Anemon Galata Hotel

This was the second time we stayed at the Anemon Galata in Istanbul. The location of the hotel, and the terrace in particular, are fantastic because of the views. The staff are wonderful - very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully kept (again with views). Just a lovely hotel in a wonderful area of the city.

The breakfast plates leave one with no choice. Please bring back the buffet.

Prime location - exactly near Galata Tower; very close to the tram station (Karakoy), boat station (Karakoy), Galata bridge; lots of gift shops and cafes around; Istiklal Str is just 8-10 mnts walk from the hotel; abs gorgeous city view from the restaurant on the top floor; very helpful staff.

Our room was too small for two people, it was really dark inside, just small lamps near the beds and the writing table; air conditioner made too much noise, some days we couldn't fall asleep; every 6 days breakfast was same, we expected the buffet style breakfast; every evening we had a problem with our keys to the room.

Great location. The view from my bedroom stunning looking over the Golden Horn. Very friendly and helpful personel. The room service also immaculate.

I stayed in 2 hotels in Istanbul and the breakfast here where it is all put on your plate on the table was a bit wasteful .I would have preferred to have selected my own fruit etc so that I didn't feel guilty about wasting it.

The personal service provided by Mr. Cem Erdal was excellent, without being "pushy". I felt that he truly wanted my stay to be enjoyable, trouble free and safe. He anticipated or responded to all of my needs. The view from my room was spectacular and the ancient location was charming. I thoroughly enjoyed the local street life - the produce stands, cafes, cobblestone streets, neighborhood cats... Breakfasts were interesting, delicious, and peaceful with wonderful views.

The room was very small. There was a sewage odor. The Saturday evening of my stay the restaurant was reserved for a loud party with dancing. It would have been appreciated if the hotel had informed the guests that it was to occur. I had planned to have dinner there and also had no idea when the noise would abate so that I could try to sleep.

I became ill and the staff very nicely let us stay a few extra hours after noon

The generator started working above our heads in the middle of the night and kept us awake. The staff promised they would not charge us for that night but reneged and charged us for a full night. The word of your staff is not dependable

Old style, good location, excellent view from the roof top.

The hotel is located on a square which is VERY noisy all night long. The construction work been done on the building next door begins early in the morning. The windows are poorly insulated in terms of cold and sound. The breakfast is mediocre.

Das Zimmer 108 (gebucht Deluxe Doppelzimmer) ist wunderschön. Sehr geräumig, ein wundervolles, großes, sehr bequemes Bett und eine sehr stilvolle Einrichtung. Leicht erhöhte Decken. Helles Zimmer. Das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls wunderschön. Highlight des Badezimmers ist die große ebenerdig begehbare Marmordusche, mit großen Glasschiebetüren. Der Frühstücksraum mit Dachterasse bietet einen wundervollen Blick über Istanbul. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für alle Aktivitäten. Die direkte Hotelumgebungung am Galataturm ist sehr gepflegt und wunderschön. Alles in allem würde ich das Hotel 100% weiterempfehlen.

Es gab kein Frühstücksbuffet, sondern jeden Morgen das gleiche Frühstückssortiment, serviert auf einem Teller. Es gab nur Instant Kaffee. Der Kleiderschrank in 108 ist etwas zu klein für Kleider von 2 Personen. Die Abflüsse im Badezimmer (108) haben einen unangenehmen Geruch verbreitet. Tipp: Lüften und Wasser überall eine Zeit laufen lassen und es riecht wieder gut. Der Aufstieg zum Hotel von der Galatabrücke könnte für Manche zu anstrengend sein. Vorsicht: Taxi zum Hotel geht nur über Atatürk Brücke. Diese Fahrt sollte sie meiner Meinung nach maximal 15 Lira kosten. Taxameter im Auge behalten. Die Jungs manipulieren gerne. Wenns trotzdem passiert, lassen sie sich dadurch nicht den Urlaub vermiesen.

Situation excellente et vue remarquable depuis la salle du petit-déjeûner. Chambre très confortable et literie parfaite.

Seul bémol, l'ascenseur était souvent en panne.

Die Lage ist nicht zu schlagen, wenn man mitten im Leben übernachten möchte. Die Dachterrasse ist unschlagbar.

Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer und das Reinigungspersonal (vergessen Handtücher zu wechseln, Minibar bzw. Kaffee wurde nicht aufgefüllt). Das Frühstück fällt jeden morgen gleich aus (auf einem Tablett fertig serviert)

Het hotel ligt in een hele prettige buurt.

L'accoglienza gentile e la disponibilità dello staff. La posizione ottima per base escursioni in città e vicinananza a Istiklal Caddesi. La straordinaria vista dalla terrazza su Bosforo e Corno d'Oro. L'ampiezza della camera e l'accuratezza dell'arredamento. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Sehr originelles Hotel direkt am Galataturm und zentral. Zur Seite zum goldenen Horn gute Aussicht. Zur Seite zum Turm relativ laut, das vor dem Turm viele junge Menschen sitzen und relaxen.

posizione splendida di fronte alla torre di galata e vicino a negozi e ristorante in una vivace area pedonale ho avuto una camera d'angolo la 305 con una bella vista su istanbul. Ristorante su terrazza con vista panoramica.

Εξαιρετική θέση, θέα στον βοσπορο από το δωμάτιο και από το εστιατόριο , όπου σερβίρεται και το πρωινό, πρόσβαση με τα πόδια σχεδον ΠΑΝΤΟΥ

Πολυ Βρώμικη η μοκεττα, βαρετό πρωινό, όχι κακό αλλα καθε μέρα το ίδιο-όχι μπουφέ.

Die Lage ist für eine Städtereise ideal, die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Frühstück ist dringend verbesserungsbedürftig. Es ist zwar alles sehr schmackhaft, aber jeden Tag der identisch bestückte Teller wird bei mehrtägigem Aufenthalt sehr schnell zum Ärgernis.

Immer die gleiche Musik zum Frühstück. Bei mehreren Übernachtungen etwas ermüdend.

Service im Restaurant und am Empfang sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Aussicht im Frühstücksraum umwerfend. Zimmer mittelmäßig, Bett gut, Schrank wackelig, Bad so lala.

Dusch-Bad und Toilette nicht geputzt, Toilette bei Ankunft sehr schmutzig. Bad auch am 2. Tag nicht sauber. Danach ging´s. Unser Zimmer war zur Seite hinaus gelegen und deshalb sehr dunkel, im Zimmer keine helle Beleuchtung möglich.

Great location, classic decorations with great respect for the historical building. Very good breakfast.

Personale disponibile e gentile, posizione comoda anche se non nel centro storico, piazzetta sulla quale si affiaccia l'hotel carina e silenziosa (siamo stati in marzo), camera silenziosa, letto comodissimo, vista dalla veranda della colazione a dir poco magnifica, vicinanza a Istiklal caddesi, lunga via pedonale piena di locali in cui andare a mangiare, rincasando a piedi all'hotel.

n.b. Sono tutti difetti che non hanno influito in alcun modo sulla qualità del soggiorno, in quanto trascurabili:camera sulla piazza un po' piccola per il prezzo e con panorama su riva asiatica, se chiedete la camera sul retro dell'hotel la vista dovrebbe essere su sultanahmet, odore nella camera, aria condizionata non troppo potente, colazione con scelta non vasta, gran salita per arrivare all'hotel dalla fermata del tram più vicina, il phon faceva una luce blu e perdeva piccoli pezzi metallici, porta del bagno scomoda da aprire e chiudere perchè passava a filo del lavandino e ti dovevi sempre spostare, in due un casino.
