The owner mr.orig n his son are good people. They can arrange tours n bus tickets to other places in turkey.Wifi was excellant.Breakfast was.good n had a wonderfgul view of the town.Very close to the town..
Very helpful staff always had something we could do or book.
Nothing to complain about. We loved our four person cave room. The only slight negative was the wifi didn't always work in our room but we were too busy enjoying ourselves for that to matter
The location, hospitality, warmth, nice rooms.
the breakfast served was the same everyday. That could help if changed.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff.
Probably the room I stayed had been vacant for quite some time, I find dust on the bed sheets.
Incredible location Good food in hotel and restaurants Comfortable Hotel Good variety of activities
Did not have a cave room and I thought I did.
Very friendly staff. We were allowed to stay until 18.00 hours ( usual check out is morning ) at no extra cost. There was no pressure for us to book any tours etc through the hotel. The hotels location is perfect.
Not all rooms are cave rooms as the name indicates.. We booked two rooms and only one was cave room which was a bit disappointing
So close to the town center but insulated from it. Helpful with balloon tours etc. Excellent terrace breakfast room with views over cave hotels/houses.
'Cave Rooms' are (by necessity, I suppose) dingy.
The hotel is fine for the location and the cost of the stay. If you are just looking for a place to crash it is perfect.
The maid service came in and cleaned our room without our knowledge. They also left the door unlocked when they were finished all of our stuff was there for the taking. The hotel manager seemed to be sketchy. He tried to sell us way overpriced atv packages and Turkish night package. Do not go through your hotel for the activities! Look around town you will find a better deal.
The location is good. You can walk to Open Air Museum. You can ask the hotel to give you a ride to Pigeon Valley and then walk down the valley, back to hotel. It is a very beautiful valley. the breakfast is good.
The humidity is too high in the room.
Everything is good
Staff - owner and staff are the differential Location - near everything in Goreme Decoration and view from breakfast room - simply awesome Rooms are very nice and cozy Breakfast - simple but very good !
Cleaning could be a bit better but nothing to worry Wifi sometimes is out of range and a bit slow
Caravanserai is located a few minutes away from the center. Literally the center is down the road from the hostel. The place is clean and quite. The area is surrounded by the fascinating Goreme landscape. Something one can only find in Cappadocia. The owner is friendly and funny and he's well informed about the region. Well he's a local! He will suggest you how you can spend your days around Cappadocia without any pressure to book tours through him. We did book the hot air balloon and one of the tours with him and we were truly satisfied. The hot air balloon is a once in a lifetime experience. Fresh Turkish breakfast is served daily on a cute terrace with the views of Goreme were one can admire the cave hotels and rooms and if you're up early, you can also spot the hot air balloons.
The room did not have air condition so it was very hot and you could not breath The hotel Manager was not welcoming , he had different manner towards people who booked tours with him or who did not It was advertised as cave hotel and cave room but it was not at all a cave Hotel It is over rated. Break fast was poor
Perfect location, confortable, clean, great breakfast, reception staff very nice, helpfull, friendly
Nothing is bad, all was perfect!!!
Great staff who gave us many suggestions and organized tours. Near downtown.
the owner helped us to find an extra night bus from Goreme to Pamulkale. the seats of this route was so hot that we couldn't solve it by ourselves.
no A/C in our room, but the tempreture in evening is not that hot, so it doesn's really matter.
I enjoyed my stay at Caravanserai, the staff is helpful, The owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly, he provided me informations about entertainment and services ( balloon flight, Turkish night shows, transfers ) letting us feel free to chose the best one and making our permanence in Cappadoccia a delight. The daily tour was very nice also! The hotel is a charming cave Hotel and is perfectly located, easy access walking to the city center, and close to very good restaurants. The room is clean and cosy. The breakfast is very good and is on a roof-top terrace with beautiful views of the Goreme. I made a booking for one day, but I liked very much and i stayed for 3 days. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Cappadocia.
First of all, Goreme is the town to stay in if you visit Cappadocia - quaint, filled with good restaurants, and interesting shops. Caravanserai Cave Hotel is very well situated - 5 min. walk to centre of town, 15 to 20 min. to the Goreme Outdoor Museum, and none of the steps to climb that will exhaust you at hotels located higher up in the town. Oruc (owner/manager) is a charming host who is very eager to help you make the most of your stay in Cappadocia. And he is well qualified to do so, having lived in the area and been a tour guide for more than 20 years. He is also fluent in English, German & Dutch. He arranged airport transfers for us, and on our first night took us to a good restaurant where, on his recommendation, we enjoyed the speciality of the region - testi kebap. Staying in a cave room was a novelty that we enjoyed very much. And the terrace where we had breakfast and late night drinks has a wonderful view of the town and surrounding landscape. We would definitely stay at the Caravanserai Cave Hotel again!
Hard to find (lack of signs)
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect. We were hoping for a cave room, but were put in an arch room. The staff kindly offered to move us into the larger cave room for the same price, but we decided to stay in the arch room because it was gorgeous and had an incredible view. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Hotel owner is a Goreme native, and he gave us OUTSTANDING advice on what to see, what to pass on, when to go, and in what sequence. He made our experience MUCH better, and we saw things not in any tour book that I can't imagine not having visited. Fab staff, too.
We had a cave room because we wanted the kids in the same room as we were. It was a fine room but really, really damp and on the border of humidity uncomfortable. I'd take a non-basement room next time. Hotel staff, charm, and service made up for it, though. Still heartily recommend.
Location is perfect, at the centre of Goreme; The cave room is so exotic!! Very nice experience, cool during nights; Terrace is amazing, I can sit there for a whole afternoon, excellent view of the town; Nice buffet breakfast; Staffs are very nice with sweet smiles; Host Oruc is super friendly and helpful, he helped us book the balloon flight, shuttle bus between airport and hotel, renting a car for red/green/blue routes tour; even drove us to the mountain top for sunset views! What surprised me, touched my heart, is, I lost my earring probably in the room that I didn't notice. After I checked out the room, and when I realised I lost one of my earrings which I love so much, I sent an email to Oruc to ask with little hope. But he did look for it and found it for me!!!! Very efficiently he sent the parcel to my friends' house in Istanbul, and when I opened the parcel I nearly cried. He put in such a nice gift box with a gift bag too!! That's sooooooooooooo sweet!! I had no regrets in Cappadocia, it's my favourite during this Turkey trip. Thank you Oruc, thanks so much for your hardwork and kindness!!! Love you!!!!!!! :)
wifi is not very working in our room, and slightly damp.
Lovely setting in the centre of Goreme. Our double room was fairly spacious and decorated with Turkish rugs and artefacts. B'fast was served on roof terrace which was open for hot drinks throughout the day. Oruc Celik, a historian among other things, was most hospitable and helped us plan our tour of western Turkey. Gokan, who was in charge of the kitchen and dining room and Mujaid, Oruc's assistant, were obliging and helpful at all times.
Perfect location coz only 5 mins walk from Goreme bus station; Friendly staffs.
My room was 113 and the toilet flush was really bad, i had to ask the staff twice to come fix it.
Manager is very friendly and helpfull and he have time to talk with every guest. Environment is nice: rustic and cozy. I felt I was in good hands there and didn't need to worry about anything.
