Good location and clean
Worst breakfast in our month in Turkey, Noisy room which echoed when others shut their doors. No hot water the first night. Cover was twin size on a double bed. Owner was unpleasant when we wanted to leave early.
The hotel owners are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very good with a variety of Turkish and Asian choices.
1. Excellent food - some of the best in Turkey! (Chinese options delicious and breakfast fab) 2. Helpful and friendly staff
1. Very basic bathrooms with no complimentary toiletries 2. The hardest beds we've ever slept on!!
Boomerang Guest House is in a great location in Selcuk. It is walking distance to restaurants and shops. The guest house has lovely rooms, is also walking distance to some major sights and provides a great restaurant with both Turkish and a Chinese menu, both of which are lovely. Both Hussain and Abdullah are great hosts and very welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay, the happy hour ever afternoon, the call to pray every morning and would highly recommend and this venue if you are visiting Selcuk.
Nothing, the guest house was more then we expected.
Location and staff
Owners dog barking at night
The staff were very friendly and always remembered my name. Fabulous garden courtyard that was great to sit in and relax after a long day of site-seeing. Wifi connection was good but required the router being re-set a few times.
Charming little guest house, staff were attentive, good location, but the rooms were rather noisy. We enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast in the coutyard was lovely. Perfect stay to visit Ephesus.
The a/c and the fridge in the room were quite noisy so it was difficult to sleep, but it may have just been the room we were in.
Good hostess, good restaurant, good location, good everything. You can't imagine what Chinese food means to Chinese tourists, we have all our breakfast, lunch and supper in their restaurant.
Wifi is not very stable for rooms far from the garden restaurant.
Owners speak perfect English and are really helpful in giving suggestion and information. Strategically located opposite of the bus station so if you are arriving by bus to Selcuk, its a good place to stay in.
Would be nice if the bed is a little more comfortable
The location for arriving by bus and visiting ephesus was excellent. The restaurant garden next to hotel was a nice setting and a good place to relax (happy hour was good too). Staff were pretty nice and friendly (although sometimes stretched when restaurant got busy). We stayed for two nights and had booked a double room (more expensive than twin). When we arrived were put in a twin room which had the beds on opposite sides of the room. The beds were pushed together but it still wasn't what we paid for. When trying to get to sleep there was a lot of noise coming from someone in reception talking at the top of his voice near midnight. There was a fair bit of noise during the night (possible people checking in from an overnight bus). The second night we were given a double room upstairs with a balcony at the back of the building. The room was nice and was much quieter (although hall noise was still a bit of an issue). Breakfast was ok as was the food at the restaurant.
Booking double room and getting twin room on first night. Noise from lobby on ground floor. No hot water on first night.
Brothers Hussein and Abdullah are friendly, funny and responsive, along with being animal lovers. They were helpful with arranging transport and giving advice. The food in the garden restaurant is good and its welcoming ambience, in case you want to sit and shmooze, is a plus. And the rooms, which are spotlessly clean when you arrive, are very inexpensive.
Our twin bed room was very small, the beds were a bit hard, there were no closets and there is no daily maid service. On the other hand the bathrooms are very nice. This guest house may be best for younger travelers and there is apparently a dormitory room for backpackers.
Extremely nice owners, they make you feel welcome the minute you walk in. Very helpful. Great ambiance!
Location Lack of formality Cleanliness Quietness of neighbourhood
Tiny room Three hard small beds...I Like a hard bed but this was like a board No hanging space Toilet and bathroom across the hall meaning keys needed to open lock every time used. Noisy air con Noisy fridge Poor response when asked for late check out The old if you'd told us earlier we would have done something...the first night we came in Late and didn't want to be demanding The second night it was very annoying but is anyone going to wake people up to tell them the aircon and fridge are noisy Not when you are paying 45 euro a night Breakfast a hard cold boiled egg And then the usual bread olives honey cheese but all stacked on one plate in plastic containers There's an aussie easy going nature to the place until you make a request We ended up checking out early but then they couldn't find anyone to process the credit card Certain irony in that we had to go back later to pay .... But we could only have the room half an hour after normal checkout!
Great location, room was a good size with balcony and they picked us up from the railway station.
Room was never cleaned and rubbish taken out. Bed and pillows were very hard. Dog all over the couches.
Large double room with balcony, very well priced: both food and accommodation, very close to the bus station and away from the tacky souvenir streets, very cosy restaurant (also had asian food) in the hotel with nice couches to relax, play boardgames or eat tasty food, nice family business with friendly chilled out owners who speak very good english, good value. Also a perfect place to meet many other travellers. Owners were very helpful to recommend sightseeing places and finding an extra room for second night during the busy season (we liked it so much there that decided to stay for longer).
Stayed there 1 night travelling with 2 small kids. We actually arrived earlier than normal check-in time. He was kind enough to give us a better room than i booked (ofcourse he charged extra for the room, but thats ok). Everything with the stay was good and i would recommend it for any fellow travelers.
Perfect location close to bus station, museum, heritage sites, and ATM etc. Friendly and helpful hosts, also so happy to meet the cheerful Chinese hostess Candy. The garden restaurant is an ideal place for relaxation. Will definitely stay again if I come back!
Can't find any!
Very good, friendly and comfortable place. Strongly recommended.
People who manage the hotel are very warm and welcome you
Breakfast one of the worst of the vacation so we didn't have any other food in the hotel. We booked for a triple room and the room was very unconfortable because small and the thier bed was not a bed (a mobile bed not suitable for my 13 years old child)
Very friendly staff. The owners work there all the time and speak perfect English. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Very helpful.
location is very good. owner couple is very friendly and owner's wife is Chinese so it is very easy to communicate.
The owners and staff were welcoming and friendly. They made me feel like I was in my own home. The garden restaurant was the most pleasant place to hang out.
The host really cares each and every guests with warm hospitality. And we could hang out with the other guests from everywhere at the garden bar. Room was spacious and very very clean.
Hot water not comes sometimes
Location, Good value for money, An adjacent restaurant with good prices and a nice place to sit outside under the trees, Beautiful, small rooms with balconies.
There were extremely loud drums at three in the morning to wake the Muslims up for the Ramadan. This is not pleasant for tourists who have nothing to do with the Muslim faith. The drums were in the streets but it was as if they were right under my balcony. It really scared me because I had no clue what was happening there in the middle of the night...
The owners were very helpful. The location is excellent. The restaurant is delightful.
