The Royal Shilton Resort  

Nice asian style relax Hotel. Piecefull. Breakfast is minumum but food :) Very helpfull staff. And on 10min walk there is at the mainstreat a very good thai restaurant. We missing that one :)

We stayed in the Grand Villa and it was absolutely gorgeous. Nicely furnished with lots of space. Three bathrooms and a huge master bedroom with second bedroom having two single beds. The breakfasts were excellent and had the swimming pool just outside our bungalow. Lush gardens. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had no complaints whatsoever about the Royal Shilton Resort and were sad to leave. It is just outside of Chiang Mai but only takes a few minutes in taxi or tuc- tuc to reach main city, so it is nice and peaceful, out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The only downside was the beds which were rock hard, but that is the only gripe and certainly not a complaint. If you want somewhere to stay for peace, quiet, good surroundings and excellent service then I can certainly recommend the Royal Shilton Resorts.

A very quiet place, so good for relaxing. Our stay in the villa was nice, lots of space! Breakfast was simple but good and tasty.

A bit expensive

the staff were really friendly, and when we arrived at 6am in the morning from our night coach to Chiang Mai, they allowed us to check in early and pay for only one night. They also helped us with taxis, and translated things into thai for us.

everything was fab!

If you are looking for more than just a hotel room and a bit of separation from the main stream of travelers, then I can recommend this hotel. We booked it looking for a villa with two rooms but what we got was beyond our imagination, this is like a rich Thai family moved out and let you have their beautiful house for your holiday. The villa we where in has the bedrooms (main one is massive) on the top floor and both have en-suites, all the furnishings are solid teak and in traditional Thai style. As it is a bit out of town (200baht) in a taxi it is very tranquil. It is a short stroll to many little street stalls, laundry and the usual Minimarts to stock up in the essentials.

The hotel itself, grounds, reception etc are all in need of a complete makeover, it has two pools which again aren't great and breakfast is non existent but if you can see past all that it is lovely.

就是离古城稍微远点点，不过挺安静。

房间装饰古典,非常舒适干净,性价比高,自助早餐味道和量都不错,员工服务很好,离清迈大学和野生动物园比较近,摩托开过去方便

位置有点偏,不太好找,交通不太方便,员工的英语沟通能力弱些

环境优雅，我们住的两居室的别墅，装修风格很泰，很美，早上被鸟儿叫醒。服务员态度非常好，可惜不会英语，- 说什么都听不懂，不过人真的很好，自己开车带我们去吃饭

地理位置，半天打不到车的，服务人员英语不行。

Hotel très sympathique. Belle déco sobre, à l'ancienne. Personnel très aidant. Propre. Un peu loin du centre mais au moins au calme. A 5 min se trouvent des 7 eleven... Petit resto sympa et dans la rue parralèlle : Dee Day. Petit déjeuner succint mais il y a ce qu'il faut.

El hotel nos ha gustado mucho. Arquitectura tradicional, vegetación y pequeña piscina para darse un chapuzón tras un largo día de visitas. Staff muy agradable, desayuno correcto aunque poco variado. La habitación muy limpia y bien decorada. La ubicación no es buena pues está lejos del centro pero nos encantó porque estabamos en un barrio Thai, sin turistas, con muchos sitios para comer barato y bien. Al centro puedes ir en Bici (gratis en el hotel) en unos 15 min o alquilar una moto. Hay un restaurante thai muy agradable que se llama Dé Day en la calle paralela al hotel por arriba con una terraza muy agradable y buena cocina y sin turistas!

房间不错，与照片相同。服务也很好，尤其是提供的早餐，虽然品种少，全能确保吃饱，因为在泰国普通的一顿饭- 量是比较少的。 环境不错，周围绿树成荫，并且有游泳池。 另外酒店提供免费接送服务，这点非常不错，要知道泰国机场很少有巴士，出租又是被垄断。像这家酒店，机场要- 180B才到。

酒店周围缺少摩托车出租，并且位置较偏（对于去古城来说）。

Het resort ligt iets buiten het centrum in een soort studentenwijk. Dit vonden wij wel apart. In de buurt kon je heerlijk eten bij de locals (veel studenten) Wij waren in het resort bijna de enige gasten. Dus lekker het zwembad voor ons alleen.(juli 2012) De kamers zijn prima en lekker rustig. We namen een taxi naar het centrum wat goed te doen is. Het personeel is vriendelijk maar spreekt slecht engels. Het ontbijt is sober maar voldoende. Je kan kiezen tussen een thais ontbijt of amerikaans. Qua prijs kwaliteit is het niet slecht. We hebben het naar ons zin gehad.

Het resort is een beetje vergane glorie. Je kan er geen drankjes of iets te eten bestellen.

It was a good location for where we wanted to be. It was quiet, on the edge of Chiang Mai. A Pleasant Thai hotel. Staff were friendly, although some difficulties with the language barrier. Breakfast was adequate and varied although often we were the only people having breakfast so choice was limited. The swimming pool was fine.

It was a bit away from the normal tourist areas so a bit more expensive for transport unless you used the local "public" transport.

The thing I first like is the swimming pool and bathtub. When you stay there you will feel at home because it is cozy,quiet, surrounded by beautyfull garden. For sure if I go to Chang mai again I will sleep this hotel.

Difficult to go there if you don't have a car.
