The staff were friendly and the room itself was nice and quite large.
The outdoor toilets were a big turn off. I was aware of them being outdoors beforehand but have seen a similar set-up at other hotels which was much better. Also, the door to the bathroom was sticky to open and at times the doorknob did not work making it a big struggle to open. When I informed the staff they simply "yes we know" with no intention to have it fixed, yet there was a lot of construction going on to build new facilities. The location is also not good for families as the beach is far and not much near by, so best to have a motorbike to get around.
The bungalow was nice, outdoor shower good and staff friendly. 5 minute walk to beach and 30 minute walk to Fishermans village.
Reception closes at 10pm, on booking.com it says 11pm but we were still able to check in.
I like ambience of the hotel and its desing! The bathroom is amazing! it was a big surprise for us) so check hotel's photos careffuly)) The stuff is very friendly! and there is a big breakfast menu. Yje accomodation is good and comfortable. In general i would recomended this hotel and Maenam beach for families and for those who is looking for rest and relax. Its quite difficuld (almost impossible) to find any night life there.
You have to spend around 10 min to get to the sea. I would say that beach is quite "wild" - no fasilities there. The wi-fi works quite bad - you should fint the right place where ir works. in our case it was a big stone next to the bungalo :)
good location nr beach nice pool bike hire nice acommadation
nice size bungalow,
-bathroom was a bit dirty/moldy
cook very helpful for us vegans, pool and bar nice
so many mistakes. every item i asked of them. friends and i booked same room, they recd upgrade, we did not. very rude to my complaints
cheap, nice house
a bit far away from the beach, terrible wifi connection. and,,,the mosquito..
The bungalows are very picturesque and it was nice to feel like we were part of the surroundings. Also considering how cheap the room was I was impressed that there was a fridge and TV in the room and that there was a pool despite being a short walk to the beach.
There were quite a few ants in the room due to the wooden bungalows!
Location, friendly staff.
Not too keen on outside loo, but thats just me.
There was no water in the shower at most times - the bathroom was open to the sky, and there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. When we checked in, we were told that the hotel charged an additional fee if we wanted to pay via credit-card - no such thing had been indicated when we made the booking. All in all, wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.
The room was ok - very cute, but the outdoor toilet and shower... not me. Back packer hotel - and the price was very low.
Outdoor toilet and shower - not nice - dirty with leaves and animals. Breakfast poor - just 2 pieces of bread with marmelade, egg, coffee and juice. Had to buy more - several other breakfast - and that is what they hope that you are going to bue - I think.
Breakfast on one of the days, and the smoothies every day.
The torn bed linen, the spiders, the fact the pictures are not current or THE CLUB 'upgrade' wasn't an upgrade other than a garden bathroom, with gravel instead of tiles. The free breakfast is continental ONLY. Totally nightmare, tried to escape before the first night but the manager refused to help. Would not recommend to anybody other than students.
