This hotel was great! Nice rooms, great location, and helpful, friendly staff.

Some internet issues in the rooms.

The ambiance, it was really beautiful and tranquil,just what i needed .It was near wonderful Restaurants /,shops, and stunning views of Harbour and Esplanade.NOT for anyone with Arthiritis or back problems or height fears as steps up to all rooms were daunting ,21 very high steps Well worth it if you,re fit.

It was off season ,but when fully open it would be great

Close to anything. The receptionist is extremely cute and helpful. The breakfast is simple but great.

There is no Turkish night activity during the low season, nor does the hotel offer dinner service.

The staff was wonderful and it's location was fabulous.

The doors and windows were not properly sealed, so cold air was able to get into the room. As a result, the rooms were not that warm.

Friendly and helful staff. Perfect and historical architecture and room style. Bed and other facilities in the room were in good condition.

The hotel can help to organize a trip to ancient Ephesus. I used this opportunity and joined a tour of very high quality: professional guide with strong historical background and excellent English explained everything during our day-long trip to Ephesus, Meryem Ana and Selcuk. I am very pleased to have visit these famous places. The hotel itself has historical fantastic ottoman charm. Unforgettable experience.

The waiters at breakfast were lazy, inattentive and unfriendly during our 3 day stay....

A really nice atmospaehre - a part of the real turkey. The patio is fantastic and a must see.

The breakfast is really basic and nobody tooks care about., the waiter was really ungentle and didn't like to work.

The location was excellent and the hotel is unique, the staff were very friendly.

The location could not be bettered. The hotel is situation in an historic monument--an old caravanserai, and the atmosphere cannot be reproduced in modern buildings.

The worst thing about the hotel is that they have "cultural shows" a couple of nights a week, consisting of a buffet dinner and a variety of supposedly traditional dances and songs. One must question whether a series of '70s pop hits that ended the show (Tom Jones' "Delilah" for example!) could be categorised as traditional Turkish music! The duration of the show is very long and the standard of the dancing is at best well-meaning local dance school with local singers of the standard of a local talent quest. The volume of the music is so loud that the floor and even the old stone walls seem to vibrate, even in guest rooms. There is no soundproofing at all. It is impossible to try and sleep until the show is over--after a long day out and about sightseeing, this is intolerable. The management express little sympathy with guests' complaints (plenty of these!), with shrugs and disinterest. The crowd that turns up for these shows is huge (bus loads!), so clearly it is much more financially worthwhile than maintaining good guest relations. We would not recommend the hotel for this reason, and advise prospective guests to check whether these shows are scheduled for any nights they're thinking of booking. Also, there are very steep stairs from the street as well as steep staircases to negotiate within the building, with no other alternative for access to rooms, which would be very uncomfortable, even difficult, for the less able-bodied to manage. Surly and unhelpful breakfast staff need a quick course in hospitality standards, although the front desk staff are quite pleasant, if lacking warmth. Rooms are simple, bordering on the spartan, but clean and adequate, and are priced according to the atmosphere of the building rather than creature comforts. It's a pity there are so many negatives which well and truly outweigh the positive of the great location in an interesting historic building.

The hotel is in 400 year old building !The Location is excellent since it is close to shopping areas & resturants . The lady at the front desk was very helpful for arranging the trip to Efesus & guiding us where to go . They have Turkish night twice a week on Tuesday & friday which is entertaining .

The rooms decor , breakfast area & other common areas needs makeover .

The building is beautiful and was the main draw for us. It looked different to everything else that was available on or near the sea front. Arrival went well with staff friendly and helpful. We dined in the evening and the food was very good as was the service. The room was again different from most hotel rooms and had a little character.

Our stay was almost spoiled by the breakfast service that seemed unordered. We had to ask for things several times over. The food was however good and gozleme were prepared fresh for us and delivered to our table.

The service there was great! The location was convenient, just nearby a shopping street. The hotel was like a castle, which we normally dreams about as we read a fairy tale. The goods offered by the hotel shop are nice, so are the prices. Although there weren't so many choices for breakfast, but you could still enjoy good Turkish tea or coffee, fresh fried eggs or omelette, and tasty Turkish crispy pancakes. The Friday night's show was awesome, and the food prepared was delicious! It is definitely worthy to join!

The curtains was too thin to block the sunlights. I got up very early in the morning once the sun rised.

the location is great, being very close to the main street of Goreme. The family who own and run the hotel , very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room clean & comfortable. Lots of rustic charm and a relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful as historic site and well restored. Excellent location down at the waterfront. Service was spotty, though, especially breakfast service. Restaurant is at best fair. Expected better from such a facility.

Very little apart from the original stunning building. Probably one of the most calm, simple, classically understated buildings I have been in. BUT To be fair, the breakfast was very good as was the breakfast manager.

The first thing we didn't like was Kusadasi - not the hotel's fault. Then the hotel looked like a fake Hollywood set in the middle of the worlds tourist town. The photographs on Booking.com lied. It is surrounded by shops, gift shops, bright lights, cruise ships, all the things the hotel didn't appear to portray nor did the photographs show. Consequently it advertises traditionalTurkish evenings and a walk in and look around culture which means they have to section off the resident area with notices. When we arrived the interior was reassuringly beautiful and we cheered up. Unfortunately a shortlived experience as the room was small, dark and tatty, nothing like the rooms shown. Three single beds squeezed into the space. Rather disheartened we went downstairs for dinner and to ask for a double room. We ordered a drink eventually (when we found a waiter) and waited. Asked again, and waited. We also asked about the room and were told it would be looked at - it wasn'T. Eventually drinks arrived. Whilst sitting we looked around. Nothing was prepared. Everything looked shabby, unfinished, tatty, staff moving at no speed at all, no presentation. We found out they had a wedding the previous evening that finished at 3am and some of the staff had gone to bed at 5am. Dinner - we sat at our table, in a puddle, next to a grubby stage with bits of left over props on it.- Not a great outlook. Luckily it darkened and they put on feature lighting which worked. The wine we wanted was not available - they ran out because of the wedding. They did offer another at same price - it was good. The food was not, nor was the service. Starters all much of a muchness - Ottoman style purees. The main course was appalling.- Sole kebabs that were so overcooked you could bounce them around the room ,served with a solid chunk of red onion, half a red tomato and a bunch of leathery rocket? Leaves.

This hotel is one of the landmarks of Kusadasi. We enjoyed our stay there, esp. our breakfast in the central courtyard.

Quite old towels, they should change them. Sometimes very noisy because rooms have a very simple, light door, old style and no soundproof.

The rooms, the hotel and the staff. They have a ottoman show Thursday's and Friday's it is long, noisy but very nice. You can pay 25eur per person or watch it for free from the balcony. However if you do not plan to watch the show be prepare to hear the loud music until 12:00 midnight

The bed was not very comfortable.

stay in this hotel maid me feel like I travel time back to 16th centery .it was like a majic . staff was frinedly and service was excellent . my best stay in Turkey :)
