Nice staff. Everything well organized. Room very nice. Breackfeast good. Goog view. Good location. Near restaurants and village center.
The property is a real cave and the associated ambience (unlike some properties in the area who claim to be cave hotel when they are not) Ahmet plays an excellent host (I am choosing the word host deliberately), he does make you feel as his guest. Goes out of his way to make us feel at home (should I say the cave) There definitely are other cave properties in the area and some probably may be better but the unique feature about Arif cave is Ahmet I would consider myself reasonably well travelled and I have never come across someone like Ahmet before, he clearly makes the experience at Arif cave wholesome
If I have to pick something (in this case I admit I am nit picking) they could expand the breakfast spread
The location of the hotel and the rooms and their views are really something special. Ahmet was very helpful in organising our transfers, helping with our balloon pick up as well as a last minute guide to take us around the sights. All of the staff were friendly and approachable. The continental breakfast would have to be one of the best I have seen anywhere.
The host guy is very nice. Since we didn't book the ballon in advance, the host managed to book it for us in the last minute. The hotel is so near to the sunset view point. It only take 5 minutes by walking. The host is a very nice and homourous guy. Anyway, if I can go back to Cappadocia, I will definitely choose Arif again.
Nice location, Great view, Comfortable room.
Great location,nice people
Everything! Ahmet was incredible!!! So friendly and helpful...made our stay unforgetable! An absolutely magical experience!!
Warm welcome and good treat during our stay although it was a short one.
If could offer private shuttle to hotel, it could definitely be better.
Great view and nice boss
Arif Cave Hotel is perched just below a major lookout. The views therefore are spectacular, particularly on a still morning or evening when hot air balloons crowd the skies, and when the sun sets and rises. It is a short, very interesting walk down to the town area, and a short, but steep walk back. The staff at the hotel were unfailingly friendly and helpful. We booked our airport transfers, tours (the Green Tour is almost mandatory) and a brilliant massage experience at the Candes s.p.a., through the hotel. Good advice was given as to what to do to make the most of being in the Capadocia region. When we were having internet connection issues, the hotel computer was given to us to use immediately. Breakfast is provided and is adequate. Our cave room was quaint! Why would you not stay in a cave in Goreme? It was warm and cosy, with good views. However a cave can provide wifi access issues, and though wifi was available, it was intermittent. There is an excellent restaurant about 30 metres away where you can watch the traditional flatbread being baked. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the Arif Cave hotel to visitors to Goreme.
You need to be fairly sure footed as there are many steps throughout the complex.
The owner was very helpful. Very close to everything.
The unique stay inside a fairy chimney, excellent view, location is close to anywhere.
No curtains or something to cover up bathroom, bathroom is open concept
The staff is exceptionally warm and helpfull. The room was exactly as we had seen on the website before making the booking. The room was in cave, close to nature with its rustic look and perfect ambiance. Everything was amazing.
Lovely hotel and feel comfortable. Especially Ahmet he could satisfy our requests when we needed him for assistance.
The location is great, from the terrace you have a view of the city and the mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good! They even have separate toilets and shower you can use even if you have checked out and before you go to your next destination! Tipw: if you go in couple try top get room 8, is the best one, with a separate room to have a view of the city. You won't regreat it!
I liked it all.
Very nice and helpful Staff Superb view Authentic rooms
Hotel staff are very helpful & friendly. Provided us with useful informations around town. Hotel located just up a hill beside the town, enable you to get a great scenic view. Breakfast was nice.
Walking back to the hotel will be a challenge if you have walking difficulty.
1) Great location – sunset and perfect night view from terrace 2) Ahmet and the staff were very friendly- arranged pick-up shuttle and balloon tour, gave a ride to bus terminal 3) The cave room was clean, spacious and beautifully furnished
a very nice hotel with good location，very close to the top point.Staff is nice and willing to give help.
The view over the town from the hotel room, the temperature of the room in the heat of the day,the casual and efficient staff and the interest they had in you to ensure you were well looked after.
The breakfast could have been a bit more varied.
Arif cave is located at the highest point in Goreme which gives you a beautiful panoramic view of the city and an amazing sunset scene. They have a wonderful terrace with comfortable chairs and tables which I enjoyed sitting there with my family everyday. The city centre is 5 mins away only. I booked two rooms there and each one has a different beautiful design with nice lighting effects. The staff is remarkably friendly and they welcomed us there as if it were our house and they made our stay more than awesome. They helped us to book the tours and gave us their recommendations where to eat or where to go. Staying at Arif cave hotel has enhanced my experience in Goreme.
I noticed that the cleaner did not clean the room completely and left some parts uncleaned.
Before speaking about this hotel, let's premise two important things: do not travel to Goreme in August (it's deadly hot) and reserve a shuttle from the airport to the hotel because there are no public busses. Pros: the panoramic position and the kindness of the staff were the two main positive aspects. We reserved the "large fairy chimney room", spacious and furnished. The armchairs looking at the panorama were romantic. At night you can sit on the hotel's terrace drinking a tea and looking at the stars.
Cons: not liveable during summer because the room was westwards and sun used to heat it from noon onwards and there was no air conditioning. Of course, being in a cave, the room hasn't got any shape or blind on the windows. Besides the heat, this makes light to come in the room from 5am. Moreover the close mosque has a minaret from where muezzin shouts also at 4 in the morning every day, and it lasts for four minutes!! It's a natural alarm and summed to the early morning's lights, make your sleep very problematic. So you will need to close the windows the evening before. There is this sort of trade off between insomnia and heat: you can choose one of them just by opening or closing the windows.
It was truly a unique experience living in a cave. The staff was friendly and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked very well. Ahmet, the manager, was a great help in making my stay an enjoyable experience. He set up a complicated day trip to the Sultan marshes, picked me up when I got lost hiking in the heat and found a nice accommodation for me when I had to stay longer because of illness. Thanks for being a great host!
Loved staying in a cave room, being so close to the sunset point and having such great views! The bed was comfy and I slept well, shower and facilities were great Breakfast was great and the staff were on hand to help with your every need
Tea and coffee in the room was not replaced once during my 4 night stay You can get better deals on tours and balloon tides than if you book with them
Perfectly situated above the town, the multiple terraces provide a great viewing platform for the daily balloon fest! The staff are friendly and helpful and our large cave room was very comfortable- just mind your head coming out of the bathroom!
