I did not enjoy my stay here. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds i have ever sleep in, in my whole life so bad that i could not sleep due to the discomfort and left with back pain. The only good thing about this hotel was the location and the breakfast. Would reconmend looking else where!!

The location is good. Almost on Ko San road, which means easy access to backpacker restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, it also means you're in for a noisy time (especially if you have a room facing the street). Staff were very friendly and helpful. We cut our stay short by 6 nights because the room absolutely stank of mould and damp. We were shown the superior rooms (which were offered at a discount of 1,900 THB/night), but these also smelt of damp (although not as much). They also have a big sign on the window saying you shouldn't open it, and a lot of the smell came from the air con, I believe. Not a good situation. Instead, we found a nice hotel, 15 min walk away with lovely rooms and included breakfast for 1,300 THB/night. Essentially, with this hotel, you're paying for the location and absolutely nothing else. If you don't want music playing outside till 5 am, well, seriously find another place to stay (away from Ko San road) or make absolutely sure you get a room at the back)

The willingness of the management to fit us in after we had made a mistake in our booking. Its situation amid the disaster of the Khao San Road district. Nevertheless, once inside, it becomes a haven from all but the cacophany.

The staff were very accommodating. The hotel is right in the heart of the Koasan Road market/restaurant/bar strip, but a quiet oasis amid the bustle outside. They are remodeling some rooms, ours was an older room in perfectly good order. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet too. And did I mention the staff was gracious and accomodating.? p.s. The pool on the third floor was fun for the kids and the sepate adult pool was relaxing for us adults.

Great location if you want to be at the heart of the tourist gathering spot and bargain shopping. Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Great location - near Khao San Road. Friendly staff and massage and tailors nearby. Noisy on the street from late night bars and restaurants. Request a room at the back and it is pretty quiet.

Location: one block away from popular Khao San Road. Great restaurants, street food vendors and Thai massage rooms right outside the door! Children also enjoyed cold and refreshing pool. Quite noisy late night if your room is on the street side. Breakfast buffet could offer wider variety of food.

Excellent location for touring and shopping. Excellent buffet breakfast. Extremely noisy at night in front rooms - get a rear room if you can. Wi-fi is provided for only 30 minutes at a time and you must go to the desk and request a special code to sign-in, then repeat the process if you need more time. This is very unwieldy and inconvenient. I lost my connection while I was trying to checkin for my flight because the time ran out.

Excellent staff, always smiling and helpful. The hotel is showing its age and could do with a good painting and modernisation. It is a little tired around the edges !!!! It has gone down hill since our last visit.

Great hotel with large rooms in a great location. Unfortunately the staff did not give us the requested wake up call that was booked in the night before and our room was not cleaned once during our 2 night stay. Everything else was great - I wonder why they seemed to forget about us? was it because they are too occupied with tour groups????Hotel is good however - just dont rely on staff to wake you or to have your room cleaned.

Great location for those wishing to be near the Bait Chabad, which serves as a synagogue and kosher restaurant. Walking distance to the palace. Nice lobby The pictures of the hotel rooms look much nicer than they really are. The rooms are on the old side. Noise from neighboring bars could be a nuisance as parties could continue to 1:00 am.

Viengtai hotel offers basic but fine rooms at a top location if you like to enjoy Khao San Road. At the doorstep of the hotel all the activities and fun can be found: restaurants, shops, massage and lots of travellers. Still Viengtai hotel has decent rooms (bed is good) and a swimming pool. If you want to get some sleep, it is recommended to request a room at the back side of the hotel. Rooms seem to differ somewhat; in the first room we had (facing the street), the ceiling was very low in the bathroom and the airco was standing iso hanging. Design (if any) is outdated. The fun should be found outside of the hotel.

We booked a triple room and asked if we could have peace and quiet. The room was on the other side of the main road overlooking the pool. We slept very well and were not woken at all by noise! The breakfast was very good with a huge range of choice. There wasn't anything we didn't like but it would help the hotel if they painted the rooms again as the paintwork was a little tired.

Location and affordable price. I have stayed there on at least 2 other occasions! When I arrived the first room I was given had a really damp, musty smell! I was promptly moved to another room! This room was much better. Any chance of you having single rooms as a solo traveller has to pay full price???

The location of the hotel was fantastic and having a travel agent linked to the hotel was helpful too. The buffet breakfast was lovely and it was nice to not worry about what to get for breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable although the view was an eyesore. It was great to be on a non-smoking floor and we were fairly high up so didn't hear alot of street noise. The hotel could use a little money put in to fix it up a little as some parts were a little run down. It would be more helpful if the hotel staff automatically provided a map and some tourist information on arrival. It would also be helpful if they automatically showed you the location of the hotel on the map and any surrounding attractions as none of the staff were particularly helpful in this department.

The location was fantastic, especially if you are keen to be a part of the Kao San Road excitement. Despite being so close though, it was very quiet. We were so pleasantly surprised by how nice the place was, and excellent value for money. Would definitely highly recommend!!

“I was travelling with a mate and we booked a 2 bedroom suite on the 28th floor. Room was in perfect condition, very clean and with a nice view of the city. The staff was very helpfull in every regard. The best thing of all though was their evening buffet (served in weekends). I have never had a better buffet anywhere.
