All The location is absolutely amazing!
Maybe one thing : breakfast is a bit dispointimg for such a great hotel.
Location, privacy, heated outdoor pool, breakfast served in any location of your preference, friendly staff.
More information regarding spa / services / breakfast / facilities etc in rooms would save a lot of questions.
The views, the heated swimming pool, the extreme comfort of the bed and then waking up for an excellent breakfast looking at the mountains of Sicily in the distance.
Although the food was very good, we missed being able to have something simpler for lunch. We found the descriptions on the menu over elaborate (apparently crackeé means grilled) and the restaurant was just a bit too formal. They should loosen up a little. Finally, whereas all the rooms are excellent, if you have the choice I would try and avoid staying in the "Orientale" suite where we stayed. This is because it is on the route the staff take to come into work, so you will have a constant stream of staff passing by your window, especially in the morning. This can be a little disconcerting if you're trying to get dressed or undressed. Otherwise, La Villa Bleue is fabulous.
We stayed in the beautiful Suite Ovalie. The room was of a very high standard, and the location stunning. Sidi Bou Saïd is a very pretty town, ideal for early evening wanderings with a camera. Our balcony overlooks the sea and the Carthage marina, and we had the (delicious) breakfast there each morning. The restaurant was very very good. We ate at Dar El Jeld, and it was honestly a toss-up as to which was our favourite. We stayed in half a dozen hotels in our time in Tunisia, and this one completely blew away the competition. We're seriously considering flying back from London for another weekend just for this hotel.
The hotel is a little hard to find. Our taxi driver drove around for maybe 20m asking a dozen different people where it was. Take directions in advance!
Suits, staff, restaurant, the view, and the theme of the villa
The breakfast, it needs more varieties. the spa was not working.
Everything was incredible. The location is part of heaven. All what u need is to sit on the balcony and relax with the great sea view and the wind wispering . If I will come back to tunisie, it would be just to spend couple of days there
There are small thing that the about the wifi that is weak in where my ro but if I go outside by the pool it is strong. So It is not a big deal
The staff is very friendly and professional. Excellent breakfast ... nice room...
This was a lovely place in a lovely location. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. I was visiting as a birthday present to myself and could not have imagined a better place or location where I could have spent the day. I was even presented a cake on my birthday, which was lovely. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would absolutely go back.
The web site indicates there is a spa. I don't think this is actually the case yet...The hotel is new and still being developed and am guessing that this is an element that is still to come...Wasn't a problem but did leave me wondering. I was visiting during Ramadan and the evening meal was a traditional iftar. This was wonderful food and it was great to experience the tradition. What this seemed to mean though was that local people who were breaking the fast were given seating in the hotel restaurant, while the hotel guests were seated in the common areas to eat (rather than at a regular dining table). This proved a bit awkward with regard to eating soup etc. and these common areas were where those in the dining room came to smoke. If I had made a reservation the day of arrival I would have understood this, but I had made the reservation for diner when I booked the hotel in April for my July stay. There was also no obvious food/beverage provision during the day. Apparently it was available, but not clear how one might go about gaining access and no one came around by the pool to ask if such was desired. This may also have been Ramadan related.
Very relaxing setting, friendly staff and very clean. Amazing rooms and decorations. Food in the resturant was great.
Check-in and check-out was slow and confusing (could not find bills etc.) WIFI very unstable
Amazing location. Great interior design. Dedicated staff, truly willing to make you feel home. We were traveling with a 9-month baby and everything was made to make us feel comfortable.
This hotel could easily become "Tunisia's best kept secret" but more attention must be given to details.
Well located in Sidi Bou Said Not a classic hotel but well a former house which has been set in hotel. Breakfast on terrace with the sea in front .
stairs to go to the room not their fault but poor phone connection in some rooms. small pool
Stunning views. Gorgeous suite. Excellent location--just steps from Cafe Delice. Wonderful breakfast included. Friendly staff.
I wish that the person who checked me in had given me information about the property--that breakfast was included, and at what time, the wifi password, what time the dining room opened for dinner, what time the spa was open, etc.
Comfortable, lovely taste, beautiful views, helpful staff.
My husband is mobility impaired. It wasn't clear from the website that he might have difficulties accessing the village, so we were a little restricted in our movements, apart from using a taxi.
Great hotel in great location. Each room has sea view. The hotel is new and rooms are decorated in modern style with cultural spirit. Breakfast is "Yummy" serving the traditional tunisian pie every morning. It's only five minutes walk to Sidi Bou Said main street. Very close to many cafes with great view and food.
Since the hotel is new many taxies didn't know how to reach the hotel. Though we got great help from the hotel to descripe the place. Service of breakfast took long time so it's better to tell the time in advance.
Just paradise for such a value ! A bit of culture and history of Tunisia
Everything was just perfect
Excellent location; rooms are lovely - modern, very clean and well prepared - the best of the lot we have found in Tunisia!!; each room is very different and beautifully finished; staff are very professional, with cleaning staff doing an amazing job every day; being the first to stay, we received wonderful attention! (despite a few set backs of a soft launch as such); the family driver (Mohammed) was fantastic & took us to all the locations we had wanted to see & visit; we were invited to have dinner with family & friends on our first night & the owners really tried to entertain us in an amazing fashion!; overall a fantastic stay! We felt safe, extremely comfortable and it was the perfect location for us.
being new, there were a few setbacks - our room had a horrible smell (but can easily be rectified & this was talked about); the wifi & TV's were still to be connected (didn't bother us as we were there with my parents & it was about quality time together); a lack of consistency across the board but we know these small issues will be rectified with a bit more time!
