Cave Hotel Saksagan offers a unique experience at a family-run hotel, in rooms carved into the rocks, offering superb views over Goreme.
Score from 121 reviews Very good
With ornately carved accommodation in the mountain range, this cave hotel has panoramic views of Goreme’s Fairy Chimneys. Goreme town center is a 5 minute walk away.

This boutique cave hotel is situated in Cappadocia, in the untouched village of Ortahisar.
Score from 8 reviews Wonderful
Staff didn't speak much English but they were really lovely. Room was cute and of a decent size. Wifi signal was good in our room. Location is a great base for exploring Cappadocia without being in Goreme proper
Sometimes little bits of the ceiling would fall down, especially in the bathroom, which felt a little unsafe. The smell of the bathroom drain came into the room at night. The mosque nearby is ridiculously loud.
The couple that owns this pension are amazing people, very nice to talk with! The rooms where neat and comfortable. We enjoyed staying there and we will certainly come again!
for a small price you get a clean room, quiet and with a nice view over the caves.
toilet is very tiny very little english spoken by the host
Appo and his wife make guests feel like part of the family. The view from my balcony of the cave houses opposite was wonderful. Even though I booked into the dormitory I was given a room to myself. This pension was the best value for money that I have found in 4 weeks in Turkey.
You'll feel like home. The hosts are very kind, the location is just perfect, a few minutes from the fairy chimneys and the centre of Urgup, which is a lovely town, much better than Goreme. The cave rooms are big with a perfect temmperature inside, and the view from the patio is so beautiful...
No breakfast, but the hosts always offer coffee, tea, wine... The bed was a bit uncomfortable and part of the ceiling was falling into pieces. No closet and cleanness to be improved...
they were friendly and did try but the place just needs a lot of work, really awkward...
no one really spoke english, which for a hostel is really confusing. they tried to charge us per day not per night....who does that?
Really nice people there! Treat us like family and taught us a lot about turkish culture! The room is big as well and comfortable as well.
The facility is a little bit old, but still clean and generally comfortable.
Nice host Cheap price
Dog barked all night Room very cold no heat Room very uncomfortable
Oh well it's not for November, however the spot is magnificent...
The rooms are not equipt for November holidays...
Hosts Ülkü and Apo are fantastic. I feel lucky to have the chance staying there and very enjoy the time we spent together. Great view from balcony, the old cave and ancient structures are just there, I love the cozy and slow temple.
Some dusts and small rocks falling down from the ceiling, but it's acceptable.
Mr. Apo and his wife and staff were super sweet. They were very caring and always checking in with me, being a solo woman traveler. They invited me to eat dinner with them and also for tea many times. Boncuk, their dog, was very friendly and made me feel like I was staying at a home not a guesthouse.
My room was quite leaky to the outside and so got cold at night but once I cuddled up under the covers, I was fine.
