Location Small hotel Calm enviroment
Basement room Poor quality No sunlight Poor ventilation Bad breakfast
Breakfast is good. Staff is very co-operative. Location is at a walking distance from marketplace, restaurants & monuments. Wi-fi quality is excellent. Although the rooms are too small, they are very clean & decent. Overall - very goog experience.
The room size ! But at the old city, you can't expect more.
location, people kind and helpful, quiet, good breakfast
quite expensive ( room is very large but difficult with a couple and kids to have own intimity)
friendly staff and owner AC works at room Clean rooms welcoming tea and free tea any time at lounge. really helpful staff when asking information about places to go.
we didnt get a room what we booked for three. first night was at awesome suite room, with beautiful bathroom. Only thing that one of us (3) need to sleep on the armchair what was made for bed. Second and third night we were at other side of street at two different rooms. Mine was comfortable but bathroom facilities were poor. There were dirty plates at breakfast NO filter coffee
Room size which is totally different in booking.com ad.
We booked an apartment for 4 and found out on premise is was in another building around the block. In the end it was fine and maybe even a little quieter than main building. Breakfasts were good and staff was very eager to help us out anyway they could. Great location for walking in Sulthanamet.
The second bed in the apartment is small for 2 teenagers.
Staff are cooperative and they act friendly, specially Mr. Mehmet Gumrah. Location is perfect. Quality of sleep is good.
Breakfast was very simple, it could be better. Wi-fi signal is weak and Internet is slow.
Tarik upgraded our double room to a highly facilitated suite for our 3 night prepaid stay when we were unhappy with our room being at the front of the hotel which was being painted at the time so we were very pleased although it was dark and could do with a repaint too. He also provided us with a map and instructions on how to get to places and was always eager to help. So thanks to Tarik and Greg (who engaged us in lively English conversation) and all - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- good position near the center
- The room is very small - Bad breakfast - not so clean
The staff was exceptional, butTarikh was an excellent host and went far beyond the expected hotel staff. He assisted us with all of our needs - tour guides which was phenominal and grw up in Instanbul so she knew all the great spots to see, he offered every night to pick us up from town if the walk was too far, we had too much to drink, or we were lost. He regulary checked on us to make sure our stay was great. The apartments we stayed in across the hotel was so nice..I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful, quiet area, but still near all the main sites.
Humble, nice, ready to help and professional staff.
At least fried, omelette or scamblled eggs be included in the buffet breakfast
Great location, friendly helpful staff, very comfortable apartment with a balcony. Highly recommended.
Kind and hospitable staff, nice and quiet location, clean and cozy rooms.
Cannot find anything.
Walking distance from the Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia. Very warm staff, helpful! Breakfast is decent and the rooms are good for two people. Could get crowded for three people.
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The staff was so helpful in answering all of our questions, and never seemed rushed in their answers. They arranged our daily tours, had an excellent breakfast, and seemed happy that we were there as their guests. Very wonderful staff!
Because our my limited mobility, the hill leading up to the hotel was challenging; but this was no fault of theirs.
Tarik a reception is a fantastic representation of Istanbul hospitality.
Charming, spacious room in a charming, intimate hotel on a charming, picturesque street. And all of the major sights just a few minutes' walk from the hotel! Staff was excellent, breakfasts were delicious, and rooftop bar was an afternoon delight. Hotel definitely lived up to its online ratings.
It was a short walk to the main sights. Staff was pleasant. Good breakfast setup.
Inconsistancy in the way beer was charged. First and second days was one price while owner was sitting and chatting with customers, when owner wasn't around I was charged a higher price. Didn't make a big deal about it. Just didn't tip the last day
The staff was fabulous as they always tried to make us comfortable. They offered us a cold drink when arriving at the hotel after visiting touristic attractions. They gave us good directions of restaurants and the best way to get to various places.
I didn't like that we weren't accommodated in the main hotel or across from it when we first got there. We were sent to the third floor of an apartment house. We had to go up three flights of steps after walking a very steep street to get to it. When we told the front desk staff about our difficulty of getting there, we were immediately changed to a very comfortable room on the first floor of the main hotel. The only suggestion for the room we were in is to put a shower curtain so the whole bathroom wouldn't get wet.
The management & staff are friendly
Cleaning service was not great, the TV and internet was not very good.
Good location and excellent staff
Lack of a lift. Staff assisted with luggage
I like the location of the hotel, walking distance to major sites. The hotel staff was very professional and accommodating, they cater to our special needs. Hotel staff very helpful with directions around town. Spoke English. The room was clean. Daily cleaning services was available.. I would definitely use this hotel again.
The service is exemplary. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and assist in every way to make your stay perfect. The location to attractions is perfect. We highly recommend the Ayosofya Hotel in Sultanahmet.
Staff was nice.
They never told me before. They brought me to another apt room. Three blocks away. I had to drag my luggage all way up by my own. (75 years old). Other than that, all was OK. We were eight. Only two had to stay separate. And, early next morning 5 including me had to get together at the main hotel to pick up a mini van to the airport. What a mess!
The hotel is located quite near Blue Mosque, bathroom was new and the breakfast was quite nice. The photographer of the hotel masters the photoshop (the rooms are smaller then on photos) I recommend this hotel is you prefer the location rather then comfort.
Apartment was located in the basement, the door of the shower cabin fell down, apartment wasn't located in the hotel and we had to walk to hotel when we had breakfast which was unconvinient when it was raining. The kitchen was filthy.
