This was only a 1 x night stopover, so we are unable to give a detailed assessment. Our room, overlooking the main road was noisy. |

This hotel in the ancient building is for me perfect. Because I was there at the end of november it was very quiet inside aswell outside. For most of the time I was the only gast. Neverthelast the staff did everything to make it a very pleasant stay.My room was cleaned every day. dailly new towels. For breakfast they made everything I wanted My compliments. I will go back in April. |

The location was great, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel has an old world charm, and it truly is an old castle. I would not recommend the hotel for the winter season. Since it is a castle, the walls are very thick which make for a very chilly room. There is a heater however it took very long to warm up, and there was a constant draft. The breakfast was a bit basic: bread, cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers, |

The Staff were extremely welcoming, and the room although quite small was perfectly adequate and well equiped. The hotel is in an excellent location and well placed for all the local amenities. The room was very cold, no doubt very nice in the height of the season, but not at the end of November, and the small poorly placed air con/heater was not sufficient to warm the room. The tea and coffee was not replenished overnight, and neither was our bed made, perhaps because we pulled the over blanket over, to tidy the room in the morning. |

The staff was very helpful, the room comfortable and the price honest. The location and the historical building are great The mattress was too soft and the Turkish Night Show was very loud, but finished before midnight. |

Easily the most historic and interesting hotel to stay at in Kusadasi. The Turkish night was also enjoyable, even if folk like Lonely Planet are a bit sniffy about it. I think the town may well be best avoided in peak season, unless you want a Blackpool on the Med scene, but Sept was great. |

Just as note: this hotel is absolutely not to be recommended for people with (even minor) mobility handicaps given the formidable staircase. All rooms are on the 1st floor. |

Very nice staff. Clean rooms.Good value of money. However, take into account that it was/is an old fortress and rooms are quite old fashioned and not big. Twice a week this hotel has "arabian nights" show and if you stay in the hotel you can hear everything very loud. Show ends around midnight. All doors of the rooms go to the balcony which is open that is why the acoustics is very good there and there is no chance to fall asleep till the end of the show. |

The hotel gave us exactly the holiday experience we wanted. The building is magnificent and gives a real sense of old world charm with the rooms located around the upper storey of a central courtyard. The rooms also had charm and character (but with good modern facilities). Our room had meter thick walls, a fireplace, a domed ceiling and traditional wooden floors with Turkish rugs etc. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly and the hotel is centrally located (but we could not hear traffic noise). One night there was a wedding party, which was like having a disco in your room. However the music stopped at 12.30, which we thought was a reasonable time. |

The atmosphere was wonderful - all rooms were on the balcony looking over the spectacular open air courtyard. The rooms were modest but the sheets were comfortable Egyptian cotton and we slept so well after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. Lot's of hot water and good A/C. Breakfast was good and service was superior. Weddings are held on the weekends and you can enjoy the Turkish music and festivities from your balcony with a bottle of wine. We were even invited to eat dinner with the wedding guests. It was a wonderful stay and I would do it again. |

The location of the hotel in the city market and liman, in conjaction with the marvelus traditional enviroment, are the most suitable for a visitor who want to share his time in sight seeing in the city as well in the area. Night folklor show is one of the best presented in Turkey. Nothing to report |

Located right by the local bazaar. Very interesting and attractive layout, both from the outside and in the courtyard and hallways. My 'Single' room had 2 small uncomfortable beds. The courtyard doubles as something of a tourist trap bus-stop location during the day and occasional evening shows. |

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the setting and rooms are beautiful. The location for the markets and wharf is also very good. Unfortunately the main courtyard of the hotel turns into a nightclub on the weekend and the music is so loud and the room is not sound proof, so the noise is not dimmed at all and it is very hard to sleep until about 1.30am. |

Uniqueness - old Ottoman castle. Comfortable rooms. They have a Turkish Nights Show there - it is a cruis ship destination - so the show goes until very late and is loud. |

Dommage. |
