눇The Dalyan Residence is built in a very nice and (potentially, please read on) quiet and peaceful location in the eponymous village. It is right by the Aegean Sea, with a reasonably-sized (albeit not very deep: 1.35 meters) pool and direct access to a private platform by the sea, which you can order food on, lounge on and swim from. You will find all details on the photos available on the internet.
The building itself is modern and good-looking. Inside, it is somewhat less upscale but the rooms are quite spacious. We had reserved a normal room with "partial sea view" and were upgraded to a suite, as we were staying for quite a long time by local standards (a week and a half). The suite in question was 78 square meters with nice, big sliding glass windows but no balcony to speak of, only a narrow ledge barely wide enough to stand on. The partial sea view was indeed there.
The furniture is typical IKEA and has seen better days, although the overall appearance is OK. The bathroom is large, not very well lit as is often the case in hotels, but the fixtures there show their age in a more accented manner.
The air conditioning works well and there is often enough breeze to dispense with it when windows are open both in the living room and in the bedroom. The internet, unfortunately, is much more unstable and unreliable. There are several wifi networks covering all areas (your room, the pool area, the area down by the sea) but none works very well. Sometimes the connection disappears entirely, sometime you do have wifi but internet pages just don't load. Avoid this place if you depend on a strong and reliable connection. When it works, the speed is OK, but when it doesn't, it can be at least a half-hour, sometimes longer than an hour, until the problem is fixed.
Now, what about hostelry per se? Well, first of all, be alerted to the fact that most people here have no command whatsoever of the English language.
