Design they are better than best Western Citadel hotel they told me you destroyed furniture and I payed 250 TL for that may be because they want to take money to transfer me to Ata turk airport and I told them give the table because I payed it's cost I don't know why they do like this The best hotel i tryed was Hilton bosphorus in Taksim area they give good discount and also the grand trabia they upgrade me from delux room to sea view sweet because I found insect in bathroom صرصار with noisy sound but the problem kit is far away from services and downtown like Taksim and ortakoy and also I stayed in Taba luxury suite it was good but bad location also Hilton is the best dealing but booking does not have good discount with them Citadel good location like Kalyon hotel Ortakoy princess hotel is also good nd good relation

Location is diffecult to reach and Ac need maintenance or modification or increase Ac units in suits the rooms are small when you open the door any body sleeping can be seen because of design and small area Citadel hotel is good location specially room 501 but

It was the best hotel we ever stayed at. I liked everything about it: atmosphere, food, room, quietness, décor, especially the staff - many thanks to Mr. Ercan, who helped with our wedding and was most kind. Thanks to all the staff as well.

Relaxed venue, good breakfast, excellent location for city etc.

The late night noise from the football pitch was very disturbing after a tiring day of delightful sightseeing

The selection of the dishes for breakfast was excellent and the personnel at the bar kind. This cannot be said for the reception desk.

Hotel has standard rooms which are for the 4 star hotel absolutely too small. Bed is shorter than average so my husband’s lags (and he is 185 cm) were in the middle of the only path between my side of the bed and the exit. So I had to push him every time I was passing by. Bed is old and of bad quality. The exchange is absolutely needed. I had the feeling that I sleep with bugs in the bed. I would not recommend this hotel.

In the heart of the old town, 10 min walk to trams and most of the big sights. Great rooftop terrace and a 'wee' pool to cool off in after a hards days sightseeing.

Staff and breakfast. I would put Errol; Maître d'hôtel , at the top of my list. Errol's hosptality, availblity and knowledge were greatly appreciated by all in my party.

The rooftop terrace had beautiful views. Bottled water supplied every day. Location was quite good for the main attractions but there is a hill and it is at the bottom of the hill!

Although there was an impressive selection of dishes for breakfast, the quality of many of them was poor, eg the fruit juice. The Service at breakfast was also poor, they brought a serving trolley around to collect dirty plates and noisily scraped them infront of the guests. The WiFi was none existant on the 3rd floor but we did manage to get it on the ground floor and we had access to a computer to check-in. On arrival the receptionist told us that she had changed our room to a quieter one at the back of the hotel which was very thoughtful of her. Unfortunately there was an inch gap under the door and our room was beside the cleaning staff room so at 7am you could hear them getting the trolley which was parked just outside our room (together with a fold down bed and old Sofa). Outside was very quiet as our room was beside a side street but you could hear the people in the rooms beside us coughing, the extractor fan in the bathrooms and kids voices early in the morning. I asked for earplugs but never got them. There was a thick layer of dust on the bedside tables and above the TV. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. Beware of the lovely pictures of the Spa swimming pool. It is tiny and definately not for swimming in. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

Good breakfast. The staff was friendly.

The room turned out to af footballstadium with noise until midnight. The terrasse was never open. There was too long to walk every day to the tram. The room was rather hot even if the weather was not warm.

I stayed in the family room and this was large and spacious. Buffet breakfast was good enough with a selection of Turkish and continental breakfast items. Location was excellent only 10 mins walk to main attractions.

I paid more for extra amenities advertised at this hotel but once I got there this was not the case. The swimming pool was not a swimming pool but more of a cold water plunge pool for use after sauna. The fitness centre consisted of 1 running machine 1 recumbent bike and 1 mini stepper like the ones you use at home...not impressed and not something I'd call fitness centre! There was no terrace or garden restaurant in use as it was run down and a little derelict.

This hotel was in easy walking distance of the main Old Town resorts - Blue Mosque etc. It was a clean well kept hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great breakfast was provided every morning.

Our room was small - we got used to it but from the photos on the web we were expecting a larger room. The area was close to the old town but in a slightly shabbier area than others. The roof terrace was in bad condition and the pool ( one of the main reasons we booked this) was tiny - about 3 m by 3m! To be fair we didn't try the other Spa facilities which may have been ok.

Location: within walking distance of most premier sites Very good, varied and full breakfast

No cab driver can find the hotel; they have to call the reception desk first in order to get directions...cost us money and time 'educating' cab drivers

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel delivered just what we wanted for a 4 night visit to see the sights of Istanbul.

One tiny thing - the juice was very poor at breakfast which was a shame when there was such a great choice of fresh produce at the buffet
