Zen atmosphere in the hotel Lanna architecture (we loved it) Large and great rooms Very cosy pool Top quality service Very helpful staff, especially Juan at the frontdesk, great tips on how to discover the area bike location available Great food and bars just outside the hotel on the left
Breakfast is average They should make it an adult only hotel as kids can make lots of noise when in the pool so all the rooms are hit and it can be annoying when you want to take some rest, but it's nothing really
Quiet boutique hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Certain aspects of the room are a little aged (shower) but all worked. WiFi didn't work well in the room and in this day and age, it should have better coverage.
We paíd for a superior room and was really marvelous. Very nice, very cozy and with a real Thai taste! The breakfast was nice and the pool was simply great! I recommend this lovely place
The realy paradise with perfect location, corgeous rooms, intimate atmosphere, amazing personal
Location, easy to get to and from Old City, staff were very helpful, food, room, pool and service excellent, will definitely stay here again.
Location and it's traditional settings without over doing it
Location and staff!
Bathroom- draining problems in the bathroom (shower, tub, sink, and surrounding area)
The staff people are very kind. The room is very confortable and clean.
We loved everything there!
Service and Design. Very helpful Reception. Bikes for rent. Lobby.
Waitress at the Breakfast Service.
Helpful front desk staff, cosy room with large veranda
breakfast spread is very poor
Excellent ....! Start to finish!
It was a very relaxing, comfortable few days we spent at The Rim. The staff are just delightful. Nothing is too much trouble. And the pool provides a welcome respite after a hot day of temple visits. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was very beautiful and the staff were friendly. Great cocktails!
Breakfast was average. Staff English was very poor. The location wasn't amazing.
We stayed for 4 nights in February and by pure chance the flower festival was happening over that weekend. The festival made a usually quite part of the old city actually very lively. The location of the hotel is quite so if you want to relax its great. Taxi's and the shuttle can take you anywhere else. The staff were all wonderful, so generous and polite. They really enjoy their jobs and they do it so well, credit to Nian for his efforts every day. Rooms were large and clean. Decor was very nice, the beds were slightly harder than my preference but i slept like a baby regardless. The pool area is beautiful, very nice restaurant too. This hotel is a real gem and worth every cent.
Location wouldn't suit anyone looking for a lively time.
Hotel has quite a bit of character - and location, although some distance away from the action, is still pretty good.
The design. The friendly staff. Very helpful concierge.
Good service from staff.
Almost had negative attitude from service at the beginning about no proper tools in the toilet; however, the staff tried to solve the problem very well, so that the positive image of hotel was back.
Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is really nice, room is spacious and clean. Location is quite good, though they offer shuttle bus to night market but it's easy to walk.
The staff were very helpful!
The location was good. We were able to walk into old town and catch yuk-tuks or a cab easily from the hotel. The breakfast was good and and had a nice selection of fruit, cereal, eggs made to order and juices. We ate dinner there 2 nights. The food was excellent.
Frankly, after reading all the rave reviews of this place I wondered if I had the wrong hotel when we arrived and stayed a few days. The staff, which there was plenty of, wanted to be helpful but did not understand English very well. They had the basic conversational English but if you needed consulting on what to see or do they were not of much help. We did not have a hot shower during our entire stay. We did lodge a complaint at the front desk. I got a gruff question asking if I wanted it right now. I said by tomorrow morning would be just fine. That never happened. We did tell the staff again when we checked out letting them know that they should not check anyone into this room. It took the 3 of them listening one more time to our problem about the lack of hot water in our shower before I saw the "light bulb come on". I guess they finally got it. The room was nicely furnished but very noisy. There is residential housing right behind the hotel with a lot of young kids in the apartments. Over all we were not very happy with our stay.
We were specially positively surprised by the restaurant. Recommend everybody to have dinner there. And the breakfast very good too. Really good bread in Thailand! The staff very very friendly and in a natural way. Great hotel.
Nothing negative to say.
Great location and very helpful and friendly staff.
They hotels Burmese style.
Nothing it was all good
The hotel is small and boutique but has everything you need. the pool is smaller than other hotels but its fine for cooling off and a quick swim. There are not too many rooms in the hotel so there are never many people at the pool and there are always chairs and loungers available. the hotel itself is very quiet and the surroundings are quiet. the rooms are perfect, roomy, air conditioned, most have a balcony onto the pool. The rooms and toilets are done in an old style, I think it must be an old building which was renovated but they are beautiful. I can't fault the hotel or facilities. the staff are very friendly, very helpful and breakfast was lovely. We didn't get dinner in the hotel but there is a small bar (2 or 3 doors down the street called Mixology) which serves excellent and cheap meals. It is also just 3 km to the airport and you can always get a tuk-tuk outside the hotel. Overall, I'd love to come back and we had no problems in recommending this hotel.
This is not a big issue but the hotel is away from the main markets and night life. It does mean it is a lot quiter at night and it is only 2 dollars in a tuk-tuk to the night market so its not really a negative point. (if you do get a Tuk-tuk, get a red pick-up truck as they are cheaper than the smaller 3 wheeled versions). Can't find any faults with the hotel
The hotel is really nice, room are not so big but awesome
You need to walk 10 mionutes to reach the center of Chang Mai
