The Village Coconut Island Beach Resort    

Mooi eiland om een paar dagen uit te rusten. Alles aanwezig om te relaxen. Personeel spreekt slecht engels.

Avondeten matig. Lasagne was koud...na opwarmen nog steeds koud.

Personeel was uitzonderlijk vriendelijk.

Shuttle bus was niet zo frequent en je zat afgelegen van het strand, dat was wel jammer

- Access to the beach - Beach view from the room - Friendly staff - Taxi boats available all the time - Ideal place for relaxation for few days

- Limited activities on the island specially at night time - AC in the room was not cool enough (maybe issue in my room only) - Car Taxi fares are too high for short trips to Phuket town

Water kept cutting off

The location was good and relaxing. The villas were well designed and well located and clean.

The resort could not be categorised as a 5 star hotel. The staff are polite but with poor English language knowledge. the front desk and reception are not helpful and did not provide a good service in a scale of 5 star resort. some simple requests have been ignored and not done. Before leaving I sent airport transfer request but upon arrival nobody waited for us and we took the taxi. it seems that from my mail they did not get the point!

Interesting location. Taking boat every time you go to the town was enjoyable at first, but became nuisance later.

Water supply completely stopped a whole day. Occasional blackout occurred as well. A drawback of being situated in a small island. How the staff coped with problem was good.

Breakfast, wifi

The electricity came going down during the day an night. So that means no ac and in nights is became unverable also o water for ours. The geting ther awful no respect or preocupation for us at all

I like private pool infront of each villa the most

Inside the villas , there are no services such as , good shampoo, body lotion , swing kit and the accesories you can find in a hotels room

Water was not available whenever we wanted. We had booked for two nights. We checked out in one night. The balance they told they will refund.

The location was great. The ambience was exhilarating

The food was terrible

On arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to a villa with sea view and pool. Following a problem with the electrical supply we were upgraded again to a four bedroom beach front villa with private pool for the inconvenience. The staff were excellent and most courteous, nothing was too much trouble. Food and drink was more expensive than locally but when you consider that everything has to be shipped in and the location it is very reasonable.

The Thai staff of hotel was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. The surroundings were gorgeous.

Suite was not very clean, and completely overpriced. This resort does not deserves the 5 stars. Management had to many excuses and not completely honest.

The private pool was amazing; it's a real pleasure on hot days. The bathroom was beautiful and the bathtub a real treat. Free Hobbiecat and kayaks. Breakfast also was beautiful. And the breakfast staff were very helpful.

It's kind of isolated, which can be seen as either nice or not, so it's maybe unfair to write it as a downside; nevertheless, taxis to Patong ended up representing a lot of money. Prices at the supermarket or Room service were outrageous. Quite some staff didn't speak english.

Paradise it really is, beachside villa with own pool was fantastic a special mention for Dan the English Manager of the resort, very helpful and pleasant guy. It's a must visit island when on Phuket

Nothing to dislike

the view from the room was amazing showing the beach as well as the jungle.also the private pool was very relaxing. Breakfast had lots of variety and the resort staff helped us arrange all the activities in Phuket.

- the pool was not completely private as you could see the residents next door . - the passage from the restaurant to the reception is quite steep and requires an effort especially for old people.

That it's on an island away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket. FOOD: As there is no-where else to eat on the island the restaurant has to be good. It is, although if you stay more than 7 days you will have to start eating the same dishes over and over again. The thai food is excellent and the western food is also very good. ACTIVITIES: There are 2 water slides which are a lot of fun with kids. MY son wanted to go up and down all day. There are also kayaks, small sailing boats (lasers and catamarans) that you can use for free.

It doesn't deserve 5 stars. STAFF: The hotel staff are friendly but don't go out of their way to help you and don't seem to learn from your requests . You need to ask for everything several times e.g. re-stock the towels, coffee supplies in the room everyday the same. RESTAURANTS: breakfast is the same everyday. No variation. Ok for short stays but a little boring for 7 days or longer. The food is very good though. The service staff often messed up orders and brought out food we didn't order and the cocktails are not strong at all. usually had to send them back several times before you could notice the alcohol. AMENITIES: We had a jacuzzi suite. Contrary to what is advertised on their website the jacuzzi is in plain view of all the other suites. And as topless bathing is not allowed at the main pool it would be nice if the jacuzzi suites had privacy in the garden and by the pool. Tiles were missing from the jacuzzi. BED: was very uncomfortable and you can feel the springs when you sit on it. Didn't really get a good nights sleep. SHOWER: not much water pressure and shower supplies and soap were not replenished once in 8 days. LOCATION: it's a beautiful island and 10 minutes by boat from the pier on Phuket. There are boats every 30 minutes. The longest we had to wait was 35 minutes one evening when a chinese group was loading the boat. Here the staff could be more attentive when you arrive with a baby stroller and offer to help you down the stairs and on the boat instead of having to ask every time. There's a very good seafood restaurant right next to the pier and a fraction of the price of in the hotel and a huge menu. BEACH: sand is fairly clean and nice however the water was murky and not very appealing to swim in. I didn't see anyone swimming the whole week in the water which was very disappointing since we were told by our agent that the beach is very nice for swimming. When low tide is there the water is also much further out.

The resort was beautiful and my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. The views were breath taking and sometimes extra ordinary. The staff was friendly. The resort was very comfortable and you felt as if you were home.

The staff who served you in the restaurants did not have a good understanding of the English language. How can you have someone take your order and not speak a word of English? I guess good workers are hard to find! The waiters knew nothing about the art of serving.

i like the place and the villa design

there are lot of insects and aunts in the villas and i hope it should be reduced .. the ACs were so hot during my stay and some of the services were not perfect

Private pool villa is actually private but u dont have the full privacy , people passing by on the beach can see you in your pool having a swim , but otherwise excellent place to spend 2 days after 4 crazy nights in Patong :)

The 3+ bedroom villas were spacious!

Lack of hot water, the water line for the two bedroom villas broke; therefore, no water for two days! Lack of communication from mgmt. No compensation either.

The manager vvvv rude not helping at all...n not polite,the boat vvvv poor for safety n vvvvv bad boat..even my son doesn't want to seat down vvvv dirty.n when checking out no one helping us to bring the bag,so we must carry the bags to taxi.vvvv bad service.

This is definately the place to go for a relaxing break where you can enjoy all the island has to offer, free from lager louts and loud music. The pool villas are outstanding and are equipped with all your needs. there is an Italian themed retaurante and a genral one offering a wide selection of thai dishes with a beach bar next to it. If you want lively night life it is only a short boat ride to phuket and a short taxi ride to Patong Beach Staff were very nice and helpful

I loved the way you're separated from the rest of the world by being in an island, and the boats that are available to take you back to the "main island" phuket.
