Best Western Empire Palace  

If you want to book a room using the phone, do not trust the reception. Ask for a written approval and a reservation number. You may either assumed to be non-booked or suggested to stay in a higher priced room.

The staff and the owner were lovely people. Very friendly and very accomodating and helpful. Location is perfect.

The Hotel was €200 per night and was not worth the money. Other hotels just as good are closer to 100 a night. The breakfast was not good and had run out of nearly everything buy 9.30 including coffee.

The friendliness, the location and the excellent service particularly from the night time office staff - Ergin.

I enjoyed very much tehe kidness of the personnal there. I must say that everyone tried to help me everytime specially Mr. Muammer who received us very late at night , carried our luggage to our room and was very enthusiastic to show the accomodations , and in the morning served breakfast, congratulations for such a lovely bell boy......Lovely hotel near to the old historical centre ...easy to walk and close to all the Istambul highlights...

I would have loved to have sound proof windows and more fruits in the morning...........

Me ha gustado mucho por el trato, la ubicación y el entorno. Sin grandes lujos pero agradable, limpio y funcional.

Petit déjeuner offrant un un grand choix d'aliments de qualité très médiocre. Nous aurions largement apprécié moins de choix avec des aliments bon, frais..Ex de mauvaise qualité: Jus d'orange de type poudre mélangé à de l'eau avec le seul gout de sucre, œufs réchauffés de plusieurs jours ni bon ni frais, charcuterie sans intérêt (fraicheur ?), pain et viennoiseries secs sans gout ou alors juste sucré...bref un petit déjeuné presque merdique ! Dans un autre registre chambre mal isolé par rapport au couloir ou l'on entend tout, et par rapport à l'extérieur pas terrible vu toutes les nuisances !

The men working in the front desk were very helpful and good at speaking English. Most of the staff overall gave a nice impression. The hotel is situated very close to all the main tourist attractions such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, the Basilika Cistern, the Topkapi Palace and the Archeological Museum. It is also possible to walk to the main shopping street on the new side of town, Istiklal Cadessi. The tram stop is just outside the hotel.

We were disturbed twice by cleaning personnel even though we had put up the "Do not disturb" sign. It was noisy from the hallway and into the room. The breakfast was not very good, sour milk.

Posizione eccezionale per la visita ai principali monumenti.

Camere un po' piccole. Prima colazione migliorabile, ma sufficiente.
