Easy access but off the beaten track. Very friendly staff with a good breakfast, internet access when needed.

It took some time for the room to cool down because of the automatic switch off of the a/c when you took the key out. There were some small ants in the room.

staff there are very friendly and always get ready to help customers. they also help assist with travelling tour and always offer you the best budget one while covering all activities you want. very clean room with all facilities

meals for breakfast can improve no bicycle rent service although there is one closed to hotel

The breakfast is great!!! Really delicious and have three choices that you can pick. Also the location is good. Staffs at there are friendly and always try their best to help you. In a word, it is a wonderful experience to live at there.

The air-conditioner sometimes doesn't work well but generally, it is a great place to live.

It is a new hotel but the grouting in the bathroom was very mouldy looking . No tea and coffee in rooms but plenty down in public area. Internet was very intermittent.

Even if moving within the walled city can be a little bit difficult, TJR is very well located, close to important wats to visit, pubs and restaurants, and some shops. Rooms are spacious, clean and luminous. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is acceptable.

Be prepared to wake up with rooster sings.

Taxi drivers don't try to talk to foreigners Chiang Mai residents don't come across as very welcoming, they don't want to talk to visitors/travellers Too many backpackers / foreign visitors Taxi fares can be expensive for foreigners (by Thai standards) as the drivers generally won't haggle over the fare.

Great location, right down the closest soi to Taipei Gate--Sunday Night Walking market was at our doorstep. Room was a bit outdated; the tub had cracks and could have used a good scrubbing, but overall the room felt clean and well looked after. The apartment we booked was huge, complete with a large space with a fridge/cooktop and a separate bedroom. Nice breakfast with porridge and omelet options. Great value.

The rooster and dog noise took some getting used to, but was okay in the end. The bed was hard, but that is the Thai style. The room was not well insulated in that you could hear traffic, talking, animals, etc. Not a big deal during the day, but was difficult for a lighter sleeper.

I was in Chiang Mai for 5 days and stayed in 3 different places(busy time, Chinese new year). Tjr was easily my favourite of the 3. Fantastic location, very helpful and friendly staff and the room was the best value in terms of comfort/cleanliness for any accommodation I stayed in whilst in Thailand. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, wifi, and the breakfast was really nice too(offering many choices from cereal to scrambled egg, continental etc). 2Mins walk from the sunday markets, its away from the main road so nice and quiet too, dont let the walk down the lane scare you off as all the locals are so friendly (just like everyone from Thailand), I actually preferred that it was away from the main roads (to avoid traffic at night or party people). I honestly cant recommend this place enough to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Staff were the most polite and friendly we ever met. Good location, close to all amenities. No interruption to sleeps.like my coffee so would like fresh coffee in the am. Overall, excellent service, staff and value for money!

staff was really nice, providing us with good tips for day trips and massages. The hotel in in a lateral street in the city centre and very convenient for going for a walk and visiting. Rooms are quite big and clean.

The price is not worth compare with others in the same area.

This location is great for exploring the old part of Chiang Mai, and is literally steps away from the Sunday Walking St market. The facilities are modern and spacious, and the staff friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

One Of the best hotels that I have stayed in thailand. The staff Was very friendly and ready to help you at any time. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast, though it was always the same, Was good.The location is really good too. If I come back to chiang mai I would stay at the same hotel without a doubt.
