pool is lovely, being able to swin until 10pm is great also. staff are great, the whole property is very chilled out - just like the owner. rooms are big, clean and bed is really comfy. overall great value for what you are getting!

some sun loungers would be nice around the pool. cost of bicycle rental etc from guesthouse was way above what you would pay elsewhere. shop around!

Lovely location with some brilliant, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Helped us to organise tours and trips. Good WiFi access in all rooms

It is a little out of the center of Chiang Mai, but it is still only a 10-15 minute walk to the center. Was a little difficult to find the first time.

Enjoyed being in Chiang Mai but also having a pool. Great to be able to watch an English language movie after 4 months of travelling.

Nice, quiet location. Owner was very nice. Easy to facilitate tours around Chiang Mai.

The bed was the hardest and least comfortable of any bed that I slept on in Thailand.

the service was great(with a Japanese owner you'd expect nothing less) and the quality of everything high for the price especially(I got a free upgrade too). The swimming pool was lovely as well as the garden and the cute little turtle in the water way by reception was unusual. Note that u need a 1000 BHT deposit for the electronic key. I was there for 1 day and would have happily stayed longer, as the comfort and cleanliness was of high standard. in a way, they are a little strange in concept, offering less facilities (and no free ones) while having high end features at the same time. Still a very pleasant stay.

No eating facilities (although they are opening a bakery by the end of this month) and tea or coffee has to be paid for, and the bike at 100BHT a day is a bit expensive. No free water in the room.

Beatiful garden, large room, friendly personal.

Poorly furnished rooms, no drink water, no toiletries. Only one big towel. Even one tiny soap.

Nice layout and modern with a nice pool and gardens. It's about a 20 minute walk to Old Town and 10 to the Bazaar Market. Owners Junya and Por are friendly and helped me recover my passport after I left it there by accident. They got it up to Chiang Khong the same day as was crossing over into Laos the following day. Couldn't thank them enough! Also rented a scooter which was new and we'll maintained. Highly recommend.

When arriving at TR you very quickly realise it is a loved place. The owners care for it with such attention to detail that there is nothing that they wouldn't try to do for you. They welcomed us with open arms and made sure we were comfortable. We chose it because it had a pool and it delivered! The pool was welcome extra in the middle of hot day, so stunning. The pictures do not give the place credit, for once the pictures were not nearlyas good as the actual place. I would recommend staying here to anyone. Everyone has different tastes but I couldn't imagine anyone not being happy here. Clean, tranquil and beautifully designed.

We loved everything but if you are that kind of traveller that wants to walk out of your room onto a busy tourist street, this is not for you. We had bicycles or took a Tuk Tuk to where we needed to go, 5 minutes from all the attractions and action. Always remember to take your map, it's new so some Tuk tuks don't know where it is.

Excellent value for money! Great pool, lovely clean comfortable spacious room. The staff were brilliant very helpful and welcoming. Walking distance from night market.

The hotel isn't very well known at the moment so taxis and tuk tuks struggled to find it. No option for breakfast.

Good sized rooms, clean, bug zapper included!, pool was good and always quiet. Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay! Loved the little turtles in the water feature around reception.

    Not a lot!

It was nice to stay here. The owners where real helpful and friendly. Wifi was good en the location was nice, close to the city center. I could rent a scooter at the hotel for a good price and pay at check out. The rooms where real clean and good.

The pool and surrounds are beautiful, better than the pics on the website which were taken before it was tiled and the plants grew. Staff are very nice, and the place is very quiet and secure, with a good little safe bolted to the wall. Aircon in my room was excellent.

Nothing to dislike, but would be nice if the rooms had a small bar fridge, a reading light, and a fan. If I had a fan I would have used the aicon a lot less.

Everything was perfect for us. It's very close to the center and since it was really hot, we rented a motorbike in the hotel, what made everything easier. The owner is very helpful when asked. Our room was very clean and spacious. Even though it's not inside the old city, we still prefer it that way, since is close enough and some attractions are so far, you will need transportation anyway. The swimming pool was also great. The price was perfect too. We liked it very very much and I really wish we can go back there one day.

The hotel doesn't offer breakfast option, what would have been good.

Swimming pool was salty and refreshing. New towels and cleaning in the room everyday.

We had read that breakfast would be served by the price of 4 euros but it wasn't. There was also quite a lot of mosquitoes in the rooms.

The TR residence was lovely. Nice garden area and clean, large, rooms. Loved the shower - good pressure and hot water. The hotel is run by a nice couple and they offer assistance upon request. . This is one of the few hotels in Chang Mai that is actually peaceful and quiet at night - the hotel is set back from the street and you do not hear any noise from traffic or music. Good sleeping environment.

The hotel is much more than a ten minute walk - more like a 25 to 30 minute walk to the night market area. If you want coffee before 9:00am, you are going to have to hoof it into town - they need coffee set ups in the rooms.

Friendly family run hotel where we were very well looked after by both the owners and the staff. The hotel room had A/C, Safety Box and TV and outside there is a quiet, relaxing swimming pool. Tours and taxis from the hotel could be arranged and moped and bicycle hire was available. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided every day and the bed linen changed at least twice a week. The bed was comfortable and overall the value for money was excellent. The hotel is situated within walking distance of everything you require, ie. restaurants, bars, markets and city centre and is set back off the main road in a quiet side road away from the traffic. Loved every day we were there !!

Moaning tourist guests. If you want 5*** luxury, go pay and stay in a 5*** hotel !!!!!!

Wonderful place, great advices from the host.

Be careful with tuk-tuk asking a lot just to go to the town centre. You can easily walk because it is not so far away.

The whole place, very pretty and quiet! Beautiful swimming pool (a bit cold though). The receptionist was very nice.

A bit far from the nightlife, restaurants etc so we had to walk 10 mins (not nice, very polluted), or pay a tuk tuk (80 THB each way from market or Tapei Gate).
