Not sure if all the staff have the same attitude as the manager, which is a shame, and made us feel very misunderstood and upset. Unsure if this was due to the language barrier or attitude of that member of staff, it appeared to be a bit of both from our perspective, however there was a definite lack of empathy and genuine concern for our feelings by the individual member of staff, and a "take it or leave it attitude". Room given to us was advertised as a Fairy Chimney Suite, in reality that was explained to us in a condescending manner as being the "name of the room", not the room type itself, which is misleading considering that was the reason we booked here to stay in a cave type/fairy chimney type room.
This was rectified, but obviously soured our first impressions of the hotel and attitude of one member of staff, considering we had chosen to pay a little more than we would normally have done for this specific hotel, particularly in this area to have this experience.
Initially our expectations did not live up to the reality, however in the end they did.
Bedroom 301, which was a very thoughtful and kind upgrade from the manager, who tried to do everything possible to make our stay memorable.
Hotel organised a personalised driver to take us to see some local sights within minutes of our request, and made us feel, anything was possible. Nothing seemed to much trouble for certain members of staff who provided outstanding customer service and attitude, for this we were very grateful, as people may not always remember what was said, but they will always remember how you made them FEEL.
