Hele vriendelijke eigenaar en de lodge is heel mooi. De eigenaar heeft een heerlijke organische Tonga-maaltijd voor ons bereid!

After traveling 120 countries, I'd like to endorse and repeat exactly same review which Jorge wrote below on Feb 11th 2013. The owner Saia is a matured gentleman with incredible kindness. He made his best effort to make himself sure that guests staying at his lodge were comfortable. He loves Samoa thus he is passionate to entertain guests in his home country Tonga. Olini lodge is a must stay place when you are in Tonga.

This is not a hotel, it is a personal family guest house. Excellent !! Very very friendly and helpful hosts for all of your needs and wishes. Excellent and extended breakfast all day. Cleanest room in Tonga and South Pacific. Bathroom and shower for Tonga is excellent Large parking space View to the lagoon from Patio Location overall is really recommendable

If you come from airport, easy to find, directly at the main road to town If you like animals like cocks, roosters and dogs – the surroundings will serve you

Very nice clean lodge, a little bit out of town, but have all the facilities you need for a good comfortable stay. The best thing about the stay for me was the friendly atmosphere, and the guy in charge, Siosaia, is a great host. As a solo traveller, I definitely felt included in the "family" and he showed us the incredible sites around the island, and we went on a hunt for ice cream! Siosaia loves cheese. So if you want to get into his good books, bring him some cheese (it's expensive in Tonga).

Good email communication prior to arrival and airport pick-up on arrival. Very friendly, helpful and informative host. Relaxed atmosphere at Olini Lodge and free WiFi connection. A clean and well run establishment and great value for money.

Absolutely great stay, very friendly, fantatsic breakfasts, owner willing to help in any way to help you out. I had King room - massive!!! Everything works just fine, friendly -at home - feeling to the place.

A nice safe family enviroment and well worth a visit

Saia (the owner and operator) is the soul of the place - his personal goal is to make you feel like a part of his family and he excels at that. The lodge itself is beautiful, good value, good location (just a few mins taxi or bus from town). Saia will meet you in the airport as well and is a great conversation companion. Thank you!

After being in more than 120 countries around the world I must say that this has been the friendliest place we have ever been. It is a 11/10. Much better than being in my own home. Interesting information, nice conversations, incredible breakfast... Whatever you need...you got it all. Impossible to get anything close for the price.

Clean, quiet, superbly hosted and very 'South West Pacific'. A 'value add' experience as your host is very good at facilitator, able to confirm or organise activties for you with a phone call or two. Relaxing and relaxed.

This was a positive experience all round.

Very, very friendly family in a home stay type arrangement, - Jo especially took great care of me, showing me around the island on a day trip around the island, - very funny guy, - loved my time here, - would definately go back here to stay again!

Olini Lodge is like a home from home and that is pretty rare to find on the traveling scene. The Lodge feels likes someones house decorated really well, very clean and with delicious fresh meals with local fresh produce. However what really makes Olini Lodge the only place I would stay in Tonga is the people running it in particular Snowy. They can not do enough for you from taking you on tours of island, picking you flowers to wear in your hair, taking you to all the places only locals know for some local treats. As a tourist you get used to being seen as a dollar sign but they are not like that here, they really want you to have a great time at their lodge and thats it.

The most helpful and friendly people who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and to be helpful. Although not advertised the food was just superb. I would recomend this place as the moost helpful place I have stayed.

I loved it all.

I only stayed at Olini Lodge for one night as i was flying into Nuka Alofa and the next day flying out to Vava'u. I was also supposed to do the same on the return trip but circumstances changed due to bad weather and flights. I found Snowie the owner to be a very informative gentleman regarding the history and the traditional customs in Tonga. Mary his wife was just as friendly and wonderful. The room i had booked was great and clean. For a fee there is also airport transfers. To sum it up Olini Lodge was great - my son is going there next week doing the same trip. Lee-Anne

1) La gentillesse et la disponibilite du maitre des lieux, jeune retraite qui s'est reconverti dans le tourisme et prend bien soin de ses "invites". 2) Cette Maison d'hotes est tres agreable et on se sent chez soi avec libre acces a la cuisine, a la Salle a Manger et au salon.

La route principale en dessous de la villa qui est bruyante dans le journee mais heureusement calme de 21h00 a 7h00.
