room was not comfortable, no kitchenette, uncomfortable bathroom, water was leaking from the bottom. smoke smell in the whole building very noisy neighbors. I do not recommend it especially for families with kids.
good location nearby the main turistique objectives; very clean, spatious; facilities as - iron machine, hairdryer, self-deposit box
Near Blue Mosquee and Aghia Sophia, very peaceful streeat. The room was clean and also they have a terrace.
If you don't have transfer from airport you'll find the place very hard.
My boyfriend and I stayed here in October, and it's a very nice apart hotel. In saying that though, it's nearly impossible to find on your own. We got a taxi, and he dropped us off somewhere near it- he didn't know where it was- and none of the hotels in the area knew where it was. The only reason we found it was a very nice lady called the hotel, and the owner waited outside and we walked until we could see him. There is no signage for the hotel, only a sign that says Deca tourism. Don't be fooled when they say it has a kitchenette- all it is is a dirty microwave at the top of the stairs. Maybe some rooms have a kitchenette, but ours didn't and they advertised it as having had one. The apart was very clean and furnished well, but the shower had cold, lukewarm if you were lucky, water. The location in reference to the attractions ( blue mosque, aya Sophia, topkapi palace, etc) was excellent. Maybe a ten minute walk. Worth it in my opinion just for that.
. obviously not a 5 * hotel however me and my wife are not fussy people. It was clean, beds toilets Etc was brilliant. Quite. And WiFi was superb. Close approximatiy to blue mosque and hippodrome and hagia Sophia.
I have nothing bad to say. I wanted cheap. I got cheap. And I loved it
What I did like about the Blue Mosque Apart was the location. It's in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The location is also about a three to five minute walk to the Blue Mosque depending on your pace. We also found some nice restaurants, a small bazaar, boutiques, and sweet shops. I also appreciated the apartment attendant looking after our baggage after our checkout (12pm) since our flight left late at night that day and we wanted to finish sightseeing. Although the attendant did not speak any other language besides Turkish, he was very nice and tried his best to communicate with us.
I knew this place was going to be trouble from the moment I called them to ask some questions. First of all, the staff does not speak any English, French, Spanish, or Arabic (only Turkish). Since there was a language barrier our questions could not be answered via phone. Seyfi, the owner was able to answer my questions via email but only before our arrival. Upon arrival they over charged us for our transportation from Sabiha Airport to the Blue Mosque Apart. They have a shuttle service advertised at 45 euros but they charged us 50 euros (we became aware of the advertisement the next morning since we arrived in the middle of the night) and refused to give us back the 5 euros once we had already paid. Secondly, when I booked the room on booking.com, I selected the room for 4 to 5 people. When he gave us the keys it was for the smallest room (2 to 3 guests). We informed the attendant that this was not the room we booked and so he called his manager to approve the move. The manager told us that we had to stay in the small room since the other room was reserved for someone else or that we can just leave and find another place to stay. This is not the news you want to hear at 4 am when you have traveled a long way and are new to an environment. After my husband spent about 10 minutes bargaining with the manager on the phone, the manager agreed to give us the room we originally booked for the majority of our stay but our last night we needed to move to the small room. Once that was settled and we signed paperwork, the attendant gave us the keys to our room. ***Tip: if you pay cash write down how much you payed on the contract and have the attendant sign it as well*** The room was clean, but we noticed that the bathroom door was broken and could not close. This was unacceptable because it was unpleasant for all parties when anyone used the restroom. We also noticed that the hot water did not work.
very small room and not cleaned enough
The "apartment" was not what we expected it is 1* However we enjoyed our three days because the facilities were adequate the staff exceptionally helpful and the location great
very basic apartment access stairs step no rails
Great location - short walk to Sultanhamet Square and mosques etc. Lots of nice restaurants in immediate area. Old building but clean and spacious - nice staff - great value.
It is very near to the attractions such as blue mosque & haghia sophia. You can keep going to blue mosque easily, especially fajr prayer. Such a nice feeling finishing fajr prayer there. A halal restaurant is near. The staffs are good. U get free transfer if stay for certain period.
