Very convenient, only about 10 min walk to all the sights in Sultanahmet. If you can get a room high enough (ie 6th floor) you can get the view of the Bosphorous. Breakfast was good, and included in the rates. Early check in was also possible which we were really grateful for after a long overnight flight. The rooms were relatively clean, and for the price and location we were satisfied. The airconditioner didnt work in our room. Fortunately, as we were right by the sea, we had the breeze when we opened the windows so it wasnt too hot.

The location Ive seen 2 star hotels with better rooms. Still air. Used cotton earbuds under the bed sheet, cigared burns all over the room, carpet burns and stains. Things they could do better: Tv. Chanels- weird is the word Price: really? Many better hotels in the area and cheeper. Lobby is quite fine but they could loose the kitsch fake flowers and make mor money if you charge less for the water and other drinks.

Clean, good location and price, good breakfast included. Our pre-arranged airport transfers did not show up, either to or from the hotel. We arrived on a very late flight so were not happy, and then had to get a taxi which was more expensive. The return transfer to the airport was booked for 4.30am and pre-paid. When it did not arrive at least the hotel rang a taxi for us and paid for it. Overall, very inconvenient and a waste of time for the hotel to offer airport transfers.

The hotel is located in a very central point. Quick acces to most interesting places through a few minutes walk. The view to Bosporus is magnificent, day and night, provided one gets a room on the upper floors.

Good location, close to the tram and ferryboat station. The front rooms, in the upper floors have view of the Bosphorus, Galata and Golden Horn. Excellent 360o, panoramic view, from the terrace. Free closed parking. Free Wifi. Generally helpful staff. Difficult approaching for car travelers. Breakfast included in the rate but it is poor with the cheapest quality. The rooms are small and relatively clean. Old and tired furniture and carpet. Spots on the floor. No safe in the room. The suite is not a true suite, but a 2 chamber family room (for 4 persons) and has only one bathroom. One chamber is totally blind and dark without window or balcony. We asked non smoking room and get smoking because all the “suites” are smoking rooms with ash trays and smoke odor. Bathroom fixtures are old and relative dirty. The sink in one bathroom was cracked and in the other plugged with hair. There was only high shower. No plug or hangers. 3 towels for 4 persons in the family room. The hotel needs renovation The price is high for their services.

Location is not convenient taxi could find a place, so mostly you have to walk long distance to the Hotel. Also noise in the rooms from other rooms, so we couldn't sleep at all. Finally, pictures of the rooms are totally different from the reality!

Competitive price, excellent location The worst thing was that I was not given the early wake-up call I was promised. Other things I missed were a safe and a plug for the bath.

The hotel is old, needs renovation desperately. We had a room on the 6th floor, room # 609. It had a balcony(tiny), but had a million $ view. We were looking at Golden Horn bridge, Galata tower, and Bosporus bridge. The view made us turn our eyes blind to other deficiencies in the room and hotel. The breakfast was acceptable, with decent varieties. The location was absolutely excellent. 5 minutes walk to Serkeci Tram Station. The hotel terrace was excellent for a happy hour beer, with a fantastic 360 degree views. Yes, I will go back. Ask for a room from 602 to 609 which faces the water. The condition of hotel, carpet, bathroom fixtures, all need upgrades. The hotel claim that they have wireless in the room, but the router is at the reception and does not carry signal to to rooms. In the lobby, wireless works perfectly, and it is free. If you willing to overlook all the negatives and settle for the view, then this is your hotel. I paid $100/night, but once, it is remodeled, expect to pay for over $300/room on the 6th floor.

The only good quality of Askoc hotel is the central location. The hotel is a disaster, from all points of view. The price is extremely high for their services and it is simply a bad option.

Good location - in the city center, very close to Gulhane park, Topkapi Palace, Aya Sophiya and Blue Mosque. Hotel is located near the train station, but this did not make a lot of noise (trains are rather silent). Breakfast is typical turkish breakfast (cheese, boiled eggs, omelette, sausages, olives, tomatos, cucumbers, water melon, biscuits, burek) There is building construction just in front of the hotel, mainly it is done at the daytime, but one day they even worked at night. And this made a lot of noise (if you want to sleep with open windows). With closed windows it was ok.

The location of this hotel is its main advantage. It's 10 min away from the Sophia and Blue Mosques, and 5 min away from the ferries departuring to the Asian side. Ask for the room with the view on Bosphorus (3rd floor and higher) and you will never regret. It's spectacular. Things to keep in mind: the room is quite minimalistic, you may also find spots on the floor (which did not bother me at all), there is a construction site 20 meters away from the hotel (they try to be quiet at night and my sleep was not disturbed) and a railway station between the hotel and the embankment. The rest was absolutely acceptable and corresponded to the price level. I liked staying there Floor could have been cleaner; for breakfast, which is included, they offer the cheapest things possible (e.g. juices and coffee were hardly drinkable).

Location is very good, views at the Bosphorus excellent. Breakfast can improve... The hotel needs a huge renovation, however because the location views and the staff make feel good being there. Internet woks perfect: in the rooms and lobby, they have a parking under the hotel which is not common in this area. They ask me to pay the 7 days I book in the check in, Amex did not work... Visa ok. The way how the ask to be paid was not polite....Works in front of the hotel, (building new metro line), street is dusty and difficult to get there at the first time as many streets around are block.

The hotel has a good location to famous historical places. Also this hotel has a good view on the sea. The staff very frendly and professional. The old furniture in the rooms, the room is small and there are not modern sanitary engineering. I suppose the real price for this hotel should be 50-60 euro. It is really correspond of quality accommodation.

The location is very good for exploring the main sites of historical Istanbul. Walking distance to tram station, train and sea transportation. If you are traveling by car, the location is quite hard to aproach. Recent public works in front of the hotel make parking difficult but not impossible. Anyway Istanbul is always crowded and traffic is a nighmare.
