Excellent location in the old city. Right next door to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque etc.
hotel staff was keen to sell some touring tickets and transportation service which might have some benefit for them, but seems not willing to tell true situation.
one staff, and the only one, who is in charge of the lobby bar and also acting as a porter (a little bit bald) , was extremely friendly and nice, his genuine and heart melting smile made me happy to stay in this hotel although the hotel itself is not impressive.
A fantastic location in the heart of the old city. Comfortable rooms with good wi fi facilities.
What was not mentioned by the travelers it is the sound damping of rooms. We hear the neighbors to discuss and even to take their shower. The discussions of the neighbors and the employees are heard too Mach. We left for honeymoon and it was a big inconvenience. I do not know if it is similar somewhere else but the kitchen and the room service close very early (9: 30 pm)
Very good location of the hôtel for Who want to visit old istanbul. We Hugh recommand it
ery kind and respective personals of the Hotel, it seems that we were home. Thank everybody!!!!
Location, kitchen, personal
Nothing, really, although it would have been good if proper juice was included in the breakfast offer.
The staff was kind and attentive, my room very well furbished and pleasant, services impeccable, and the hotel is centrally placed in the old city centre within walking distance to the main attractions, especially important when on a business trip with little time to sightsee.
rooms were quite small; breakfast room was quite crowed
Staff were warm, friendly and helpful Location was the best in Istanbul -- walk to many of the key sites, close to the tram and restaurants and shops
Small room. Slightly creaky floors. Shower didn't drain well. Busy location meant extra noise.
Great location right near Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and more. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast.
No complaints at all
Great location Really helpful and friendly staff Lovely Breakfast Comfortable Bed Good Wifi Connectivity
Room size; very tiny rooms for a double bed, no room to walk around, extra small lift, drinks and snacks in the room were not free and much expensive like double the price in the shop at the front of hotel.
Ideal location with transport links, great staff always ready to help and smile, good overall cleaning standards, good breakfast menu.
Supporting staff from the beginning until the end. Great view and great location.
-Breakfast in the hotel was a bit poor, so we decided to go out for breakfast more. There is at least 100 places to have breakfast within 5 minutes walk. -Soundproofing of the room doors would have made the experience 10/10, but we were still able to sleep.
-Friendliest hotel staff under 5* standard that I ever saw -Upon arrival, they sat down with us for 15 minutes to explain basic tours and things we should be careful about -The location is awesome -View directly on Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque from our balcony -Turkish massage is an experience not to be missed :) -Great recommendations for dining
Nothing, the room and service were great.
Excellent customer service from start to finish, really friendly front desk. Little touches that count, arranging a taxi to the airport and ensuring it was metered and you wont get ripped off, they have certain guys they use only. I am pregnant and they sent a fruit bowl to the room with a little note' to take care of baby'. We stayed in room 604 which had a balcony looking out over sophia Hagia/Cistern to the sea. Rooms are a tiny bit dated but they are clean with spacious bathrooms and everything you need including a nespresso machine. Fantastic location for the old town. Excellent value for the price. Would not hesitate to recommend. We moved here from the Dosso Dossi Hotel after a really disappointing stay (basically an attic room with no windows! truly terrible) and only wish we had moved sooner. For the price you pay at the Dosso Dossi you can stay in a balcony room with a view here.
the rooms are very small (tiny) no refill for coffee or tea (had to ask every day), no complementary water (which was a shock) the breakfast was very average, overall the place is designed for a solo or couple travelling not for a family and for the price you paying i recommend paying more and getting a better room / place to stay
Location for the Hotel was the only plus as it is 10mins walk away from the Blue Mosque and Hajia Sofia and around 20mins walk from the grand bazzar, however no taxi driver will drop you back to the hotel they will bring you close (around 10-15mins walk) the staff were helpful but not really friendly (apart from Arkan)....
Everything was great
Breakfast could have been better - coffee weak; fresh fruit juice was charged extra for; a toaster would have been nice. But these are minor quibbles
location friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast was chaotic. You need to get down early to get some!
Excellent location for the main tourist sites. Terrace lovely for a drink and view of Istanbul.
The only gripe I have is the bed was extremely hard.
The staff went out of their way to assist in any way they could. I love the Turkey people they are very warm and welcoming. I would recommend the Arden City Hotel to anyone thinking of going to Istanbul, many of the major attractions are in walking distance, eg, the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque just to name a few.
The room was small and smelt bad. Our room had a bad view, although we had requested for a room with a view. Furthermore, the elevator was not functioning for a whole day.
The location is perfect, near most of the important sights.
Very friendly staff, one of the best locations in Istanbul, will revisit the hotel if the chance will bring us back there
If you have plans to visit Istanbul and are short of time, this is the place to stay. You will be in short walking distance to every must see in the city. The room is clean, breakfast is great and personnel very helpfull. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Location was the best staff very friendly .
The size of the room is way smaller than you see on the pictures
