Moevenpick Resort Bangtao Beach Phuket  

Moevenpick Resort Bangtao Beach Phuket was a hotel that the management of The Palm Beach Club changed. All facilities, equipment, and the adornments, etc. had been succeeded. The quality is very high. The hotel service of Moevenpick is Western atmosphere. It was usual hotel service. It confronts, Amanpuri had butler service and we were able to be spent very comfortably cause Amanpuri were valuing the hotel guest's individual correspondence. When it likes fine service that seems to be Thailand, Amanpuri might be more suitable. However, the service of Moevenpick was also comfortable in a necessary fineness. We stayed in Penthouse with jacuzzi. We were able to look at the beautiful sun set in the Andaman sea every day. I think the view from the balcony in the room to be the world top class. It was wonderful. And the hotel pool has the bar. We could enjoy drinks and snacks in the pool. Our children were pleased to have enhanced the kids menu. The hotel managed the beach club in the coast 2 minites walk from hotel. The hotel guest served the bath towel though it was the public beach, and it was very convenient. Althougth Buffet breakfast had gone, we enjoyed breakfast by the room service because the view from the hotel restaurant was not good, restaurant was in the building and was in very closing space. All staffs were kind. The attitude toward helping and taking care of the customer is also good. Finally, the room was wide, and cleanness and the amenity were wonderful.

The hotel staff forgot the reservation of our arrangements car on the final day. Therefore we are getting indignant very much, because we delayed the arrival at the airport 30 minutes. Wee confirmed time of dispatching cars three times while we staying. I wants hotel to arrange accurately because it is important time.

the hotel has just been rebranded to Moevenpick and you could not fault it's luxury. Our two bedroom suite with pool could not be bettered with the most fantastic bathroom and quality electronics. The staff were cheerful and helpful and the room service was excellent. The airport pickup was luxurious too and set the tone well of what to expect.

The hotel is The most northerly on the beach so quite a walk to the other hotels. Also it did not appear to be included in the free transfers between hotels on Bangtaou Beach and had no shuttle of it's own. Being low season we were practically the only people in the hotel so the kids got a little bored. With only one restaurant (compared to the surrounding hotels) you can soon get bored of the menu.

Even our high expectations were exceeded. Service as expected from a five star hotel, fantastic rooms ideal for a family, one daughter and us, close to the beach, free bycicles and friendly staff. Although maybe a bit far from the hussle and bussle, but ideal for us.

Rooms and Staff were pristine

The accommodation, location and service! They took the phrase " if it seems too good to be through , it probably is" to a whole new level, it is actually way above expectations!

Break fast . it is too much heard towards turist. However when asked to make it tailored thai is is done! But management wrote to me and is fixing this! Do not let this prevent you from going to the Moevenpick Bang Tao

Over priced, the second bedroom was very small, they complain about every thing, pictures are misleading , 2 star hotel at most , gym was almost none existence. Do not waste your money much better choice exists.

Our pool villa was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable

The fact that they charged 1800 Baht for the taxi service from the airport when the regular taxi we ordered for the trip to the airport cost only 700 Baht. Also breakfast was expensive, although very good. I think they would do better if they didnt take advantage of the fact the hotel was far from everywhere, and understand that this is a flaw not an advantage

The facilities are absolutely fabulous. Everything is perfect and well thought through in terms of design and comfort. Not a speck of dust anywhere.

They need a shuttle to Chern Thalay. Just a tuk tuk that runs back and forth like the hotels in Bangkok do. Wouldn't cost much but would make a world of difference. When you use the Laguna Shuttle you always feel like you are trespassing and they get resentful.

Location - it was adjacent to the beach but isolated

The hotel is very new so it lovely and clean. The hotel staff were friendly and very attentive at check in. Pool is lovely and relaxing, there were not so many people staying at the time we were there so sometimes it felt like we had the entire pool to ourselves/

We stayed at the Hotel for just over 3 weeks, and considering the very low occupancy I was expecting a welcome hello from the Management who we saw many times, but they seemed to more interested in asking the staff to collect the leaves from the ground. There should have been more of a welcome to our newly managed hotel from the Management.

It's good for families with children

The hotel was set at a private and quite location, which my family enjoyed very much. This is my first time to Thailand, and a fourth time for my son! Strangely, the hotel was quite vacant with guests when we checked in. I found out that the hotel was a reopening and upgraded from the "Palm Beach Club" (previous name). Me and my family stayed at a two-bedroom suite with a private pool! Our room had a view of the sea and the lotus restaurant. The room was very clean and the furniture was an infusion of modern and traditional Thai styles. I very much enjoyed my stay!

-+ Be cautious as some taxis will not know where the hotel is! Try saying "Movenpick Residences Laguna Beach" instead of Bang Tao Beach... Our taxi driver had to stop at a travel agency to get more directions!...
