We stayed there for 2 nights. The staff was lovely. The location was good. Free instant coffee in the morning for those who like it. Wifi was working ok. The hotel was cheap.
The room was v dated and small. The bathroom was a walk in shower room with no separation between shower area and the toilet (not even a shower curtain). No space in the bathroom for toiletries. The aircon in the room was broken which made sleeping impossible. The windows weren't shutting properly (in the bathroom there was no way to shut the window). The balcony was tiny with no view. Fridge wasn't working properly so no point using it. 4am bells - yes - all true - it will wake you up - part of the culture.
The staff were absolutely lovely. Could not fault them in the slightest. there was 8 of us at they did anything they could for us. We had a lizard in the room and they moved us straight away. Free bottles of water topped up every day.
We stayed there for 3 nights and the room didn't get cleaned once!! We didn't get fresh towels at all. They also could provide a place to buy drinks or snacks from as crossing the main roads to the shops were quite dangerous!
Decent room and wifi.Nice and helpful staff，when you rent a motobike , they remind you which scratches are already there .
stay 2 days there, but lack of towels change and rubbish clean service. While in other hotel ,they will do it without ask.
wifi connection was good
bathroom facility as there was no drainage and there was a hole in the ground. Bugs every night location is far from the main city difficult to find lack of knowledge from staff about areas very old room as well
Lar the manager is very nice and helpful. Location is very good, quiet area with a local market 5 minutes away. The room we had was clean and the wifi was good.
Some rooms aren't very good. Bad smell from the bathroom, dark water coming out the tap. We had to change rooms 3 times before having a good and clean one. Wifi is not working everywhere. Except Lar, the staff is useless but still nice.
Very nice and helpful people, good location, very good price
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location, very close to all the temples and food markets. Free tea and coffee until lunchtime!
The only negative was that their system wouldn't accept my credit card for some reason and I had to pay cash. There was a little noise from the temple early in the morning.
The staff was friendly and kind. Free coffe and tea is available until midnight.
Nothing in particular
Great location, pleasant open-air lobby w/free coffee, comfortable room & very pleasant & helpful staff, all at a very reasonable price.
Friendly staff Reasonable price
Thin walls - noise from other rooms Dirty stair/landing carpets
The room was big and the lady at the reception was such a delight, she was so friendly and funny.
Very noisy hotel. Can hear doors slamming and the hallways echo. Our room had some water system outside that made constant noise. Had to wear earplugs to get any sleep. The bathroom drain was small and never drained completely so there was a constant pool of water in the bathroom.
La the manager was very attentive and always available. As a solo female traveler I knew I can count on her at any moment if needed.
Being close to all temples is quieter but it's only minutes walking distance to all the hustle and bustle.
very excellent frendley staff and cannot find more convenient for so cheap
This place is good for a night or two. It is in old city and very close to the night life and interesting sights of Chiang Mai. Our room was decent size and the staff was very friendly and helped us find the cheapest ways to get around.
The hotel wasn't very clean. The stairs didn't look like they had been vacuumed recently and it was pretty loud-although I didn't stay in a play in Chiang Mai that wasn't loud.
Personel is very nice, especialy Tony who is kind of consierge (dealing with bike rents, and trips). No problem to change a room to renovated one.
Not all rooms are equally clean, sheets were a bit worn.
The staff are extremely kind, helpful and cheerful! Moped in perfect condition to rent Good location to travel around from
No shower curtain or mat so bathroom was very wet and slippery afterwards Damp on the ceiling was a bit off putting
Staff were helpful
Didnt seem most secure although we didnt have any problems. Building didn't even have a front door or windows. Towels and pillows could do with replacing
Non Ethics. !!! We booked two nights at hotel with credit card guarantee. At first night I was busy at Chiangrai, can't checked in. Next day I finished my work late and drove to Chiangmai about 3 hours in night time. When I was at hotel they left our room to someone else without no call to us. They are greedy to get double money for my room. And let us to find room by ourselves at 10 PM.
I can't say much, what I liked there.
Don't take room 217, it's right in the back, it's very noisy from water tank, which makes constantly noise. The fridge in the room too. Bathroom is not clean, very basic with 1000 flies, it was not nice experience. It's 1* hostel. They don't have any food facilities, lucky just by the corner is Mountain View guesthouse, they do very nice breakfast or lunch with very nice staff. If we knew about this place, we rather stayed there.Western Hotel "hostel" is also far from night market, about 30min walk. Staff was ok there and they always great us nicely.
Exceptionally clean room, including the en suite, very comfortable stay. The manager was tremendously helpful with all matters. Great location just inside the north gate.
Location Cleanliness Good staff
I would say lack of facilities, but it was perfectly good for what you pay
The room was clean, had a great aircon and a spacious shower. Staff were very friendly. I only needed somewhere to stay for a night and this place was very cheap but great value. Free coffee and free wifi great!
We were leaving early and could not get any breakfast. Although we were informed of this prior to checking in it was a bit of a hassle to hind a shop open in early hours of the morning. There is a 7 Eleven not to far away.
