Everything was great, we had 5 rooms in total and stayed 8 nights there, their services were great and the staff are really friendly and helpful, special thanks to Mohanned and Fatih. The rooms are super clean and comfy and they were cleaning the rooms everyday and give us fresh towels. Every morning we had breakfast which was more than good. The location is good, less than 10 min walk to Taksim sqr, and full with supermarkets, restaurants and etc. It has a short uphill walk which maybe not easy for elders but anyway Mohanned and other staff offered my parents a free ride till Taksim sqr everyday. I will definitely stay there next time I go to Istanbul as it's a convenient place and you can't find anything to complain.
location is cool, 8 min to Taksim including going up a hill. the staff is helpful, they even drove us to the airport bus stop. breakfast is basic, machine coffee but it's what you expect for this price. Overall, the hotel is value for money.
We got the room on the 4th floor which was supposed to have a balcony. It wasn't what we expected, in fact it didn't even have a TV, the air-conditioning didn't work properly, not to mention the bad view from the window. So I suggest you book the rest of the appartments which are way more spacious and value for money.. on our first day the room wasn't that clean and our towels were dirty. they changed the towels and the next morning they cleaned our room. this only happened once, I suppose they clean up your room upon request. Apart from that, our stay was ok.
Nice, quiet and clean hotel near Taksim square. Staff is very kind and helpful. Price is reasonable. I would stay here again. Havatas bus stop is also very close.
Love the room design and furnitures Helpful and supportive staff
I don't like the location of the hotel, no much variety of breakfast buffet Don't provide baby bed. Room view very ugly.
The room was very spacious, new, nicely decorated and clean. It is a fast walk to Taksim Square (around 7 min) and 5 minute walk to the Havas bus (the airport bus.) The owner was very helpful and prompt with any email inquiries. We booked 3 rooms here and everyone in my family were very happy with the hotel. My parents didn't have any problem with the steep slope other people mentioned. The owner even asked if we needed a ride so we didn't have to walk the slope, but we were okay and walked anyway.
The hotel is in the middle of many construction sites. However, it was completely safe to walk at night.
This hotel is located near Taksim square which could be a nice place if you arrive at Sabina Gocken airport. Compared to its price, the facilitate and service were great. The staff, especially Muhammad, is extraordinarily kind and helpful. Although there is a very steep hill to reach the hotel, it takes less than 10 minutes from the square.
Wifi is quiet poor. This may be a problem with Istanbul, not with this hotel. Other than this, everything was good.
The hotel is located near Taxim square (walking distance) but is still far enough to be calm and quiet. It is clean and the staff are very helpful.
We just had a very pleasant stay at almond hill, the guys there were more than friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and very well-equipped for self service. Breakfast was simple yet more than enough for every day kickstart. I don't see a reason to book a 3 or 4 starred hotel when there are hotels like almond hill, special thanks to Mohanned and Fatih
The view from the room window isn't perfect, the 5-min walk up the hill is little exhausting like everyone said, but both points were not really a problem compared to the rest of aspects.
-the room was in basement but still was big and had natural night -breakfast good. And every day there was something (atleast 1) new thing to eat -even though the hotel is situated near a construction site, there was no noise in the rooms. -the staff (Muhanad) spoke very good english and was very helpful. -The rooms were clean and had microwave.
-the hotel is on slope and you had to cross it to go to Taksim. -Taksim is atleast 10 minute walk. -Bathroom had weird smell. -It was difficult to find the hotel
Nice hotel for this money
Way too noisy outside of the hotel in the night time.
Big room and clean
Everything was really good. The rooms are perfectly insulated and you can sleep even though outside the muezzin sings or there is a turkish wedding (it was our case, and actually we enjoyed it). The staff is always there, always welcoming you and helping. They deserve a 10 stars review.
Nothing. Those who say there is a steep climb to reach Taksim forget that Istanbul was edified on eight hills, and it is pretty common to walk on a steep climb to reach nice places. Moreover, Taksim square and Istiklal Geddasi, one of the main roads in Intanbul, are really close, and from there you can reach the airport, the center, the Golden Horn.
Highly recommended! We are Korean. We stayed there a few weeks ago. My friend and I enjoyed everything in it. Big, clean, comfortable room on reasonable price. Nice view in the room. Staff was so kind and very helpful. I would like to say thank you to the staff I met there. Excellent breafast. I would stay there again. Thank you so much.
