In historic peninsula, just a few feet from the sea, Manesol Old City Bosphorus features rooms with modern design. All the rooms at the hotel has views of the sea as well.
Score from 175 reviews Very good
Just a 5-minute walk from the Hagia Sophia, this hotel features a rooftop terrace with views of Topkapi Palace and the Bosphorus. The air-conditioned rooms have free Wi-Fi.
Score from 30 reviews Exceptional
With a perfect location in the midst of Istanbul’s historic attractions, this hotel offers magnificent views of Hagia Sophia’s 4 minarets from its outdoor dining terrace.
Score from 263 reviews Very good
Combining Turkish and Byzantine architecture, Nena Hotel in central Sultanahmet is within walking distance of Blue Mosque, St Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Its rooftop restaurant offers Bosphorus views.
Score from 572 reviews Excellent
Excellent location to attractions, mostly within walking distance, tramway nearby. Yet hotel is very quiet. Nicely refurbished, clean and comfortable.
Rooms are quite small but this is a minor gripe
Many thanks for all personals .everything was very good. Thanks for your hospitality.
It was a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is fantastic as it is close to major attractions in the old city. However the staff do need further training as we have stayed in other hotels in istanbul with greater customer service.
Our experience was excelent. Its location is really convenient just 5 minutes walking from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, the breakfast good and the Spa (free for the hotel guests) was a wonderfull surprise specially after a "hard" sigthseeing day.
Location was great. Free bottle of water in the room. Staff was helpful Even though I have a lot in the dislike column, I would stay here again. It was great to stay so close to the old city And yes the rooms are small but I was prepared for that.
Breakfast was limited but ok. Wifi speed sucked I originally asked for a quiet room but was stuck next to the elevator. You can also hear conversations of other rooms coming out of the bathroom drains. Safe was broken Steam Room was broken
Staff was very friendly, most of them good speak English, clean rooms, good furniture and suitable beds, good sauna and swimming pool.
Very small rooms, sure much smaller as described on booking.com. Breakfast was very poor, white cheese looked as if it was on table since ages.
Manager, front desk and the whole staff are great. Helpfull and friendly. Breakfast is very good.
Very close walking distance to major sights. Felt safe walking at night and as well as during the day. Great value and location for our trip.
The hotel is located in a very convenient spot if you want to visit the monuments of the city. The breakfast was rich and the hotel was very clean.
The only thing that disappointed us was the fact that hamam and sauna didn' t work during our stay.
Wifi sometimes not stable...
If you plan on traveling to Istanbul and staying close to all the touristic action (Blue monque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, etc.) This is the place to be. The staff is very nice, the breakfast is good and overall is a good and not pricy option to stay in Istanbul.
If you are traveling with big luggage the rooms tend to be a bit small.
Personell was very friendly. We came to the hotel at 11am, but there were no problems with check-in. We had free entry coffee, and a rather interesting introduction to the city. My wife had birthday during the stay and they presented us a birthday cake - this was a great surprise. Room includes lots of small things, like toothpaste, shaver and free tee. There is a terrassa on the roof with a cool view. Wi-fi was not perfect, but was enough to do voice calls using skype.
Sauna and steam did not work, just do not count on it. Room is rather small.
What I really liked the most is the location. Most of the tourist places are walking distance from the hotel and the train is just across the streets.Staffs are very friendly and helpful. If I get a chance to travel to Turkey again I will definitely stay in this hotel.
Everything was perfect! Breakfast was really good, the stuff was very kind and they help us a lot!! The location is really good, Hagia Sofia is 5 minutes away by walking and tram station was 2 minutes away! Bed was very comfortable and the area wasn't noisy so we could sleep very well!! Room was also very clean and the bathroom was ok !
Rooms are a quite bit small but that wasn't a problem for us as we were outside all day to see the sightseeings!
Location, staff, breakfast is excellent. Cleanliness was superb. The front desk woman ,miss Fareda, was extremly helpful. The hotel was the best!
the room was spacious and clean the staff were very accommodating the breakfast spread was excellent they accommodated our early travel plans providing food for travel the location was steps away from everything
it was a bit expensive but very, very good
Everything was great: location the best one can imagine in Istambul, close to everything you need, good breakfast, very kind, helpful and professional service team.
Please do not recommend a dinner under Galata Bridge, it's a tourist trap.
The staff were very helpful in organizing dinner reservations and shows. They always greeted us with a smile and knew who we were.
Perfect location on a quiet street within walking distance to sights and tram stop for journey to and from airport; small but very well appointed and extremely clean room; good breakfast that was kindly served extra early on marathon day; very friendly and helpful staff.
Rather noisy, not just from the corridor, but also voices, TV and showers could easily be heard from rooms alongside and above. The spa was rather disappointing with a tiny fitness centre, a minuscule pool no bigger than a jacuzzi and a sauna that apparently worked perfectly but was marked "out of order" following a decision by the hotel owner...
Close to restaurants and top sightseeing spots.
Too weak light in the room for reading in the evening.
The beds were very comfortable and quiet rooms. Amazing huge breakfast that served until 10:30. Staff were always quick with any requests. We stayed 6 nights. We had an early flight so the kitchen made sandwich's to go. The bathrooms were well stocked with lotions etc. great location in old town. The front desk arranged for a boat tour on the Bospherous. Sehmooz at the front desk helped with our requests. A small grocery/ snack store is right outside for snacks for the room.
Nothing. It was a very pleasant experience and well priced. Rare that everything is so perfect esp for a hotel that isn't high priced. They have really considered the traveling tourist.
location, bed, spa, breakfast
room rather small
New hotel in a quiet side street, in the heart of Sultanahmet...a short stroll and we were in the absolute midst of everything. Cemberlitas Tram stop was not even five minutes away, and straight on from there the Grand Bazaar. In the other direction we had Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace all within five to ten minutes walk. An extensive choice of restaurants, bars, shops, exchange booths and more all here. Friendly, helpful hotel staff; great breakfast with extensive choices of hot and cold buffet, super-clean public areas, comfortable beds and excellent shower... Absolutely top!!!
The only negative was the size of the room....VERY Compact, but we had read all the reviews and knew what to expect!!!
Nice interiors and perfect location.
Smallish room and very low ceilings everywhere in the hotel - makes you feel claustrophobic. Walls are made of paper - you can easily hear your neighbours' conversations and when they take shower you think they are in you bathroom,
