The hotel breakfast was without doubt the best we experienced in Turkey.
May 9, 2015
Liked the pool, sauna and steam room. Hotel within a reasonable walking distance to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, longer walk to nearest tram. Staff helpful in booking tours, with tours picking up from the hotel.

We checked out within one hour of checking in - the neighborhood was rough
May 4, 2015
receptionist was very welcoming, arranged a room even though we arrived early in the morning.

Taxi to airport initially the hotel said it's 50 Turkish Lira however as we boarded the taxi it's charged as 40 Euro
Indoor swimming pool, Turkish bath (hammam), Sauna. 10-min walk to Blue mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazaar

As opposed to what was advertised, the size of the room and bathroom is small, the gym is hardly a gym they could have rather specified a threadmill & cycling. Breakfast was ok, but hot food is a let down. Staff was not very attentive rather seem to have a bad attitude.
It is closer to Sultanahmet attractions. The receptionist Burak was helpful on the day of arrival.

A little criticism to make the hotel even better: along with cosy wall lights there should be lights for reading (something which people do even when they are on holiday). Also the spa additional service should be better advertised; Turkish staff for Hamam would be much appreciated.
There are so many excellent things about Best Western Antea Hotel in Istanbul: facilities, comfort, the level of cleanness, wonderful breakfast, and especially - extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Many thanks to all who made my stay a remarkable experience.

The football field facing the hotel could sometimes be annoying if you plan to sleep early but it is not a big deal :)
Perfect location, very quite area. Close to sultan Ahmed area. You can find lots of small restaurants/cafe close to the hotel. Staff is amazing; ask for Nihat he is a very helpful gentlman and knowledgeable of the area.

First day team room was not functioning, pool no more than 4-5 m long, some smell in the hamam, bad phonetic izolation, a lot of noise from the rooms nearby (you can realy hear all the TV program)
Very good position. Very nice person the lady from SPA center.

Lady at the reception was not in the mood to answer questions, but the rest of the staff made up for it. The hotel has a football pitch across the road which can be very noisy till midnight.
Mesut and Buraq at the reception were excellent and very helpful. The Hotel has a splendid decor with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Family rooms have a beautiful sea view. Breakfast serves a wide variety of choices. Buraq the bellboy goes out of his way to make sure you have everything. Extra beds provided are comfortable too. Hotel has a spa with sauna, Turkish bath and pool worth trying out.

We booked this hotel because of it's promised pool/spa experience. I called 2 weeks before our arrival to see if it would be open. I was assured it would be. I checked again 3 days before our arrival…"Yes, yes, it will be open." Well, it wasn't. We were there for 7 nights, and it finally opened on the 5th night, with minimal amenities. They were willing to shuttle us to a sister hotel's pool/fitness area, but that was not convenient. Breakfast had a large variety, but fresh fruit was mostly unripe and hard as rocks. Directly across the street is a soccer field, where loud play went on until midnight every night. Rooftop terrace was also mid-renovation and a mess.
It is an easy 10-15 minute walk to most sights in the old city (although it does require navigating some steep hills). Our family room was spacious and equipped with small fridge and complementary 2 bottles of water daily..which was great because the bathroom had a sign warning us not to drink the tap water. Staff was friendly and happy to give us local restaurant recommendations.

The design of the shower was definitely a sore point as it was uncomfortable. Also the water gathered at one's feet when showering. The water draining was delayed.
I was very warmly received and knew that my stay was going to be a great one. The staff were always ready to answer any questions and all services were rendered promptly. Special mention to Arzu as she went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. Remzi also deserves a special mention. Nothing seemed too much for him and he always received us at breakfast with a welcoming smile. What a great start to our day.

Location for getting a round the old city
March 2, 2015
The only thing was we were in a back room, not sure if the windows are double glazed?? But every morning I was awakened by the deafening sounds of seagulls at 4am. Then the calling to pray at 5am is on loudspeakers from the local mosque. Also we could hear every time the next room used there toilet. This is my only complaint. The noise in the early morning. Other than that the hotel is excellent.
The hotel is ideally located for for all tourist attractions. The hotel is very charismatic. All of the staff are very helpful and were great throughout my stay. The food was very good, the bar staff and watering service was excellent.

A bit disappointed as the spa and sauna area was closed due to the renovation and reconstruction...
Amazing furnishing and facility, appurtenance with great modest and cosy atmosphere of the Ottoman sultans..
February 25, 2015
All spa facilities were under reconstruction:(
Breakfast was very nice Location very nice near sultanahmed mosque Staff friendly Clean comfortable rooms

the staff, the breakfast, the suit was great

Spa closed which I didn't know until I got there..I was sent to the other hotel for haman but they were understaffed and obviously not prepared for haman and massage??
Friendly helpful staff, nice comfy rooms except for road works nearby (throughout the night!)

The room was very small, bed was also small for two persons.
location is good. hotel is good compared to other hotels in the area. breakfast also is good
February 5, 2015
Reception was very friendly and helpful with information right from the arrival. The location is within minutes of the Blue Mosque and most places you need to visit in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul
February 5, 2015
Everything is perfect.
January 25, 2015
Location wasn't the best as you had to walk a steepy and tiring walk to the main road of Sultan Ahmet
January 13, 2015
Slow elevator; that's it.
The location, the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Quiet hotel; you feel lile home! Thumbs up and hopefully will choose this hotel for my 3rd trip to Turkey.

The spa was closed. We were drived to a different hotel as a courtesy, but this was not very convenient. Be ready to walk a lot. The hotel is situated in a hilly area.
The hotel is situated in the very center of Sultanahmet, in 10 minutes walking distance from Aya Sofiya and Blue Mosque. The hotel is very cosy, there are many sofas in the reception area, red carpets and beautiful interiors. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is quite good with a lot of fruits, pastry, different types of olives, local cheese, though we always lack omelette/fried eggs (they were over when we begin the breakfast at 9AM). Room was very warm (this January was extremely cold -2-4C) and the view from the window was over the Marmara Sea.

Had a late flight so got in about 11pm, the staff wasn't welcoming, he was seemed upset that we were checking in at that late hour. Checked us in and curtly informed us the kitchen was closed. So essentially we had nothing to eat that night. the room was meant to be a double but was really cramped.
it is located really close to all the tourist sights like the blue mosque and hagia sophia, the grandbazaar etc Breakfast was good, had a lot of variety.
