The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay, going out of their way to help make our vist an unforgettable one. The breakfasts offered a wide choice of sweet and savoury foods including wonderful home made pastries, breads and cakes. Everything in the hotel is immaculately clean and well-cared for and it is in easy walking distance to many must-see destinations and the tram system that will take you everywhere else. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. |

The room was large and comfortable, the staff was interested, helpful and very polite. As this is a small hotel they knew who we were and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The location is perfect for seeing the old city of Istanbul- in walking distance to everything, but far enough to be quiet and away from the mobs. While a small matter, there was a charge for fresh juice, which seemed out of place. |

This was the perfect location for exploring the sights of Istanbul. We visited the main sights such as the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, the Grand Bazar and the Topkapi Palace. All were within easy walking dsitance. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave good advice, helping us to organise our sightseeing. Breakfast featured local foods including handmade village cheeses and special Turkish cakes with freshly squeezed juice - yum, yum! |

Almost everything: the kindness and willingness to help of all hotel employees, how clean everything was, useful information given about the city, etc. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Although other rooms had TV cable connection, our room had a problem and had only 3 channels. Otherwise, a great hotel. |

The staff was very helpful. The location is great and worths money Rooms are very comfortable but expect small room size. Keep in mind that the cost of the hotel is calculated in TRL with exchange rate of the hotel (normal practice in Istanbul). |

mr.oner and the other members of the staff are outstandingly helpful, respectful, friendly, intelligent. hard working and welcoming. the location could not be more centrally located, charming and quiet. you feel yourself to be both in the heart of istanbul but some how, a little separate from it located at a quiet part of the sultanamet street. rooms are clean, small and pretty and the breakfasts are the freshest and most delicious i have had at any 5 star hotel. if you are traveling alone or with others, if you are a woman or a man, you are treated with care and respect. the hotel is just about perfect! the hotel is fairly new and i would suggest that they provide one computer for the shared use of the guests if they are traveling without one..( the manager was kind enough to lend me his when i needed it. which was extremely generous ) |

The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel seemed recently refurbished so everything looked new. The Darussaade has a lot of charm and looks welcoming. I was happy to return there after walking all day. No elevator but the staff was very helpful with the luggage. Our delux double room was small but it had a view of the Bosphorus which was a nice surprise. I think some of the other delux rooms had more space but no view. I was not happy about the top floor fire escape which was attached to the window of one of the three rooms (not ours). Hopefully our neighbor would have remembered to unlock his door if there was a need to use the fire escape! |

The hotel looks newly furnished and the room is clean. Excellent breakfast which is much much more better than other turkish style one. The air-conditioning is not that ideal, making the room is not cool enough. The view is being blocked by other buildings. |

Many positives about this hotel: staff go out of their way to be as helpful and amenable as possible, they really are as amazing as every other comment suggests. Room was beautiful, we were upgraded upon arrival which was a nice touch. Location is perfect if you want to stay in Sultanahmet (although if I came again I'd probably stay on the other side of the city which is far less touristy), since it is only 5 minutes walk from all the major tourist sites, and yet set back off the street, which makes it slightly less hectic. The breakfast was lovely. Our room was lovely, but as the first room next to the reception area, it was right on street level which meant we had to keep the curtains closed at all times to prevent people looking in at us through the windows. The location of our room also meant that street noise was quite consistent. However, this may have been less of a problem in any of the other rooms which were on a raised level, and it in no way affected our enjoyment of our visit. |

It was a cosy hotel, lovely old style Ottaman building and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good as well. Also, since we had to check out much before our flight, we requested the hotel if we could leave our luggage there till later. Upon returing after exploring the sites, they very kindly obliged another of our requests to use their shower facilites in the mini spa to freshen up before heading to the airport. Plus the location of the hotel is very central to many of the famous sites which made it a lot easier to get around. The rooms were quite small and cramped with all the furniture and the aircon was not working well. Also, the hotel did not have an elevator which may pose a problem for some people. Howevern our overall experience was very satisfactory and would definitely recommend it to family and friends. |

The hotel itself is excellent it is a traditional wooden Turkish house which has been fully refurbished. The staff are very friendly and kind and the location is very close to the main attractions. There was only one thing I have to complain about. If possible do not stay on the ground floor as the sound insultation is very poor due to the wooden floor boards. You can hear every sound the guest above you makes. The first two nights were fine but the guests on the last night of my visit were so noisy it was really disturbing. If it wasn't my last night at the hotel I would have asked to move to another room. |
