Poor choice of breakfast.
Nice atmosphere, giving an feeling of being far away from the city's noise and business. At the same located in the heart of the night market. Lovely architecture and beautiful garden.

Inadequate hot water for a shower.
Quiet location, exceptionally personable staff, beautiful landscaping. Very pleasant cafe and WIFI area.

Nothing- all good
Staff always smiling

Nothings. Maybe the pool goes shady too soon. It is 30 minutes walking from town center.
We mostly loved the building itself with its ancient studied architecture and wonderful rooms. Delicious breakfast! Very nice pool

Construction works right next to the hotel (February 2015)
Beautiful resort in downtown of Chiang Mai, very close to Night Market; extremely friendly staff

Meal choice very limited for pool and breakfast

Friendly staff great location lovely hotel in beautiful Chiangmai. We are returning here at the end of the year
February 26, 2015
I don't know where to start. Maybe with the amateurish, rude and ignorant service? With the lousy value for the money? One of the worst value hotels I ever stayed in (and I stayed in about 400, primarily in Asia).
I did not like anything, really: it was a waste of time and money to go to Chiang Mai and stay in this mosquito-infested backwater of a "boutique" hotel.

Almost everything. A lovely place to return to.

Rude staff, noisy construction outside room

Wifi wasn't so great.
Great position, lovely hotel, helpful staff.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are pretty, the landscaping and pool are beautiful and the location is really very good. We used the computers in the lobby area and they worked perfectly. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of coffee and juices in addition to homemade omelets, yogurt, breads and many great fruits.

Bad smell in the room and umidity and very bad smell in the bathroom. Poor breakfast buffet.

There was this thundering noise for about five minutes right before we stepped outside to go to dinner, as soon as we opened the door the whole world was engulfed in thick yellowish smoke!not sure what to do we started scrambling and running towards the main building where the reception area was,( help! War?) Not a soul in sight! The whole place was abandoned! Dead. So it was the mosquito spray that no one at the hotel bothered to alert the guests about! It's like those crop pesticide spray from the airplane, nasty stuff. Surely a jolt out of paradise, back to reality!
The whole place is magical until...

Location and friendly staff

- Very good location,so that people can reach easyly almost all the touristic places such as ''Old Town '' and night market by either by walking or short tuk-tuk rides. There are also several good quality/ high end restaurants near the hotel. The River Market rest. is one of them. - Beatiful garden and very nice swimming pool. People can easyly forget the very bussy and noissy outside after passing through the hotel enterence. It is completely another world, very peacefull and silent. - Rooms are big, clean and well decorated and we could find everything we need. - Very friendly people and we enjoyed a lot after getting their recommendations about the city. - Breakfast buffet in terms of quality and quantity of the foods is very good. - All in all , no need to search any other places in Chiang Mai in case if Yaang Come hotel is suitable in your budget.

Mosquitoes in the late evening/ night. Better to use a mosquito repellent.
The ambience was nice. 5 minute walk to the night bazaar. Stayed in the junior suite..... Was great as my kid could not use the swimming pool due to the cold climate and was happy with the jacuzzi in the room.

Poor choice of breakfast.
The location and ambience of the hotel and helpful staff.

Only option for Queen size bed was downstairs where the rooms are not as nice, privacy is less, and the breezeway noise is more since everyone has to go by your room to get to theirs. We were originally upstairs but wanted to sleep together so they moved us downstairs while we were out without telling us about the downgraded room. They did move us back upstairs but we had to wait 2 nights to get back up there. There was a single power outlet with a power strip on the other side of the room from the bed/s so having your phone/alarm clock/music/... charging next to you while you sleep was not an option without an extension cord (with none available at the front desk) Felt a bit monitored with the cameras and the giant keys that needed to be left at the front desk every time we left. It was probably in the spirit of providing proactive service but I prefer to be a bit more anonymous while traveling.
Most of the staff helpful and friendly Fellow guests were adults or responsible families. Not the college party scene or the screaming brats. Amazingly they noted my wife's birthday and left a very nice fruit arrangement for her. Breakfast convenience was helpful to get you going instead of waiting until 8 or 9 for local restaurants to open.

Minor comments: The lighting in the room was a little dim for bed time reading; The old CRT type TV was a little small, limited channels, far away from the bed and no option to connect USB.
Great hotel in very quiet are of town and nearby town center, nice to come home in fresh and clean room; Spacious bathroom with nice tub; Nice breakfast with good mix of international and local dishes; Comfy rocking chair in the room; Good selection of toiletries.

noisy air con Wifi not reliable Breakfast for a place like this is very poor construction noise from a new high riser that is build beside the resort

We didn't like: the cleaning team doesnt do their best, we had bugs all over the place. Our toilet was dirty when we checked in and they only cleaned it on the 2nd day after I asked. we were travelling with a baby so I was cleaning after them, not what you expect for this money. Restaurant is average but you have a lot of options not far. Construction sites on both sides.
We liked: breakfast, nice pool and decoration, room is big enough, helpful staff at reception, good location.
