Was greeted by a nice receptionist who gave us a brief introduction about Selcuk. Also got on the free shuttle to Ephesus. Hotel had great interior deco. As we were a family of 4, we were given a room with a private balcony that overlooks the castle.
Hotel rooms are not soundproof. The staff at rooftop restaurant wasn't very welcoming towards greeting our family with professionalism and warm hospitality. We felt slightly offended, but did not let it affect our trip.
Quaint B&B located on a hill overlooking the town center of Selcuk. Great location, very nice staff and wonderful roof-top restaurant.
Our room overlooked the stork nests (a plus) but was along the main road to St. John's Cathedral, used not only by large tourist buses but also tractors!-- very noisy even late at night.
Right across from St John Basilica Close to town and bus station Staff were helpful
Bed was ridiculously hard and uncomfortable - and I never worry or complain about beds! Unfortunately there was an electricity and water outage when I stayed so no shower available (this was town wide however not unique to the Hotel)
Perfect location. Right across the street from St. John's Basilica, one block from town square, and very close to Ephesus. Terrific rooftop terrace - with wonderful breakfast.
bathroom was on the small side.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner we had in the rooftop restaurant was very good. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable.
Rooms were cramped.
The Hotel staff made you feel like you were at home. The Hotel is centeral located and they will give you a free ride to Ephesus and back.
Fabulous location across the street from St. John's Cathedral, 10 min drive to the entrance to Ephesus. Selcuk is a much nicer place to stay when visiting Ephesus than the crowded, touristy sea town of Kusadasi. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with a nice rooftop restaurant. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small, but enough for what we needed, and the staff was great.
The hotel is so quaint and beautifully decorated, I loved sitting up on the terrace overlooking the ruins and the castle, literally across the road. The staff were very accommodating and informative. Owner Erdal drove me to a nearby town on my first day Sirince, which was definitely a highlight. I was also driven to Ephesus at the perfect time to beat the crowds and picked up later all for free.
Although transportation was for 'free', I do believe that nothing really comes for free. I was not in the market to buy a carpet and although I was not hard selled, I felt like I was should be obligated, this could be perception though. I did not buy a carpet but I did not want to leave without contributing to fuel. My room was very small and it did have a musty smell, but for a short stay this was fine and the terrace always made a great alternative for an afternoon escape.
Staffs are quite nice, and the location is very good.
The room is a bit small.
Very good location. 5 minute walk to bus and train stations. 10 minute drive to Ephesus. Hotel provide free transportation to sites. Beautiful terrace and good breakfast. The lady from New Zealand is very nice and helpful.
The Location was great it was walking distance to some of the places we wanted to go to. The St John's Basilica is a place you need to see. The hotel has a shuttle bus to take you to Ephesus for free. The hotel staff was good and the meals were good.
Loved it, only one night but the staff were so friendly we managed to so everything. Well worth it!
This was a beautiful little hotel with a gorgeous rooftop restaurant. Our host arranged a private tour guide for Ephesus and drove us there. The decor was lovely and the location was perfect, close to shops, Ephesus and St. John's Basilica.
We had a horrible sleep, from was hot, beds uncomfortable and we could hear crying children through the floor. Rooms were small but who cares about that head up to the roof if you need space. The owner seemed a lot less nice once he thought I would not buy in his store and the server in the restaurant seemed like he had had enough of people, besides that it was great and I would recommend it.
English speaking staff was cheerful and helpful. Shuttle to top of Ephesus site and meeting us later at the bottom. Terrace restaurant and lounging area was perfect after a day of touring. Dinners were tasty and reasonably priced. Provided maps and suggestions of local places of interest. The decor was perfect Turkish and charming.
Room was a bit cramped but that came with the perfect location.
Very nice room with old Osman style, location is quite good, right beside castle of St. John and 10 minutes walk to main square and train station. Reception lady is very nice to provide lots of information to visit nearby and hotel has free shuttle to Ephesus every day
Room price is a little expensive than others, dinner is recommended in hotel terrace with cheaper price than restaurants in downtown, however it is almost the same price or more expensive. Since we just stay for 1 night and when we leave at 12pm, the staff is quite impatient to blame us all the way not checking out before 11am and leave key at front desk and threat to charge another full day, however it is never mentioned to us on the day before when we check in. This really make me very uncomfortable
Nice Position Excellent staff (the owner speak english perfectly) Comfort Wi-Fi
Only the breakfast can be improved
very nice building the hospitality is excellent sight from the restaurant terrace is amazing
the budget room is very small and the level of confort is poor
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time at Bella Hotel. The staff are all incredibly nice, and very flexible - they drove us to Ephesus and picked us up when we were done, helped us book a bus for our travel to Bodrum, and generally were around to help and answer questions whenever we had them. The roof patio has a gorgeous view of the Ayasoluk Castle and Basilica of St John, and the very reasonably priced prix fixe dinner on the roof is a must. Finally, the location is excellent - literally across the street from the Basilica, around the corner from the Isabey Mosque, and a block from town.
The room was somewhat minimalist, but honestly, what are you doing spending a ton of time in your room in this gorgeous small town? I need to fill characters so I'll mention the other tiny negative - the walk up the hill to the hotel is somewhat steep, and riddled with small carpet shops trying to snare you into their stores, which is a little exhausting.
location, restaurant, free shuttle to Ephesus and other places, friendly staff.
We bought a rug at the hotel store and was told it would be mended before it was shipped to our address. This was not done. Otherwise the rug is beautiful. The beer was overpriced at the restaurant.
The location is wonderful. Close to Enphesus and the guesthouse also offers shuttle bus. Room is small but very cosy and I love the balcony a lot.
The staff at Bella Hotel were wonderful. Somehow our reservation had been lost, but they shuffled stuff around to make room for us. The location is excellent - at the top of a little hill right across from an old ruin, only 2 minutes into town. They offered a free shuttle to Ephesus and had great recommendations for things to do in the area (like going to Milli National Park, which was beautiful!) Highly recommended.
The beds weren't super comfortable.
Service is nice and good postion. Good food at restaurant anf for breakfast
room was incredibly small and uncofortable. The room was somehow smelling but not suitabe to open the window due to other rooms air conditioning engine just in front.
Friendly and very efficient staff. Great atmosphere. Fantastic terrace. Great Turkish/Ottoman decor. Nazmi was a fantastic and generous host, who provides a quality service. Great shopping in the hotel, with quality products, art pieces, carpets and antiques. Location is perfect, and the transfer to Ephesus and guide were great.
There is noting not to like.
This was an amazing surprise to find this gem in this area. The staff more than friendly and so helpful we felt like family. They could not have done more to make our stay as great as it was and as for the lovely meals in the evening on the roof terrace - just what we wanted after a full day on the go.
Welcoming, helped sort out money related problem, terrace restaurant, tourist information, English spoken
