water supply problems. All resorts on the west coast suffer from a poor town water supply.
Location and staff. The Sunset Bar and Restaurant has a fabulous position and the complimentary breakfasts are excellent.

Office staff rude and unhelpful, rooms and showers shabby and dirty. Gardens littered, pool not useable, one full of mud!
Staff in restaurant were the highlight.

Friendly staff Good food

Too many power outages, especially at night, so no fans and too hot.
Quiet. Friendly staff. Good food.

The ceiling fans in the rooms did not work. Their was only one room with aircon. It cost $80 Tongan to go into town and back by Taxi and $80 oneway from the airport.
The food was good. Staff were really good. Glenda made our stay better. She got us a fan for the room and was a genuine help. The sea pool was lovely. Beach was great. Wessley the Tour/Taxi driver is a asset to them. The show was also well done.

Really wish there was Air con. Was Very hot in the room at night and hard to sleep. Ceiling fan doesn't help at all. Also Quite a few cockroaches Checked in when the office was closed so wasn't given info on wifi/ closing times/ pre-ordering sunday lunch etc, but we got there in the end
Staff were awesome!! went out of their way for us, Friendly and helpful, esp the Bar staff :) Food was delicious as well!! Tidal Sea pool was cool and safe for the kids to swim in. Beautiful Sunset and view from the restaurant.

They advertise a pool which is poorly maintained and doesn't do this purpose it's designed to.
The peacefulness and the free whale watching every day

Having to go home
If you want to go somewhere for rest & relaxation then this is the place. The seawater pool area is nice, close to the bar & restaurant & a hop down to the reef for some snorkeling. The staff are friendly & helpful especially Pelotu & Martha in the restaurant.

That we didnt have enough time to get to the know place better. Didnt want to go.
The best part was the hospitality shown the staff. They were incredibly accommodating.

The cocktails are tasty but weak - local beers are better value. The complimentary breakfast is fresh and tasty, but quite small. We found that topping the breakfast up by ordering eggs was a good idea. This costs extra, but the breakfast menu prices are really cheap. Wifi only works by the office/reception area - this is fine, but it wasn't clear when we booked that it was only an hour per day and not available in our fale.
The treehouse bar overlooking the water has amazing views and great atmosphere and catches the cooling breeze. Likualofa has a good sized and flexible menu (all day) and they are willing to serve down by the pool. We were able to request vegetarian options from the lunch menu for dinner, no problems. The fale was a generous size, with lovely high ceilings and tasteful Tongan-themed decor. The beach front and sunset views are amazing. The coral takes a little bit of negotiating, but there is also a sand beach just a couple of minutes walk from the resort beach. The gardens are stunning - beautifully landscaped and tropical, but still lush and wild enough to make you feel private in your fale. Glenda gave us great service every day, and was helpful and genuine. The feast and cultural show is reputed to be the best in Tonga - according to locals - and we certainly got great value for money. The feast was generous and the cultural show a lot longer and more detailed than others we have seen. It's a good idea to keep some low-denomination Tongan $ with you at the show, so you can participate in the custom of showing your appreciation of the dancers by sticking $ to the coconut oil on their shoulders and arms.

We were charged for airport pickup $70 for 2 people without notice. A taxi would have been cheaper and faster. The swimming pool was empty at low tide and quite murky at high tide.
Awesome location and wonderful people. Loved the beach view and the cottage setup. Free wifi was certainly a plus too. The "natural swimming pool" was a nice touch.

The heat of the room, and inability to cool it down for sleeping. Would like better fans, or perhaps air con.
The services, location and staff were fantastic! Was great to have the beach and pool so close! Loved it, 10/10 :D
