The staff running the 24 hr reception desk and the attached restaurant/bar are very friendly and helpful. Internet access is free. Location is excellent: only 3 blocks walk from Gulhane tramstop; near convenience stores and a variety of restaurants; and easy walk to all the big attractions. The outdoor seating for the hotel's own restaurant is cosy and comfortable even in late December, and the meals on the dinner menu are good, despite what might be expected given the cold "Turkish breakfast" offerings which are dull and meagre. Although WiFi was free and was apparently available on our floor, it was so slow and signal strength so fluctuating that it was in fact unusable even standing with the laptop directly under the router in the hallway. However, it was functioning on the ground floor in the lobby and the restaurant/bar area, and two desktop internet PCs were available in the lobby free of charge. Regarding the washroom/toilets, out of curiosity I had a peak at the 'shared bathroom' on the 3rd and 2nd floors and I would definitely not have wanted to use either. They are grungy with apparently broken fittings and heavily stained enamel on the tubs, sinks and floor tiles. Our own ensuite washroom was considerably better though firmly in budget hotel category. |

cooperative staff,and its location is perfect 4 tourist sitting in hotel coridoor is small ,v were waiting 4 car to drop us at airport but there is no place where v sit all staff sit on sofas ad playing games |

The cold buffet breakfast was excellent and other meals were very good quality. The pedestrianised location was great and provided easy access to tourist oriented places. Less than five minutes walk from Gulhane tram station and less than ten from Sirkeci train station means easy access by bus (Otogar Esenler) as well as train/air. No hot breakfast. Cramped bedrooms and wet room was smaller in our double than in a single. Our room was a double (with double bed and single) and daughter's room was single (with double bed), if appropriate beds had been in place it would have worked better. Only two outlets and they were used for mini-bar and TV so bring a multi-socket. |

Excellent location in the heart of the old city with a great restaurant nearby , free internet , very nice breakfast. In a word : Excellent value for money! The hotel staff -though friendly and helpful- sometimes paid more attention to find a way to hook a girl than to serve their clients. |

Location Location Location! Its a three star hotel, you pay for three star services, amentites, and room size and that is what you get. However, you get five star location and a very nice booking staff who was very flexible when our flight got cancelled. You can hear your neighbors. But again, set your expectations at three star prices and you will not be disappointed. |

Excellent location in the center, close to tram and railway, 45 minutes from the airport, main sightseeings within 10-15 minutes walk. Very quiet place and nice outdoor bar with traditional cushions. Rooms with conditioning, WiFi was not easy to connects, but once done it worked. Breakfast is poor, especially instant coffee, and they need bathroom renovation obviously: quite poor look with mould all over the place. |

food was Good . stuff were very helpfull ... hotel was clean ....... you need to take the metro " tramvay " from the airport to the hotel " serkeci station " and pay 3 TL/person instread of paying 25 Euros |

The price was very good and the location very central. The food from the menu was really excellent with very generous portions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I have already recommended Hotel Agan to friends in England, and I would definitely stay there again if the price was still good. The bathroom was very small and the whole bathroom got wet when you showered, and did not drain away very well so was slippery. Our room was right next to the lift which was noisy at night, and on the 1st floor so we could hear noise from outside late at night. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room which would have been appreciated. |

Staff most friendly - and good looking! Eager to please. Charming quiet street-cushioned pedestrian location with all the 'night-buzz' one looked for in Istanbul. Good food and drinks - and hubble-bubbling - moderately priced. Great setting. |

There were just two members of staff who were very pleasant but unfortunately don't know their names - one girl and one young man. Our room was a bit small but the bathroom was appalling. The toilet bowl was filthy, the shower was wet room style so drenched the whole room and leaked out onto the bedroom floor after use, the wash basin leaked all over the floor when used. The staff member looking after the breakfast room was asleep in the corner of the room so guests had to clear their own tables before and after use. |
