The fact it´s a cave hotel....

The guys from the reception are just concerned about selling daily tours...If you don´t buy with them they change their behaviour. Breakfast is very simple and localization is ok but there´s a medium clibing to get the hotel.

Very well located, very nice welcoming from the owner of the place and the staff. Very nice also for arranging local activity. Waking up each morning with the sound of the hot air ballon flying over the hotel is very exclusive anbd really magic !

We stayed in a spacious triple room which was tastefully decorated with a chimney in the corner overlooking the rose garden. We enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day walking. The breakfast had a good selection including home made mulberry jam made from the 250 years old mulberry tree in the courtyard. The garden itself is an oasis, colourful flowers in front of the 'fairy chimney' and overlooking the Goreme village. The manager was a good host and personable. He gave us a good tip of a nearby sunset spot and organised the hot air balloon ride and airport transfer for us. The staff are friendly and cooked delicous made to order breakfast such as french toasts and cheese omelette.

Just a minor point for imrovement: the room is big enough to have a couple of chairs for sipping tea, which would be a nice to have.

Good location, nice rooms with TV, great stuff. They tried to make us more confortable all the time; gave us the warmest room, managed food for us at night and helped a lot for our any question.

a fridge and an armchair is missing may be but not a problem at all.

Perfect hotel for cappadocia -- staying in a cave hotel gives you the right setting and feel for the place we are visiting

While the place was spotless and generally V. comfortable, I found some facilities to be old and not well kept up, namely the jacuzzi. This can be improved thru modest upkeep.

Absolutely appalled by the the way they conduct business, they charge one price and advertise a lower one that they actually e-mail you after checkout. As a foreigner, I hate feeling taken advantage of as I was here. I am also reporting this hotel to the Turkish tourism authority.

Loved the room. We had a deluxe double room and it was very comfortable and very private. The staff were excellent and very helpful, especially the guy who brought breakfast in the morning (I forgot his name). Also when we arrived in the morning after a 12 hour bus ride, they allowed us to have breakfast even though we haven't checked in yet, which was a nice gesture.

We stayed there for 5 nights yet they did not change the sheets or the towels once, which we found very disappointing. We did leave the keys for the room to be "cleaned" by I honestly don't know what they did, as nothing was touched, not even the key/coffee was filled. But this does not detract much from our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed

Dervish Cave House is a charming, friendly family-run hotel. This hotel is excellent value for money. Views are terrific. 5-10 minute walk into the center of Goreme. Hotel staff were all so friendly. Cemal's English is terrific and he was so helpful in arranging hot air balloon and ATV tours (both excellent!), touring, and airport transport. Our family room was spacious, the breakfast was lovely. There are other more luxurious hotels in Cappadocia, but Dervish Cave House was wonderful.

Spectacular setting and location. Cave rooms are a delight and bathrooms are excellent.

As soon as we came from Istanbul I felt this was a heaven n earth. Beautiful, rustic, peaceful, relaxing and clean! Finally someone spoke more then 3 words of English. We loved hotel, had breakfast on panoramic garden terrace and it is just a small walk 100 m from centre. Only reason we did not fully relax was our 15 months old son running around all day. Last day there was no electricity but we did not even care.....that's the kind of atmosphere....