We were a group of 3 girls n stayed at Almond hill for 3 nights n 4 days. The staff was extremely polite and helpful especially Muhaunat and had good communication skills. The staff could communicate well in English language and helped us around the city. The location is very close to the Taksim square 10 mins walk uphill. So metro station n bus station is all in the vicinity. For late night party goers like us girls the location was safe n Taxi were easy available. Great place to stay n easy on our pockets. Must stay here when in Istanbul.
It's very good place and the staff excellent specially Muhammad We Like it All good cleaning,wi. Fi size of the room
I booked 5 nights with a very good rate. The stuff was very friendly and helpful specially Mohanad, despite of he speaks Arabic very well, he gave us alot of guidance and useful hints about where and how to go in Istanbul, also he offered us free ride with his car to the Airport Shuttle Bus Station. The owner was very welcoming and offer us an upgrade to a better and more spacious room with balacony for only 5 Euros per night. The breakfast was ok (small open buffet). The hotel is newly constructed(almost 6 months) so everything was clean and new.
Close to some construction sites (new hotels under construction) but it didn't bother us at all maybe due to the room walls were sound proof. The hotel is at the end of a slip hill that needs some efforts if you don't practice at all or old age.
As we've enjoyed the 1st night a lot, we've extended our stay and booked for the whole week! staffs are very friendly, the hotel location is fairly close to Taksim sq and rooms are considerably spacious, tedious and well equipped. And its delicious Turkish breakfast is really the icing on the cake :)
Even if the street of the hotel is not fancy, this hotel is really closed to the famous neighborhood of Taksim square (5 mn by foot). The hotel is really clean and well decorated. The staff is really friendly and can help you to have all the informations you need (do not hesitate to ask for Muhannad who speaks currently English). The room is perfect with all you need. The breakfast is also really good. Best place to stay in Istanbul at this price!!!
The hotel is on a steep slope but if you can walk easily it is not a problem.
modern furniture, newly renovated, very large rooms with lots of light. The hotel itself is definitely a true 4 star. Staff also very friendly and with excellent english proficiency (quite rare in Instanbul). Reception available 24 hrs. Overall location near Taksim was very good.
the surroundings of the hotel were awful, construction sites and garbage everywhere. After the first day we got used to it and we were ensured by the staff that locals will not hassle or harm tourists. It turned out to be safe in the end.
Staff were incredibly amazing, room was perfect - wifi, fridge, flat-screen TV, big cupboards, balcony, large shower, big comfy bed etc. Hotel is 5min walk to Taksim, but has small cafe's around it and is close to the bus stop.
Nothing, there is some building going on, but they have soundproof windows so it doesn't bother at all.
Big and confortable rooms. Everything was clean and new. Cooking facilities in every room. Breakfast did not vary much from day to day but was enough for us. Very friendly staff, always willing to solve our doubts and giving useful advice. Very good price and doubtless, an excellent choice in Istanbul.
Perhaps the situation of the hotel is the thing we liked less. It is not as close as expected from Taksim square (8 mins walking), and you have to go through a quite pronounced slope. Apart from that everything was perfect! :-)
The hotel is not big, comfortable, cosy, furniture is new, our room was spacious. There is a lift. Staff is welcoming and in general helpful. Breakfast is ok, a usual european one (eggs, ham. cheese, bread etc). 7min from Taksim square.
Extremely difficult to find it, especially at night! They got no neon sign! It is located not in the nicest area, several local people said it was a dangerous place. A huge rubbish place just opposite the hotel. It was not a big problem, just a bit scary walking at night, homeless people didn't seem to be aggressive. It was hard to climb the road, so, as many people mentioned, if you have health problems, don't choose it.
Rooms were fresh and nice looking. The price was adequate. Generally I was satisfied with the stay. It was nice to be notified about uphill in advance.
At first appeared that the room I was showed when I came here first time to preview, was actually not my room. It was a big reason for me while choosing the hotel. So I was ready to cancel the reservation and to search for another one at 9 am. But I was glad that the staff could manage it. Breakfast was very poor and had very small area only 2 tables inside and 1 outside. I was told that breakfast starts at 8 am, but when I was checking out at 8.30 I discovered that breakfast was already served.
