This accommodation has been the highlight of our trip. Tastefully re-decorated and just a pleasure to stay in.Staff, in particular the owner's son, could not do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. The rooms are fantastic and the whole atmosphere wonderful

    Nothing really

    Ambiance

The room was too small, there is not enough space between bathroom and bed. Wifi wasn't good due to thick walls. Breakfast wss tasteless and not colorful. It was far too expensive for poor conditions

Great location, central Cesme, close to the marina where all the restaurants and shops are. The building is beautiful, however the regular rooms are small. Rooms look out onto an open courtyard where the swimming pool is, and there is a rooftop bar (which was only open one night out of the entire stay). Rooms are small but clean. TV is tiny and reception is not good, I guess they don't have cable?

Wifi was on-off. The swimming pool is nice but since it is surrounded by tables in the courtyard you can't use it during meal times, which for late risers can be a problem. Also because of said tables there is very little room for sun loungers and there isn't much sun in the afternoon. I was with a group of friends but most of the guesrs were families with small kids, which meant being woken up every morning by screaming kids playing in the pool and their parents yelling at them, since all the common areas are open-air. If you want a younger, kid-free scene, or just silent mornings, this is not the best option. Also, I would have liked to hang out and have drinks at the rooftop bar, but it was never open...except on a Thursday night when they had live music. It would be nice if they could open the bar every sunset, seeing as this is a summer vacation hotspot.

    The location.

Very loud speakers close to the hotel made it very noisy.

The Staff were very friendly and obliging. It is located in central cesme.

It is surrounded by 3 mosques, and in the 21st century you will be blown out of bed by a deafining Islamic Howl every daybreak. The local authorities do not care about tourism. The staff can do nothing about it.

Fabulous open air courtyard with two big palm trees, nice breakfast selection, close to cesme castle and seaside walk, professional and courteous staff,

After a three hour bus ride didn't like arriving and seeing a wedding reception being set up, the pool covered with a dance floor, and a bongo band setting up. The noise went on until midnight. One should call ahead to ensure there are no events booked, because there will be no pool and it will be very noisy. They also changed our room after the first night which was another unexpected inconvenience. And There is little to no wifi signal in the rooms.

Funky accommodation in a 1528 caravanseri was really well done

We were suprised that the hotel restaurant only opened from 7 to 9 pm. Such restricted hours in summer caught us out but as there were a lot of restaurants nearby just starting to hit their straps from 9 it wasn't a big issue.

    Historic building and set up.

There should be interactions how to use the sauna etc. in the King's suit. Staff at the reception need to be trained better to provide better customer service.

The ambiance, location and sense of history.

The hotel booked a graduation dinner on our last night, we returned to the hotel at about 10 pm to the sound and vibration of a disco in full swing. The layout of the hotel is such that the central courtyard was used which meant that there was no escape even with the TV on full it was drowned out. I complained at reception, who also couldn't hear me and we had to leave the hotel to be able to phone the manager. I asked for a refund, as the noise was completely unacceptable but this was refused. The hotel doesn't seem to know what it wants. It is either a private function venue or a hotel. It can't be both. Book this hotel at your peril.

We liked everything about this hotel. The old building and the beautiful court yard with the pool. They have a roof top terrace where you can enjoy the view of the harbour and Chios. The breakfast was amazing and the location is right next to the harbour where there are many restaurants/bars and shops. The rooms are really nice (only problem was the hard Turkish pillow - this is nothing specific to this hotel but will bring travel pillow on my next holiday to Turkey :-) )

The best thing is the great location, with parking available... staff is excellent and breakfast as well...

The rooms downstairs are a bit tiny, with little light but that's what you get from such an historical place...although I wouldn't suggest to spend more than one/two nights in such a room...

BRILLIANT! Mix of history, friendly staff, authenticity. It was something unique not just another hotel. Staff, from the chef, to the desk clerks to the waiters...all very helpful and informative. If you have one option to stay and you want adventure and something really cool to tell your family about. This is IT

Main restaurant was closed while we were there, but understandable since we were out of season.

incredible building very responsive staff good (turkish breakfast) excellent location overall, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives about this hotel

fuse kept blowing in bathroom wi-fi doesn't work in room (but, personally, I wouldn't encourage you to worry about using the internet while on vacation -- I go on vacation to get away from my computer!)

    Fantastic historical building

The breakfast was at 08 o'clock, which was too late. The personnel was working in an amateur way.

Nice bathroom and bed. The courtyard, inner balcony and roof terrace were also enjoyable, although there seemed to be no stairs down from the roof terrace, just a lift.

The room and some other parts of the hotel could have been cleaner.
