Luxury hotel for low budget families nice rooms for less than 100 euros the night, i payed 86 euros for a couple with 2 childrens. Clean Man working in the beafast is really wonderful Very comfortable bed
The internet connection didnt worked more than 5 min, i had to reconnect all the time! The phone in the room didnt worked No fruit basket in the room even if i asked for it they didnt gaved it. We booked a room with a bath but finally when we arrived they gaved us a room with a shower, and a very very small window
As first time visitors to Istanbul,we found the staff at Celine very helpful . Especially Tunahan and Ersin were helpful in guiding us to the ideal places to eat around the old town and helped make bookings for a Sema ceremony and a Bosphorous cruise. The hotel itself is a lovely old building very pleasingly renovated with modern comforts and in a great location. This allowed us to walk to all the important sights to visit in a few minutes. We would certainly stay again in this hotel on our next visit. As women, we found walking through the area where the hotel is located, extremely safe.
Very personal, great location, friendly staff
location, location, location, but also the design and the overall ambience; one feels very well here and the breakfast room adds to the experience
breakfast's hot plates very good but the other things we had were disapointing, more importantly coffee and bread; room on the small side for the price; on the first night the prayer call kept me awake for quite a while, takes some getting used to.
Excellent location with fantastic staff who are available for advice and recommend local restaurants that are away from the 'tourists'. The hotel has been furnished to a high standard and still keeps its Turkish feel. We will definitely be returning!!
Night mgr very helpful
Well located, room quite, comfortable and updated.
Can't think of something didn't like. It was perfect!
We liked almost everything in that hotel. The location was very central , still rooms were quiet and we had no noise problem. The staff, specially the manager was very helpful. The place is very tastefully decorated. We had made a wrong choice and stayed in a place which was very uncomfortable. After one night we decided to move and found this place on Booking . Com. We got a good last minute deal also and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
The front of the hotel is on a bend and rather inconspicuous. One can easily miss it walking by. The breakfast was nice but could be improved a bit. Rooms were Ok but not very spacious. I guess one can not expect that in a city centre hotel and that also in an old palace.
beautifully restored mansion, nothing detracting from the Ottoman elegance but with excellent tastefully installed modern facilities. Wonderfully convenient for all the sites of Sultanahmet
Only that we didn't get a room with a view ( ask for the upper floors.)
Quality of rooms, decor etc.
Bar was closed during our stay.
We spent five nights at this well-located hotel. It has a unique feel, a combination of old world charm and modern amenities. Our room had a lovely sea view, nice historic details, and a beautiful bathroom--although the room itself was somewhat small. I think our favorite part was the breakfast in the enclosed courtyard. The staff was friendly and attentive, quick to bring coffee, tea, and cooked items. The choices on the buffet were plentiful and included fresh juices. When we arrived after an overnight trip, we were offered juice and coffee upon check-in as well as a complimentary breakfast. The hotel staff worked quickly to make our room available that morning, well before check-in time.
The location is great, less then 5 min away from the Blue Mosque and other high lights. Also less then 5 min away from the tramstation. The personel is very friendly and the accomodation is super clean.
To name something, the hotel has a small bar but not a terras.
Nicely decorated hotel in quiet street, friendly staff, very clean, spacious room with sea view ( 402 ). Good comfortable bed with excellent pillows. Perfect location in Sultanahmet. Friendly staff.
Breakfast could be better.
Ask for special room with sea view. Walking distance from all the sights and perfect for a rest and shower before dinner after visiting.
Breakfast could be better.
The Celine Hotel is a pretty hotel in a perfect location. We took the tram from the airport to the hotel and walked everywhere from the hotel or took the train to other parts of the city. The rooms are comfortable and clean. As other reviewers have noted, the breakfast could be improved but is fine. I would stay here again because aside from the breakfast I found the stay comfortable and the location ideal for a first time visit. The front desk staff is helpful and provides a map with notable locations. Ramazan helped us our first night and gave us great information!
The breakfast could be improved - the cereals were very stale. Everywhere else we stayed (smaller bed and breakfasts/small hotels) had a delicious platter of fresh fruits. However, they do offer some made to order hot items (eggs, pancakes) which helps to improve the breakfast.
Staff Was very evailable at any moment and very kind!
The hotel has good location and staff were friendly and so cooperative and it has very nice rooms and very good services
We stayed at Celine Hotel for 10 days from 31st July to 9th Aug 2014. We booked two rooms as our children (19 and 15 years old) were also with us. We were delighted to know on arrival that the hotel management had kept two adjoining rooms ready for us. This is a wonderful hotel with exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful staff. Right from the moment of checking-in up to checking-out we were continually impressed with the effort that every one made to make our stay as comfortable as possible and to make us feel at home. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with 14 excellent rooms which are kept very clean by the diligent housekeeping team. The hotel and the rooms are physically very beautiful, set in an old Ottoman mansion. The décor is lovely and the bathrooms are spotlessly clean, decorated with marble and Turkish tiles. They also have great showers! The location is brilliant as it's very close to the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Aya Sofia, Grand Bazar, the tramway station (Chemberlitas) and many other important sights. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops close by as well. They have a lovely breakfast with lots of options with their cheerful chef and staff (Dil Ruba) at hand to immediately attend to your needs. The breakfast is served in a beautiful patio decorated with Turkish styles and an impressive glass ceiling. The hotel definitely has the feel of an old home brought up to date and beautifully designed for modern times. The front office staff and management (Tuna, Ersin, Ramazan) were exceptionally friendly and helpful in providing useful information and organizing various arrangements to make our holiday a truly memorable one. The WiFi worked exceptionally well. Celine hotel is a 'home away from home' in this amazingly beautiful city and we are already looking forward to planning our next holiday here and again staying at Celine hotel. We would certainly tell all our friends and family about it and would highly recommend the hotel.
Nothing at all!
Superbly located, charming well equipped rooms, quiet, clean and safe - not to mention attentive staff and very good breakfasts!
Slight problem with wi-fi one evening.
Friendly staffs, convenient location, delicious breakfast
If you have loud neighbors, you can hear them.
Location is the best of this hotel. The staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend it.
Facilities are a bit run down.
Staff were very attentive and the rooms were very comfortable, slept very well on their beds. Breakfast and breakfast staff were exceptional. Excellent location in Sultanhamet. Beautiful glass elevator.
Only slightly disappointed that there were fleas on the floor of the room. Otherwise the room was spotless.
Location was amazing.. staff were super friendly and attentive..room was clean and well decorated and newly renovated..breakfast with variety.. I enjoyed my stay and find it worth the money..
rooms are relatively small but it seems common in this area.. breakfast selection quality can be better if you compare it to local turkish quality and taste.. I personally didn't like the pillow as it was hard for me.. however, I noticed on my last day that you may select different options of pillows based on your preference..
I like : location, services, quietness, staff kindness, & most of the facilities.
