beach is amazing
wifi expensive and poor quality breakfast
The staff are great, loved the location, security guard with his trusty dog were always there at night. Water right in front of you with an awesome breeze, definitely going to come back in 2015 for longer :)
Goood service, good views and good bathroom.
Dirty sheets, run down, lots of random chairs lying around in the grounds.
Being right by the blowholes was amazing, particularly at sunset. The breakfasts were generous and tasty. The staff tried hard and were very friendly.
Unfortunately the resort is very rundown and needs some TLC/makeover of both the grounds and the rooms. Our mattress sagged in the middle and we ended up leaving one day early due to poor sleep. The shower was temperamental and sometimes just ran cold. There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Being close to the blowholes means nothing dries due to the spray. We left our windows ajar one night and our luggage got wet; a warning would have been appreciated. Except for breakfast, the food was ordinary.
I loved the Bungalow and its setting, great views and friendly staff's. Keleti will always be my hide away when I go to Tonga, loved everything about the resort.
I loved the approachability, friendliness and family-oriented characteristics of all the staff that worked there, including the owners and Managers. I also loved the beautiful place and the reef. MAGIC
The staff were wonderful and friendly, alway happy to organise taxis and tours
Shower was a dribble and either burning hot or cold
The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly! The setting is quite special with a cute little white sandy beach and blowholes, the fale's are in a beautiful garden where you can pick your own coconuts off the palm trees, and we most enjoyed the fire we had in their brazier. Our fale was simple but spotless and we had a great sleep, listening to the waves crushing on the rocks. There's nothing much around, so the perfect place to stay if you want some serenity or when coming from or heading towards the Tongatapu airport.
The food was very tasty and reasonable, but the bar could have been better equipped (e.g. there was only half a bottle of tonic water left one night, but then we stayed in off season). The only thing i really didn't like was lots of plastic rubbish in the garden and at the beach … we talked about it with the staff (some is coming from the ocean, some from daytime visitors having a picknick and don't clean up after themselfes) and they wanted to address it … I hope they do, it would so much improve this beautiful place!
We only had one night on Tongatapu and didnt want to go right into town. Great location and nice and peaceful.
It was cheap, but we arrived when it was dark and left before the sun came up, so it is difficult to say a lot. We did walk down to the beach, which is very close by
Nothing really, the beds were a bit short
Sarh was very helpful and pleasant great to deal with
The property is badly run down and needs a lot of TLC although reasonable for the cost
Excellent situation on southern coast. Dramatic waves crashing onto basalt reef a few meters from shore creating powerful blowholes closer in. Only able to swim at low tide, but lots of swimming holes then. We were lucky enough to see humpback whales performing breaching and tail slapping about 50m out from the comfort of our restaurant. Accommodation is in fales with this wonderful view. Some have own ensuite some are shared between 2 rooms. Hot water via gas califont, fridge and kettle in each. Resort has restaurant with reasonable menu. Friendly, helpful staff.
Beds are a little saggy in the middle when shared. Resort is rather isolated. We hired a car ($60 a day from Fab rentals-very helpful) which made it much easier to get around.
The Beaches, The Staff, The Location, The Food, The Quietness
The Shower, The place could have been a little cleaner.
The staff were fantastic The position with great views Out of town, but didnt take long to geth into town This is not. Five star if you would be looking for luxury this is not the resort, we loved it, No tv's Our own private little beach on a pacific island Snorkelling from resort beach
There was nothing really I Didnt like, we had no water one morning that was due to one water tank running out, the issue was addresses straight away,we soon had water, the hot water in the shower only dribbled, due to the low water pressure but could still have one
Value for money and the staff were extremely helpful in helping us book a car and other activities, and gaining some local knowledge.
Was a little out of the way, would be handy to to have a few more shelves in the room and hooks/shelving in the bathroom.
Loved the location and staff were very helpful and friendly. It is amazing being able to sit and eat your breakfast and watch whales breaching a few hundred meters away.
Shower wasn't great
very nice and kind people. very pleasant staff thru and thru.
need to learn a bit more hospitality skills. May be a uniform as well. Internet in rooms not available
Only spent the nite there. Room was clean, staff was very nice. Beautiful view of the ocean.
No AC in unit. Too much trash around the property. I could not imagine spending very much time there. Not near any other facilities, but if you like seclusion, this might work for you.
The remoteness by the coast, so we could see and hear the blowholes. The simplicity of the resort, no frills but all you needed. The meals were great. Hospitality great. Distance from town was good (30mins) Cellphone signal, weak but there. Security guard. Beds were comfortable. Great quite place away from crowds.
Shower when it went hot then cold. but we got used to it and worked with it. A little run down, but that didn't worry us or stop our comfort.
I cant think of anything I liked
The airport transfer was expensive (TOP$40). No one was there to check us in, the nightwatchman had to break in to the office to get a key to let us in. No drinking water provided. The room was not mozzie proof and there were no mozzie nets.
The staff were helpful and friendly. Being right on the water at the blow holes was picturesque. The food in the restaurant was quite tasty and a good value. It also helped that the restaurant was open all day as the resort is a cab ride from anything else.
The resort was pretty basic and a bit run down. It was okay for one night while in transit but I wouldn't have been happy staying longer. The sheets and towels were stained and not very fresh smelling. And like much of Tonga, the internet didn't work. To get into town was $25 Tongan each way.
Beautiful people, good food, stunning coastline.
The accommodation could do with some TLC.
Vinnie, Liz and the staff there were very helpful and made sure our stay was pleasant, it wasn't over crowded with tourists and we had what felt like our own private beach.
Would like to have had a traditional tongan food option on the menu.
All the staff were lovely and helpful. The location was great, not too far from the main town. The little private beach had a sheltered swimming area protected by barrier rocks. Food was tasty and a good price.
The waves crashing over the barrier rocks were VERY loud sometimes. There was no furniture in my room except the bed so I couldn't unpack at all even though I was going to be there for over a week. I had to ask for fresh towels and for the toilet roll to be replaced .
The place is isolated, which is good for honeymooners. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is right above the beach, and one can see the ocean breaking on the rocks.
The location is difficult to reach over bad roads. The bungalows are very tiny and cramped.
