As we arrived we were surrounded by a breathtaking view of hot air balloons! The manager of the hotel was beyond helpful and the location was prime. It felt like we were staying in a cave palace! Could not of asked for more!

The hotel is well designed and the room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the view from the terrace/pool was amazing, perfect to relax after trekking.

The checkin starts at 2pm which is not very handy when you arrive in the morning. Make sure you confirm your arrival time in advance so they can let you check in early.

“Wonderful building, hostelry needs a lot of improvement” Jul 31, 2014 Doors Let's get this right out of the way: as a concept, this hotel is very nicely designed around a courtyard, with lots of stairways (pack lightly!) and twisting stone corridors. The pool on the top level is very small but the view is wonderful and the sun chairs are comfortable (parasols would be a plus, given the scorching heat). Globally, the pictures you see on the web do reflect what you can expect to get, at least at first glance. Our room was very nice and spacious, solid stone with vaulted ceiling and miniature fireplace, a bit dark, of course, but with a big man-height window opening on the inner courtyard... But wait a minute... it does NOT open? Ever? And the nice stone terrace beyond it is not a terrace at all but a passageway where other people walk while they peek into our bedroom, so we must keep the curtain drawn at all times, and bye-bye to the light and the nice view over the courtyard? Now THAT's a surprise...! And speaking of surprises, what about those power plugs that are associated with a light switch (no issue there) but are also fed power by the said light switch, so that when you insert your phone charger into one when going to bed, and then kill the light, when you wake up in the morning your phone is dead because you unknowingly killed the power to the plug at the same time? Now THAT is clever engineering too...! Along the same line of thinking, one might also mention the plastic, functional tray equipped with a kettle. The fact that the tray rests atop a small fridge plopped unceremoniously onto the (nice) flagstone floor instead of being hidden in a cabinet could also be mentioned, but more significantly, one cannot miss the fact that there is... well, NO power plug within reach (unless you wanna chance unplugging the fridge?). So, you have to take both the kettle and its base to some other plug somewhere in the room...

    Please read full review above.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel where the facilities and staff were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised with high quality breakfast menu which also included fresh Gozleme, omelette and Turkish coffee. The rooms are large, cool and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and were always there to assist with tours, activities and balloon ride. I have stayed in many hotels in Turkey and this is one of the best.

Great views, good location (once you learned the short way to get there), pleasant staff and neighbors. Very nice internal decor.

Was hard to find...the signs to the hotel routed us through an awkward empty construction site, and down a narrow alley without any further direction. they could have been moved during the period of construction and avoided the rough road to the top of the blind hill, the picturesque construction site and alley, or at least could have directed us to keep going at those points.

Nice hotel with great views over the city, many terraces where you can enjoy the view and the landscape. Absolutely great to get up in the morning and see balloons fly from Rose Valley and across the city. Friendly staff who are good to help to book tours if you wish. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the center but it is not noticed. We had two rooms which were very nice. We had 5 wonderful days there.

We recommend larger wardrobe and several hangers.

The place was just like the pictures. The rooms are spacious, clean, beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and the view was amazing. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. It's in a central location but just up the hill so that it's very quiet. The rooms are not the cheapest but it's worth your stay for a special occasion.

The staff is kind and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location, a 5 minute walk to city center, making it easily accessible to restaurants, markets, tour and balloon offices, etc. Our cave room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Wi-Fi works well in rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Problems with building work next door and the access at the top, but hopefully these will be resolved soon.
