Asmali hotel is in a fantastic location. It was very close to the Blue Mosque in a nice neighborhood. We walked a ton of places and took trollies and public transport easily for locations further away. The family room accommodated 4 people very well and the hotel was super helpful with anything we needed (including parking, laundry, and recommendations). The area was quiet at night.

My second year purchasing this exact same hotel during holidays in Istanbul. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The location is in the heart of Istanbul with a great view at the Marmara Sea and Bosphorus canal. I would highly recommend and I will be visiting this hotel back again in the future.

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, very welcoming and accommodating staff! Well stocked room/mini fridge, decent bed (always subjective), good breakfast (again subjective), fabulous rooftop terrace overlooking the city and harbor. Wonderful (much needed) jet tub- as advertised. Neat vintage building with character and warmth which, along with the staff, made for a welcoming, "at home feel" stay and experience. Great location with shops, restaurants, mini markets right there without feeling "touristy". Convenient to public transportation and taxi stand right down the street if needed. Is about a 20 minute leisurely walk to the "heart" of the bazaar street shops. Unfortunately, my stay in Istanbul was short and rushed, but, should I find myself there again, would not hesitate to stay at Asmali again. the breakfast was like it was somebody s birthday everyday, so many choices both with main dishes or salads as with sweet home made treats. loved it, great surprise. the terrace is so close to the sea you could smell the salt, the seagulls are all around, the ships are all over the bay, it's beautiful. and on a stormy day, the colours of the see are amazing, while you just have breakfast and enjoy the show of the beginning of the day. And of the world! The staff is so helpful, so empathic, so friendly and they speak English!

We stayed in the suite on the top floor. Thankfully the hotel receptionist carried our luggage up and down the stairs and came up to our room when needed. Breakfast was good - plenty of options and beautiful rooftop terrace. Receptionist also helped us plan our outing to the beach.
