All the staff were very polite and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable and it was very nice to have coffee and tea available free for guests through out the day. The design of the hotel i liked very much with tasteful renovations of the restaurant area.

The staff at the Acra hotel in istanbul, turkey have been bottom line outstanding. Very outgoing with strong focus on timely and high quality customer service. We felt pampered from the moment we stepped into the hotel. The rooms are clean, quiet, with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus. The hotel is in the center of the old town, just minutes away from st. Sophia and the blue mosque... Everything is walkable, and the kind folks at the acra hotel were more than happy to assist whenever we had questions and/or were in need of assistance/directions. Teşekkür ederim!!! Absolutely nothing to complain about... The trip was a blast. Kudos to the staff of the acra hotel... I will be recommending you to any/all people that are going to istanbul; whether for leisure of business... Customer service alone makes you feel like you are a sultan. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful people. We are still under the strong impressions as the folks that work at the acra hotel, have been crucial in making this an unforgettable experience... Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The hotel had old world charm, though new itself, and its service was personalized and helpful. We would highly recommend it. Its location for the traditional sites of Istanbul was particularly useful and food and memento shopping was near at hand.

Our whole experience at the Acra was very positive and I would certainly recommend the hotel to others visiting the city. The only suggestion I would make relates to the daily change of towels. I think a lot of travelers are happy to use towels more than once, so I`m happy when hotels give you the option to hang up your towel (no change) or leave it on the floor or in the tub (change). It`s a lot better for the environment.

The staff is very polite, respectful and friendly, helping with advices on what to visit and where to eat. The location (in the heart of the old city) is also great being close to the St. Sophia Cathedral, the Blue Mosque and Topcapi Palace. Another brilliant thing is that they offer tea and pastry all day long in the lobby. Being located in a very busy area, I would have appreciated a better noise isolation of the room.

One of the main reasons we chose the Acra was the availability of family suites, which many hotels do not offer. Location near Hagia Sophia in the Old City is invaluable. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Istanbul.

I liked everything about the hotel and can't think of anything I would complain about. The staff were friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms were really comfortable and welcoming. The location was great and within walking distance of all the sites.

The room staff did help by putting a duvet under the sheets to make the bed softer. Room porter is a cheery chap. Walking into the foyer this seems a nice place, but actually pretty average, generic beige, choclate and mustard furnishing, the beds are very hard by Australian standards. Breakfast is self serve to the extent of peel your own fruit, set your own table and choose the cleanest grubby table cloth! Dining room is interesting, but could do with a hoover. I am sure there is better value around further up the hill

We sayed at acra for a week. With this been our first trip to Istanbul we didnt know what to expect. We were impressed from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We were warmly greeted and assisted to our room, by friendly, courtious and professional staff. Lale and all the staff on all levels were absolutely fabulous. Nothing we needed or asked was too much to ask for, from arranging our daily tours, which by the way were fantastic experiences and great value for money Eg the Bosphorus Cruise, the Gallipoli Tour, The Orient Dinner to the Tour of the Alsofya Mosque to basic needs such as adapters for our mobiles. Breakfast was generous and fresh as well beautifully presented also a great variety was always available. The complimentary daily afternoon tea was so delicious we couldnt get enough and really looked forward to it. Location is also perfect, close to everything. Cant wait to go back. We miss the place and the lovely people.

Location - steps from evewrything but on quiet street. Historic building, breakfast hall is like underground, some columns and ancient walls restored. Very clean and comfortable, a rear thing in Sultanahmet if less then 5 stars.

The hotel is in a great location- 2 minutes walk from Sultanahmet mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi museum. The staff is very kind and helpful and the rooms are quite large (superior double bed room). I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting istanbul for sightseeing purpose.

Excellent service from the hotel staff who were very helpful! My 3 year old didn't want to leave by the end of our stay and really got on with them. Breakfast was great but even better was the tea and pastries available in the lobby after a tiring day of sightseeing! Location was perfect and was a 2 min walk to the Blue Mosque.

I liked the help we got from staff. We left a PSP in a bus and one of the hotel staff (Masut) brought it to us at no charge which was very helpful. The neiborhood is quiet and convenient. Breakfast could be more varied. Also, there is no terriace with a nice view like some other hotels.

“The hotel was clean and food was really good, sightseeing was within easy reach from the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and they booked our restaurants/ taxis / transport to places we wished to visit outside the area. One member of staff who deserves recognition and went far beyond the call of duty was a young man called Fikret. We are so thankful for his honesty & support with a problem we had (self inflicted) and cannot praise him enough.” |carol, Uzumlu Fethiye |
