from the razzmatazz
Distance from downtown
Impressive hotel that is very well located. Great atmosphere. healthy and varied breakfast and a very big bedroom. The sporting facilities are very reasonable and the complimentary yoga or pilates classes are not to be missed
The stay was made extra special for us which we really appreciated, We loved the bath overlooking the city and the awesome restaurant experience. We hope to spend more time in Bangkok and we would definitely stay at the Metropolitan on our next visit.
Staff. Nahm. Clean and comfortable.
Not much very close. The lunch restaurant small selection and pricy.
Clean, nice pool, lovely breakfast.
The super minimalist design was cool ten years ago, but these days it appears rather dated, and most importantly, it is rather cold and dull. I would recommend replacing the black (!) room floor for a start.
Everything !!! Especially for our Honey moon trip, Spa, massage
Everything was excellent just what I expected and better. We were only there for 3 nights and were made to feel very important and welcomed by your manager which was a very nice touch
Bar Prices a little bit high compared to the rest of the bars we visited
Bathroom wasn't very clean and the room was extremely noisey. I couldn't sleep.
Very nice rooms, with all facilities. Very quiet place in an extremely busy and noisy city. Perfect for some relaxation after a day of citytripping in Bangkok! And the breakfast is delicious!!!! We had the chance the have dinner at Nahm, said to be one of the best restaurants in Bangkok, which was divine!!!! It was the best Thai food I have ever eaten! Only for that I would like to go back!
Spacious, modern room and bathroom (the toiletries smell divine!) Attentive and accommodating staff. We loved the gym and spa facilities. We highly recommend the Metropolitan and will return!
Breakfast wasn't included in our package and was pricey.
we stayed in a suite room for christmas. very nice service and swimming pool. its difficult to find big swmming pool in bangkok. but this was perfect. also the spa and so on.
only the bad thing was the room service. the food was little bit cold..and the pad thai noodles were stiff... but overall taste was good.
I had a lovely big bath. Nice sheets.
The room service food was awful and ridiculously expensive. When I complained about the soup being inedible I was told it is supposed to be a cold soup. It don't mind it being cold, it just tasted horrible. A massage was more expensive that at a five star hotel in Australia which is just stupid and annoying. It is a considerable walk to the Sky train station which on a hot day would be awful.
Althought we stayed for one night, everything looked orderly and beautiful and the staff helpful.
There were no electricity outlets by the bed
Staff are good Internet is good and free (this should be free for guests) very good gestures from the metropolitan Other hotels such as five stars hotels usually make you pay for one device only which i dont like about grand hyatt Metropolitan hotel is just ideal hotel.
Location is the downside although it's quiet but the only way to go to places is by a cab or to walk. A little improvement with food
Spacious, modern and very comfortable room (studio). Loved the gym and steam room. Great, friendly service.
Breakfast wasn't included in our room rate and was expensive.
Staff pleasant and happy and eager to help
Building converted from an old YMCA, so hallways are dark with low ceilings as are rooms. Found hotel dreary and depressing..pictures on website much better than actual hotel. Bangkok has lots of GREAT hotels at same price point. I left this hotel and found another. Also...charging additional for breakfast in a city where at $150 you can get a free breakfast at a 4/5 star, is a sin.
Very nice accommodations, great dining options, great location, friendly and attentive staff.
Bangkok itself turned out to be not our cup of tea, but we enjoyed the hotel.
Loved everything about the hotel. • The location (right next to the Banyan Tree - so easy for cab drivers to find it). • The decor (modern, sexy, cool and smart) • The dining options (Nahm, Glow, their healthy breakfast and lunch place, Met, their cocktail lounge) were all excellent. • The staff (Polite, friendly, helpful)
The only thing I didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer. Wish we'd gone here on the first leg of our Thailand trip, instead of the other place we stayed. ;)
