The staff was extremely accommodating, i.e.. homemade cake with a tea/coffee was given when we arrived; luggage taken out to the parking lot and ample breakfasts at our choice of time of delicious fresh foods. The room was of a good size and very clean. Location is close to wharf, ferries and downtown amenities. A bit noisy at night - lots of university students walking about.

The location was excellent. It is located right on the center of Canakkale, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the hotel was a very quaint look and feel to it. Extremely clean which is top priority for me. Although parking is not provided, the parking lot is right next to the hotel. Since it is in a centralized location, it tends to be a bit noisy at night, so I suggest taking a pair of earplugs. However, that factor would not stop us from staying there again.

The staff are fantastic. One lunch time we asked for cutlery and crockery for our lunch. We returned to our room to find a table set for dinner on our balcony. This is a very comfortable and friendly small hotel. The bathroom is a little cramped.

the hotel had a wonderful location, close to beautiful shops, lovely restaurants and the seaside. The hotel is tastefully decorated with beautiful furnishings and great attention to detail! We loved it!! Canakkale is a lovely town and an excellent stop-over between Istanbul and the rest of the coast.

Is a nice and small hotel near the seaside and the ferry port on the area with restaurants on the City Center. The personal was very helpfull eaven they need to improve a little their English. The bathroom is very small and the water for shower is not warm enought if you are not a Scotish people. In the room only one radiator from two are working and the temperature in the room in the winter period not was very confortable, I was oblige to use A/C witch is noisy and a little bit uncongortable.

It was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It is the place where Hans Schiellman, the discoverer (and looter) of Troy, stayed. Has been beautifully restored and facilities are excellent. Cheap nearby (20metres) parking. In a word brilliant and to be recommended. Nothing disliked. Traffic a little noisy at times but very minor hassle.

Great little boutique hotel near waterfront and close to ferry and bus terminal. People very friendly and spoke some English. Room was small but very clean, warm and not noisy surprisingly, given its location. It also had a fridge - very surprising for most European hotels. Highly recommended

The hotel is in the center. The view of my room was very nice. The place is pretty authentic. The night clubs near the hotel are very loud nad can disturp your peace in the middle of the night. It is expensive comparision with the hotels with similar features.

The room was a good size and very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is very small. It is right in the centre of Canakkale and only 80 metres from the ferry to Gallipoli. Public parking was available across the street for 15TL per day (7 Euro or US$8). Breakfast was personalised and comprehensive.

Des Etrangers Hotel it's a very well located building with a lot of charm, nice rooms, excellent service and very nice people attending you. It's close to çanakkale ferryboat and seaside walk so you have all services close to you, and also it's a nice and quiet place to rest after the day. The people who run the place are always very kind and they're always trying to help you in anything you need. A must if you plan to visit çanakkale...without doubt!

The staff was extremely service minded. The room was clean and newly decorated. The hotel is located in the old town and is very charming. The history of the hotel goes back to 1860'ies. We had a lovely traditional Turkish breakfast on the backstreet under a tree and the morning sun. Very romantic. The mirror in the bath room was made for dwarfs and not for a 187 cm tall person like me. Anyway I just skipped shawing that day and I survived :-)

The staff was super kind and friendly. The location is great as well--shopping, waterfront, the trojan horse, restaurants, and the like can be accessed on foot. I would highly recommend this hotel without any reservation. Great choice!
