I liked the attention to our needs by the owner Berk and the staff, even though the staff's English was extremely limited. The hotel is situated on the river and the atmosphere is relaxing and chilled. They also have a great pool to laze in. Breakfast is good.

The rooms which do not have the whirlpool are not ideally located (feels a bit like a hospital) but their interior are pleasant. The hotel recommended a spa which was possibly the worst experience of our lives - filthy and terribly service. The hotel are also limited on drinks in the bar (but if you ask for specific drinks they do try to arrange to get it for you). If you do not like oily breakfasts the omelettes are extremely oily so rather go for the boiled or fried eggs.

The location by the river is perfect and we always enjoyed the healthy Turkish breakfast and then chilled out with coffee on the riverside deck, just relaxing in the shade. 10 minute walk into town, so the hotel is in a quiet area which is perfect for us.

The wonderful owners, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful location right on the river overlooking the tombs. Great rooms, very well equipped and very nicely decorated - the upstairs rooms with their own terrace are especially nice!

Nothing. The free breakfast could be a bit better and the hotel doesn't really do food, but so many great restaurants nearby it's not an issue at all.

The owners are wonderful, and will help you out with everything. You wil. Find a small shop and cosy restaurants a few minutes away.

We enjoyed the lovely outdoor/pool areas. Great view of tombs across the river from breakfast area & our room was very comfortable & spacious.

Only areas that could do with improvement are reception personability and breakfast selection.

The location was excellent, just a few minutes stroll to lots of excellent local restaurants. We shall return!

Finding the location of The Berg was not easy. Also leaving Dalyan by car we saw no signposts to Dalaman. Should be rectified.

A fabulous location within easy reach of local shops, restaurants and attractions. The family who own the hotel are friendly and have a good understanding of what guests require. 'Mum' is an outstanding cook and we had several great meals there including a BBQ.

The hotel is small and we were fortunate that most of the guests were peace seeking and respectful. This changed on our last day and we felt lucky that we didn't have to share the intimate space with loud and self promoting individuals.

Our stay at the Berg Hotel was fantastic. We came for 6 nights r and r before heading to Istanbul and we had a lovely relaxing stay. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and will point you in the right direction for day trips etc. They went above and beyond by coming to meet us in the middle of Dalyan at 1am because we got lost in our hire car!! (Be warned, if you hire a car, Dalyan is very difficult to find yur way around - there are no obvious street names, and the sat nav won't always help as a lot of the central roads through Dalyan are closed at night. It's worth downloading a decent map of the town and working out a route through that bypasses the centre. In fact I would go so far as to advise against hiring a car at all, we only realised when we got there tha most places nearby are best accessed by boat and we were very put off by our initial experiences of driving here so didn't attempt going much further!) The breakfast was absolutely fine standard buffet fare, with the option of eggs. A highlight of the stay was the complementary afternoon tea and baklava that was served - nice to come back to after a day at the beach! I would also really recommend eating here at the hotel as well - we did this on two nights but wish we had done it more because we didn't really find any great restarants in Dalyan itself. We had some lovely flavoursome meat and fish - simple but tasty and a nice antidote to the chips-with-everything Brit-pleasing meals you will find at most of the restaurants in town. The location is, as others have mentioned, not in the centre of Dalyan and therefore is nice and quiet, out of the way of the restaurants, bars and larger hotels. It is only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Dalyan at most - not as far as some reviewers on here would lead you to believe!

A super little hotel in a super location. We were made welcome from the moment we stepped through the doors and were very well looked after. The breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon teas by the pool were divine. The river taxi will pick you up on the dock of the hotel and take you to the beach and if you fancy being a little more energetic you can borrow the little rowing boat and row over to the tombs yourself!

Very nice, small hotel in really great location - just in front of the famous Lycian tombs. Comfortable, big, nicely decorated rooms. Super helpful team. Breakfast just on the lake with the Lycian tombs view. Ah, le bonheur.

This was by far the best hotel I stayed in during my 12-day road trip around the Turkish coast, in the price category of 40-70 euros! Very clean and modern rooms, excellent service, beautiful location right across the rock tombs. The breakfast was also a lot better than in other hotels of the same category.

We loved the position on the river, the outstanding views (probably the best in Dalyan) from the terrace from where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The view from the terrace at night is mesmerising watching the reflection of the tombs and the rest of Dalyan on the tranquil river. The décor, design and furniture, both in the rooms and in the outdoor public space are chic and are of good quality. The owners and staff are very professional and are very friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much for doing my laundry for no charge. Thanks to Kelly for being so attentive. The first floor rooms are very attractively furnished and are very bright they all have a very large balcony with both sun loungers and table and chairs ,lovely to sit on for an early morning cup of tea (made from the facilities provided by the hotel ) and a sun downer before dinner. The shower rooms are very elegant and attractive. Our room was directly above the generator, we did NOT hear any noise from it. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean.

We are both non smokers, unfortunately there were some guests who were inconsiderate to non smokers, they wrongly believed that by smoking outside in the close proximity of other guests was acceptable.( They did not smoke inside as this is unlawful in Turkey ) Our breakfast was spoilt twice by the same guests placing themselves on a table close to us (we were obviously eating) and proceeding to chain smoke and march up and down the deck chatting loudly on the phone, smoking and indiscriminately flicking cigarette ash which blew in our direction and that of our food. It would have been nice if they had gone elsewhere to do this. If the hotel could provide a separate designated smoking area and request that guests do not smoke on the breakfast terrace or by the pool then this hotel would be faultless

This charming hotel is right on the estuary with a charming courtyard. The rooms are beautifully appointed and staff more than helpful with recommendations of places to eat, they ordered a boat which collected us from the jetty in front of the hotel. It was more than we expected - the location is superb and peaceful and decor is first class.
