I am a customer since long time. The hotel is nice and the area is one of the best in Bangkok. Not to much frills but value for what you pay

Rooms might have been cleaned more thoroughly (if you want to find dust in the room I bet you will) Otherwise we liked everything during our stay, will recommend this hotel to our friends.
Have stayed here twice, when came for the second time were greeted almost like family, the employees are doing their best to make the guest feel home.

I stayed at Triple8 twice. The first time I was in a room on the top floor and it was good. The second time I got a room on the second floor and it was terrible. Dark, with no light all day because of a very close wall/fence 30cm away from the room window, and very noisy old A/C.
Good location, nice staff

1. Rooms didn't impress. 1.1. There are almost no amenities; what you get by default is shampoo and liquid soap in dispensers at the shower - and shower caps. No hand soap, no toothbrushes, nothing for shaving. You might or might not have tissues in the room. As mentioned above, you can get most of that by calling the reception - but initially nothing even tells of that. 1.2. The furniture is, well, dated. Nothing broken though. 1.3. A quick check up through the wardrobe revealed a forgotten pair of underpants. Apparently, the housekeeper didn't do such check up before us. (Once we told about that, we were upgraded for one night to a larger room and given complimentary breakfast tickets for inconvenience of moving back and forth. But still, you know...) 2. Ask for a room on the 4th floor or higher _and_ not facing the Silom Road! The windows are thin and all the street commotion until 3am and from 6am is with you even if your street-facing room is on the 6th floor. 4. There are stains on the bed sheets - linen laundry seems to be a common problem across at least several hotels around Silom. Point attention to that, and the hotel changes linen to something cleaner.
1. Easy to find, and it's some hundreds of metres from Patpong. But it's definitely NOT a 3-minute walk from BTS Chong Nonsi - close to 10 minutes, rather. 2. The personnel really tried their best if you ask of things, even though they are limited by the low budget of the hotel. Ask for things, and they will at least try to fulfil (toothbrushes, bottle opener, hand soap - yes; iron - no). Ask to change bed sheets (which are with stains by default) and it will be done as soon as possible. 3. If you get a room in the back of the building it's relatively quiet. Given that the hotel is situated right on the Silom Road - that's a plus.

Excellent location, walking distance to Papong market and train station for quick access to rest of the city. Adequate breakfast, efficient staff. Value for money for short stay.

The room was huge, very nice, even had a sofa with a table inside. Bathroom also huge and very clean. Everything was very clean, amazing breakfast and food in general, very cheap! People were really friendly and helpful, they booked us a taxi for 3 am, which in Bangkok was very helpful! I would say this is an excellent option! Great location! Definitely recommend it!

there's karaoke in the hall, and a bit noisy at night. window faces a wall which makes the room not very comfortable.
the location is quite good and the price is nice. It's good as a budget hotel anyway.

We had a little billing confusion, as we kept on extending and the desk wasn't diligent about issuing receipts, but it was resolved in the end.
This boutique hotel was an oasis in Bangkok. The staff was attentive, the room very comfortable, the coffee the best we had in Bangkok (including Starbucks). The optional morning breakfast was a good deal, too.

1) I would recommend paying in cash. I paid with a credit card at the hotel, and within four days I got an e-mail from my credit card company saying an enormous charge was attempted. It's hard to pinpoint where fraud occurs, but this was the first time I had used this credit card in six months! So either it was this hotel, or another small hotel I checked into in Samui a couple days later. Again, no proof, but you connect the dots. This is a small budget hotel - I say pay in cash and you'll sleep better. 2) If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room in the back of the hotel! I have heard some people complain that there is no view and only a big wall in the back of the hotel - but at least it's quiet and you can sleep! The front side of the hotel faces Silom Road - which is noisy all day and night!
1) Location. Smack dab in the center of things! Near major bts Skytrain station "Sala Daeng" and mrt subway station "Silom." Nightlife, restaurants, and the Silom Market are just a few mins walk away. 2) The rooms are large and clean. And the bathroom is very large too which is nice. 3) Wi-Fi works well (but sometimes slow for Skype during peak usage at night). All in all this is a decent budget hotel for a few nights in BKK.
