Location, architectural style and rooms' design, fixtures, comfort, well balanced returned value for the cost, food diversity and quality (breakfast)
The little mess on the restaurant's terrace but that's exactly one of the Istanbul's charm and fancy aspect.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
Little bit cramped with king size bed in queen size area
Location was great for main attractions in the old town and near to the tram to get to other places easily. People at the front desk were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of foods. The room was very clean and everything seemed new.
You could see into the bathroom from the beds. Ok if you're a couple but I was with a friend in single beds and don't want to see each other shower or go to the toilet.
Good location, very near to the blue mosque and aya sofia, 10 min walking distance from 2 tram stations, on a quiet street. The room was clean, nice decor. Wifi works well.
When we arrived they explained there were was no double room, though we had booked one, and put us in a terrible tiny room. We had to complain to change room, which was upseting. Apparently they did have a double room, but still much smaller than the pictures in Booking. For breakfast they charge extra for the orange juice, which we found outraging, in a city where a cup of fresh orange juice is just 1 turkish lira. The pillows were very hot and soft.
we loved the ambiance of the hotel especially the beautifully furnished lounge. The food in the restaurant and the breakfasts were the best we found on our travels around several parts of Turkey. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, especially when we were booking excursions and travel beyond Istanbul.
There was nothing we didn't like, at all.
Fantastic breakfast buffet Friendly and really informative staff Great location Great air con great shower Really clean Gorgeous entrance area to sit! beautiful furniture.
Staff are helpful. The turkish bath in the hotel was amazing!!!
The Staff, the breakfast, the room, the spa, and most important the location.
Wifi did not work in room
A great hotel for a great price! I was very pleased with the location and the price. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of variety and fresh fruits and vegetables. The walk up the hill every morning was steep, but coming down every evening was very rewarding and the surrounding hotels had a great rooftops for dinner. Don't waste your time with the main restaurants on the busy street when you could have a beautiful view if the terrace. We took the metro to the hotel in the morning and then took a taxi to the airport. It was 40TL at 3:30am.
Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful and nice.
We did not get the room that we saw on Booking website. It is slightly too expensive for what it was.
Rooms in the new building are recently renovated thus better. Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.
Wifi was not working in the new building.
Loved the old feel of the home. Very much loved the location with the lovely mosque just next door. Liked the personnel very much, very helpful and cheerful. Have been several times before.
Well there is always the problem of the call to worship -- really!!
2 min walk to the Blue Mosque and main attractions in Istanbul.
The WIFI kept dropping, so you needed to reconnect all the time.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Had a great stay !!
Nothing really - they could just maybe put irons in the rooms
I liked the exellent location, kind and friendly staff. The breakfast was nice.
The proposed us a small roof room without air-conditioner. So we had to open the small trangolar window to get some fresh air, but it was do noisy outside ( noice of ventilation system on the roof and dynamic with pray song in the night). Also it was a lot of dust in the corners. It seems like they forgot to hoover the room after previous guests.
We loved the family atmosphere at this hotel. Being seated upon arrival at desk and offered tea/coffee,being introduced to staff. Fantastic touch.Never experienced this before.Hugs from everyone when leaving. We REALLY felt like we were family. The presentation of the room was beautiful, breakfast range fantastic. Resturant great with Live music on Satudays.
Views from hotel into back yard of next door was pretty average, but overall it didn't make any difference with how happy we were with our stay and the balcony was a blessing anyway as my husband smokes so I could lock him out there. Squarking seagulls woke us up regularly, but you can hardly blame the hotel for that !!!! Nature is nature.
Location couldn't have been any better and the ambience was warm and cosy. The staff were always attentive and very helpful
Breakfast time was very busy and the WiFi was unreliable
Great location, staff very helpful. Had newly renovated room and it was lovely. Facilities all good. Bfast great.... Would stay again and highly recommended the Arena..
Meeting the grand son of original proprietor was a very pleasant and interesting experience.
Lovely friendly Staff, room was cozy and well decorated , I liked the quick response I had whenever I emailed , such as booking a car to pick us up from the airport , instant response . Perfect location .
Staff, breakfast, location
Superfriendly staff - very helpful and always smiling!! The location couldnt be better - close to the Blue Mosquet and Aya Sofia (just a few minutes walk from the hotell). Nice clean room.
It smelled of smoke in parts of the hotell, not very nice with cigarettesmoke when you are eating breakfust. Also - its just a thin glassdoor between bed and bathroom, so dont share room with somebody you dont know very well...
Nice decor with lovely fresh flowers and pleasant scents. Staff all very helpful without being overly attentive
Lighting in room very dim..made reading at night difficult. Temperature inside overly warm
The fabulous hotel staff who can't do enough for you. Near all main attractions and shops. We had an evening meal at the hotel and it was really lovely. Made a gorgeous cake for my son in laws bday.
Outside noise of screeching seagulls and noisy cats, not the hotels fault, but kept me awake. Decor a bit dark and faded in the old part of the building. New part very nice but small.
