We had a wonderful stay at the Castle Inn. Suat Bey is great, the accommodations are beautifully appointed, and the location in Ortahisar was a nice reprieve from the more crowded Goreme, though everything is close by.
Thanks for a great visit and help with organising a day tour and ballon ride.
The stuff was very helpful. They did everything to make us feel home.. We felt home and enjoyed our holiday.
Wow, what an amazing experience. Not only is this region breathtaking, Suat, our host, was incredibly hospitable. He sat down with us each morning (after a great complimentary breakfast) and helped us plan our day trips. He even drove us to a great dinner and joined us for one of the best meals I had in Turkey. I can't say enough about the hospitality and charm of the Castle Inn. It was very clean and everything was in place. Ortahisar is a great little town with an amazing castle you can walk up to get a 360 view of the region (500 ft from the inn). I would recommend this place for any traveler, it was by far the best travel experience and I will definitely be back. Thank you Suat!
Owner Suwat is a fantastic host who helped make our stay special. This is a small boutique hotel with personalized service. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and had regional character. The town is a little less touristy, and still very close to all of the sites. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Wonderful hotel. We will recommend it to all of our friends that may travel to cappadochia. Thanks Suwat!!
The owners and staff really helped to make our stay in Cappadoccia special. Really awesome place. clean. comfortable. excellent complimentary breakfast. good wi-fi. bar fridge with complimentary water and drinks.
was a bit shocked by the price of getting some clothes washed, which they gave to a laundry up the street apparently. I should have asked for the price prior, as it turned out to be 4 times what we have paid at other places. Even the underwear was ironed and folded, and the whole lot wrapped up in plastic, which is unnecessary but possibly how they justified the price.
I can't say enough positive things about our stay at the Castle Inn. Suat and his team were helpful and very friendly, happy to spend the evenings chatting on the balcony as we watched the sun set in the distance. The rooms were great, big and comfortable bed and the shower had hot water and good pressure, a rare treat on the road. The breakfast was also very good and the perfect way to start the day. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in during the past few months of travelling. 10/10.
We had to leave!
Everything. The room, the host, the people working in there are excellent. Pack your bag, look no futher and you can count on this hotel. They will help you with anything and evrything. Wonderful people and wonderful service.
From where should I even begin to tell how magical this place was, I really don’t know. Words can’t really describe the feelings that I got while staying in that “Hotel”. In all my traveling experience there wasn't a place that I've stayed more beautiful and friendlier than Castle Inn in Ortensia of Cappadocia. As the owner told us and I couldn't agree more, Castle Inn is not a Hotel. It is more like a warm home were you are surrounded by great people that are always willing to help you and guide you in order to make your stay unforgettable. I even remember all the names of the staff. It was like I had a beautiful castle just for myself and my girlfriend, so quiet and so peaceful. If you’re living in a big city and you need just to get away for some days, I RECOMMEND this place! It’s a guarantee that you will return much lighter and happier! The Rooms were all so unique and warm, the decoration in them is something that everyone should see. At the cool nights or warm mornings there isn’t a nicer place to enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee than their outdoor living room. I swear I could stay there forever!!!!! Their Terrace is also a very romantic place to sit and have some special Cappadocian wine while enjoying the most magical view. Ugh… I will say only this…. I left with tears in my eyes and I will def visit this indescribable “Home” again in the future.
Ok so I'm not one to pick hotels apart however I like to be completely honest so other travellers have a fair and accurate understanding of where they will be staying and I can honestly say this hotel I can not fault. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I have reviewed at least 100-200 hotels. Suat the owner arranged everything for us for a safe and comfortable arrival. He had a shuttle collect us and his staff take our bags straight off us. He sat down with us to ascertain what we wanted to see and do during our stay at cappadocia to ensure he could assist wherever possible to get our list accomplished. We were offered an amazing upgrade which we loved. The hotel is like a beautiful castle inside and out. All the finishing touches make it perfect. You can really tell that suat (the owner) puts a lot of thought into everything he does. He constantly thrives to make certain your stay is how it should be. The price we paid is amazing for what we recieved. An amazing price and amazing hotel. Anyone staying at this hotel would not be disappointed.
There is not one thing I didn't like.
Hotel owners and personnel are very friendly. Great place to stay.
I would like to advice this hotel for all kind of travelers. We went with our little daughter and was perfect but at the same time i think this hotel would be perfect for couples without kids too. Nice rooms, little town close a lot of different interesting areas and overall the staff. Thank you very much, Ercüment
I was able to spend time away from the tourist area. It was very close to uchisar castle. I was upgraded to a cave room. The room was more than what I expected...it was beautiful! There were lighted candles on a floor candelabra when i entered my room. I wish i had time to use the jacuzzi tub in my bathroom. liked my own fireplace and lounge area just outside my room. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was very good. I had a great view of the local houses and had a glimpse of the locals' way of life. One of the partners, Suat, was always visible, suggested things to do and even planned on my itinerary. I spent a couple of times chatting with him and his staff for a long time. He and his staff were very friendly and made me feel like family. I liked the size of the hotel-there were only five rooms, but the room where I stayed was so big that even 3 people would still fit comfortably. Even though I only stayed there for a night there were so many good things that I will remember about this hotel.
The cosiness of the hotel and friendliness of Suat and Sami. They were really hospitable.
The wifi didn't work in the room but we weren't dying to use it on our vacation, so it didn't bother us at all. The wifi was fine just outside the room.
Sami helped us a lot for the route. Hotel Location was perfect. Room designs were so nice. We will absolutely stay in Castle inn if back to here someday.
I loved the design, the feel of the boutique hotel. The people are also amazing. I wish I had more time to spend there.
Perhaps, we could have got better directions. But that's a very small issue. Doesn't take away from the awesomeness of the place.
The owner Suat was extremely friendly and patient with all our questions since Day 1 of our booking. On the day of our arrival, he waited till 11 PM to welcome us personally to the hotel (he lives in another property nearby). The cave room we had was absolutely beautiful and the classical Turkish breakfast was great. The hotel's location is a slight walking distance from Goreme (good exercise) but Suat told us to just give him a call if we are unable to get back after sundown and he'll give us a lift back to the hotel.
