Nothing to complain about
Perfect location, great service, excellent stuff spacily Hassan
we could hear noise from other room's bathrooms but that was not a big deal
Overall we had a great experience and will highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Staff was extremely friendly, courteous and efficient. They were eager to help us out in everything. Location of the hotel is very central and at walking distance from all major sites.
One of the Bathroom’s didn’t have basic amenities like a towel rod / shower curtain. Not much variety at breakfast
Extremely friendly &customer oriented staff. Good location to visit the popular sites.
a bit expensive room tariff.
Great location! All major site seeing places are within walking distance! The staff were very helpful especially Mr Ismail(not sure the spelling)! Two restaurant he recommended was great with value for money. I would want to stay again if I go to Istanbul again.
The location of the hotel could not have been more perfect as it it close to everything we were interested in seeing and more. It is a small boutique hotel but very modern and neat. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne, a very nice touch. The day we arrived, there was a heavy unexpected rain storm. The cab driver had a difficult time finding the place in a heavy rain. When we finally arrived and got out of the cab, my husband slipped and fell, and the gushing water carried him down a hilly street a ways. We were sopping wet also from waiting for a cab at the cruise port. After seeing our condition, Kenan at the front desk, offered us a room to change into dry clothes since we were early and our room wasn't ready. We really appreciated his concern to our well being. Everyone there was so helpful and accommodating and painstakingly answered all our questions. The service we received was exceptional. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, and if we are ever back in Istanbul, we would definitely stay at Boutique St. Sophia. Thank you Kenan and his staff for a beautiful stay!
Although the room was very modern, there are some things they need to address. One is that the shower door does not seal the opening tightly so the water runs out onto the bathroom floor and even onto the wood floor. We had to mop up the floor every time we took shower. The other thing is that there is no place to set your toiletries except a small ledge along the sink. Some shelvings would have been nice. The breakfast was set with no menu. There was a large platter of cheeses, fruits, olives, honey, cold cuts as well as eggs cooked in your choice. You also got orange juice and coffee or tea. We didn't eat but half of it for 90tl which is about $45 without tip. This would have been okay if we were big breakfast eaters.
Location was perfect, was the centre of sultanmant and close to everything we wAnted to see.
The rooms are quite small for a 5* hotel.
Very good hotel, excellent service and condition of the room, very very good location.
Very good location and friendly staff.
amazing location, perfect for all the main sites, spotlessly clean, modern and fresh, friendly and helpful staff.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel was situated next to the Hagia Sophia and was thus in a excellent location for sightseeing in the old town.
Would have been good to have a swimming pool.
The location alone for this hotel is phenomenal, the added bonuses are that the service provided by the staff from arrival until departure was faultless, and the presentation of the hotel is great. As the hotel was recently renovated and only reopened in Sept 2013 the hotels appearance is very modern, unlike many of the other hotels we noticed during our time here. You are right next door to Hagia Sophia and a couple of minutes walk from a number of the famous sites of Sultanahmet. Our only concern booking this hotel was being woken up by prayer time which was around 3am during Ramadan. We could barely hear prayer time during the day from our room and it didn't wake us up once.
The only thing to be aware of is if you are in a room facing the street (like we were) you will hear a little bit of noise from the street - however this was very minimal and didn't affect us when sleeping.
Very nice Hotel, perfectly situated. The staff was extremely nice, the attention given to us was excellent, everybody was warm and friendly. We would definitelly go again.
Location, location, location Staff is professional is very friendly Design is warm and tasteful Price is right Double windows protect from the street noise
Excellent location, just excellent. Had access to all the famous sights in five minutes' walk, plus all the good restaurants. Staff very helpful and the room is clean and large. Good facilities overall.
No kettle in the room. Had to ask for hot water delivery.
Excellent place to be based for a few days right in the centre.
Not the hotel's fault at all, but can be difficult for taxi's to get near the building due to the (excellent) location in the heart of the old town.
What makes Boutique Saint Sophia so especial is the staf. Every single person of the staf make you feel at home.
The staff is amazing! Lokman is the most helpful front desk attendant ever. If you ask for help they will give you an extremely thorough response. They will help with any bookings, taxis, directions, etc without you even having you ask. I was there with my mom, sister, and 10 month old niece. They were extremely accommodating and everyone was so friendly and warm with the baby. The location of the hotel is right behind the Hagia Sophia, which is perfect if you want to see the sights. Have the phone number on hand for taxi drivers since its a smaller hotel and some don't know it. It's modern, extremely clean, comfortable and feels safe! Everything is quality right down to the toiletries. The breakfast is delicious and is ready quickly- I highly recommend having it. I would never stay any where else. This hotel was absolutely perfect! Thank you for a great stay.
The front desk staff were very knowlegable & helpful
The bar staff did not have a great deal of experience & we found that he bar prices changed dependant on who was working
The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast in your room was no problem. Directions, ordering cabs, restaurant bookings and recommendations where all great and done with enthusiasm. Would recommend the Superior Room (44), had a stunning balcony with a view of the Blue Mosque.
The location is superb. Staff are friendly and eager to serve.
Shower flooded. Restaurant closed early.
