awful bathroom, dirty bathroom, algae in pool, horrible neighborhood
Location too far away from town. Have stayed in 100's hotel-apartments but the bed here would be the worst. Swimming pool more like a gold fish bowl. Breakfast is no show, except for an eggs and noodle soup. Better off having breakfast in the street shops outside the apartments.
Staff are all extremely nice and speak English very well which is not common in Thailand. They quietly upgraded us to a suite so we ended up paying $30 for a truly 5 star suite. Everything is clean, room decor is stylish and non-obtrusive. High quality materials and beautiful finish. Super fast internet. We felt cared for. We send our smiles to the lady in charge of the kitchen when we had breakfast.
This is really minor but screen door on our room was low quality one, hard to open and close, which didn't fit with everything else. But again, this is not a complaint, just a suggestion what can be improved.
In general all was very good. The breakfast was Good, the personal Of the Hotel Ok. Bathroom and Bed Ok too. // en general todo estuvo bien, el desayuno incluido. El personal Ok. Baños y cama ok too.
The wifi was very slow. // El internet fue bastante lento, deberian mejorar eso.
Wonderful, helpful, cheery staff! Safe location HUGE clean room Modern finishes Nice pool (but small)
Needed a scooter Only got 2 towels (no hand towels or face towels)
Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet area. Very comfortable spacious, and well equipped room.
Plumbing problems, toilets blocking up, shower running out of hot water.
Their service is pretty good, especially the youngest boy who takes charge of night duty. He is very kind & patient to help customers solve different kinds of problems. Of course he is the most enthusiastic staff who gives customers so wonderful journey~
The location is a little bit remote that some taxi drivers even don't know how to get here.
The place has a friendly pack packer feel to it. Guests happily chat to one another and help out with directions etc. The one bedroom apartments are large with a separate bedroom but the kitchenette is barely that.Good cheap Thai bars nearby, laundry opposite and do try the Spirit House restaurant up the road for a meal if your there.
The "polished" concrete corridors have a prison feel to them, the staff bar two exceptions barely speak any English and the pool area never ever sees one ray on sunshine so no sunbathing at all. Being out of town Tuk Tuk and taxis charge a big premium for coming out so if you don't have a motor bike you with pay well over the odds to get in and out of the old city. Cycling is not for the feint hearted given the size of Chiang Mai now.The hotel is run like a hostel though the daily rates are higher than the Grand Napat.
